With a quarter of the season now gone, we’ve decided to cast an eye over the shooting accuracy of the Premier League’s finest in this, our latest Numbers Game article for Members.

In order to eliminate most anomalies here, only those players who have had at least 10 shots at goal and have at least 2 goals are analysed. This still leaves a substantial sample size of the top flight’s main men to scour over and turns up the usual array of interesting results.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Yeah that was my initial thought and Jara is playing atm. But Blackpool away and City at home w/o Tevez, I do wonder

It depends on your first sub and who your captain choice would be otherwise.
I'm guessing you have no Arsenal coverage so then maybe it might be worth it

well first sub is Scholes, but I have Nani and dont really want to double up on Man Utd midfield. I have no Arsenal coverage and I would captain Chamakh to at least get the 4 points back, assuming he plays 65 mins of course. But surely he'll score???

I don't blame you, Spurs are far superior this season, expect them to leave there with all 3 points this season.

They would have to play Neville and Rafael to stop Bale.

gameweek 12 is a midweek fixture to those who didn't know. found out today.

that means tevez only has 12 days before the man u match to sort his head out. wolves have to play arsenal a few days after man u away. they'll be shattered. fulham have villa then chelsea away. man city and man u probs rest players against west brom before the big derby. look out for the smaller teams which aren't used to playing 3 competitive games in a week. maybe save up a transfer for the inevitable injuries???

    How do I get Fabs?

    Team: Schwarzer,
    Elmo-Coleman-ACole-Foley(…)
    Malouda-Van der Vaart-Nani
    Chamakh-Berbatov-Drogba
(Albrighton, De Jong, Perch, Gilks. 1.0 in the bank)

Disregard a couple of obvious weaknesses: How do I get Fabregas?
I guess my main idea would be to swap Malouda for Fab (plus a little money from swapping away Schwarzer or Berbatov). But is it worth it?

I'd say it's 60-40 in favour of him starting. Carlo bragged him up big style after the Wolves game and stated how important he was to the team in future.

    My team:

    Gilks

    Mummy Bos Jags

    Fab Nasri VDV Adam

    Cham Dembele Drog

    Subs: Foster Brunt Hangeland Baptiste

Already taken an unwanted 8 point hit this GW but any comments on selection?

Due to Tevez fallout I now have 2.5 in the bank and plan to get in Kol and RVP as and when with Hang, Cham and Baptiste binned.

Can someone set up a FORUM here??? Please!!!

I am not so convinced with Fabregas & Nasri pair with Chamakh, Better have Nani or Arteta to boost midfield and all around cover if you haven't put your fingers at the trigger yet.

well you got tricky there, I would have Hangeland for Elmo there just because he's playing at home.

So how does this midweek fixture thingy work?
Do I get 2 transfers in those 8 days?
Can I transfer players on/off, change captains?

Different gameweeks altogether just occuring faster than usual. Midweek fixtures are unlike double fixture where you have some teams playing twice.
So, you will have a free transfer, options to change captain and so forth.

Why does it state on the team news page that Palacios will start? He only started last week cos his mum was in town. Hudds 98% certain to start ahead of Palacios.

biggest stat from this post for me is essiens third top shots. only 7% shots as goals playing in lampards position as most advanced of the three. imagine franky having all those chances. lamps as a differential?

help me out with the season ticker and the difficulty of the match. If I look at Blackburn v Chelsea, it states Blackburn have a very difficult task ahead of them, yet last year it was 1-1 and Chelsea were excellent last year also.

Then I look at Man Utd v Tottenham and it states Man Utd have an average chance, yet last year was 3-1, year before 5-2 and year before that 1-0.

How are these "chances" arrived at?

plus i think only reason drogs was taking free kicks/pens when lampard was on the pitch at the beginning of the season was because lampard was carrying that niggle and didn't want to be smashing the ball. when fully fit i think "the best finisher in football" will take over duties again.
