Rooney is more nailed on, cheaper, and captain.

I'm thinking of getting Sterling too, but worried he might be rested. Rooney played alright had 3 clear chances, but couldn't finish. ADM's creativity should be good for him in FPL.

    Morning DZ.

Odds of both Sterling and Rooney starting after playing 90 minutes last night?
    Odds of Mata starting?

Rooney is 100%. Sterling, depending on how the game is going, I could see being subbed off as they have UCL a few days later. But, then again, he is probably their best player so he could play 90 just as well!

That's my thinking too, one is club captain, other one is their best player plus no Sturridge. Cheers.

Yep Sterling may come off early but only if the business is donw and if so, he'll likely already be in the points 😎

Sterling and Rooney both almost certain to start. Uncertain on Mata, depends on how LVG wants to fit Falcao in/whether Falcao starts vs QPR

As a United fan, I'd love to see Rooney, RVP and Radamel start.

But my FPL mind tells me otherwise. Falcao to come on off the bench, I reckon.

I think that'll be the way to go. Just not sure he'll throw Falcao in the starting lineup straight away, maybe sub appearance for a couple of games or so imo

Personally I think Mata will start vs QPR and maybe even keep his place in the longer term. I have mata atm but am definitely gonna do Mata > Sterling this week, just in case Mata doesnt start and Sterling is a much better option anyway

Mata will keep his place in the starting squad.

I reckon the attack could wind up being:

              RVP, Falcao
              Rooney
              Mata, Herrera, ADM
              Blind

The three at the back are anyone's guess. Januzaj hits the bench.

Falcao will start 90% imo. I know how LVG thinks he'd want to give him as much time as possible to score. Plus United need that confidence to win their first game and without Falcao it will bring back memories from the last three games. Philosophy 😉

    K : Bego > Guzan to save .5, and Guzan/Krul rotate well
D : very strong (i prefer Coleman to Baines, but realize Baines is on PKs)
M: Prefer Fab over ADM, only because it may take ADM a while to settle in
    F : Not a fan of Balo

If you want Aguero, i'd get him now. Fixtures almost don't matter, and trying to get the $$$ for him later will be tough if you don't have a WC to use. Upgrade Balo > Aguero ands Pelle > Naismith.

How's this looking for upcoming GW gents?

    Krul 4.0

    JT Chester Clyne (Pva Hutton)

    Tadic Rambo Hazard Siggy (4.5)

    Rooney Bony Costa

    1 FT and 0.5 ITB

    A) Rooney to Falcao

    B) Bony to Ade

    C) Bony to Welbz

    D) tadic Bony out . ADM Welbz in for -4

      A is sideways
B is somewhat sideways but ok since I wouldnt double up Swans
C is 4 weeks too early
D Nah, Tadic is explosive imminent.

Might consider save FT or B at most.

I'd want a Liverpool in there though.
      Personally I would Haz-> Sterling

Thinking Weln\beck in and Ramesy out for Tadic

Arsenal fixtures not so great but would rather get Welbeck from the start,he is such good value that may as wel get him now, especially as the alternative options are not so great

Dont want two Arsenal right now so will take out Ramsey, and give Tadic a chance to thrive. If after a few weeks he is not producing the goods will bring Sanchez or Walcott in

    1. Koflok
      • 13 Years
      11 years, 3 months ago

Value won't be a matter with this price movement.

I'd rather go 1 week late than 4 weeks early.

Tadic is looking good though. I'd get him in somehow

      1. Twelve years a slave

Transfers matter though , which is why im getting him now

        1. Koflok
          • 13 Years
          11 years, 3 months ago

Just saying getting him early because you want him at a good value at this point won't be a good idea. 4 weeks from now he's most likely gonna be still a good value.

His next 4 fixtures isn't the best, I think there are better alternatives out there. And it's a good period to put him in our watchlist.

But if you have full confidence in him, go get him in tiger!

The 0.1m rise isn't the reason to be reluctant. His 2 goals and 4th highest point total this year for midfielders is the reason not to take him out. 3 of the next 4 fixtures are rough, but then he should score like last year.

              I said "in part" 😉
3/4 fixtures being rough may be reason enough to lose him for the time being. But his high ownership could kill me.

Chelsea have the harder match and bigger squad to rotate, although I expect Fabregas to play the 90. Most managers have a tendency to bring-off their flair players if thinking about a mid-week match.

      Costa: 70mins
      Hazard: 80mins
      Fabregas: 90mins

      Sterling: 80mins

I'm captaining Sterling for what it's worth.

I've got all 3 Sterling, Ramsey, Mata ... and Mata will be first overboard if he doesn't play vs. QPR

I've also considered dropping Ramsey (currently on WC).

Fixtures are terrible in the short term. ADM or Fabregas if I do? Already have Sterling and Hazard...

No. Sterling is the one 'essential' right now. However, try and keep Ramsey (due to ownership %), take out Mata.

I would get Sterling in for either. I'd keep Ramsey as he's guaranteed more minutes on the pitch and is still ticking along on key passes and seems to always be in the box irregardless of where his starting position is.

Love Mata as a player, and he could still deliver, but if you had to sell one...it'd have to be Mata.

You mean the guy who just scored twice for his international team? Lot of people underestimate Welbeck. If Rooney scored twice last night everyone would be scrambling to get him into their team.

Joel Campbell scores for his international team. I'm not doubting his quality, I just don't think he's as necessary as some are insisting.

I think it's more to do with his price in the game. 6.9m for a starting striker for Arsenal is a bargain and that cash can be used to good effect elsewhere.

He's not guaranteed success but he ticks all the boxes.

Any one else have Phil Jones and what are you doing?

    My options...

    A) Wait for LVG to say something.
    B) Transfer out - Moreno, Lovren or Shawcross?
    C) Play PvA (TOT), Jones won't be out for long.

Current defence Krul - Foster - Cahill - Clyne - PvA - Wisdom - Jones

I'm holding on to Jones until LVG says something - probably Friday. I made the mistake of pulling out Costa for a hammy injury, and that cost me big time. Not making the same mistake twice.

I'd suggest A, then probably do C to avoid a point hit unless you have a FT.

The blocking all game was atrocious which definitely doesnt help anything, Eli was given no time in the pocket and the only receiver who played well was the one everyone thought the least of. Plus DRC all game has no chance again Megatron who just pulverized their secondary all night long, from the mishap on the first drive throughout

    Bego - Gilks
    Cahill-Jones-Chambers-Moore-Baird
    Siggy-Rambo-Sterling-Lamela-Fab
    Rooney-Costa-Mcaleny

A pure 3-5-2 going for 11 nailed on starters. Planning on Cahill>Bertrand/Moreno to free up some money for Rooney>Aguero

Would you double up on Stoke for the next few weeks, 1 FT this week and considering Chambers>Wilson

Chambers could be a great utility to keep hold of though, he is Arsenal's third choice center back and with Champo league coming up....? Mert/Kos like the treatment table.

Maybe hold and keep the two FT?

I’ve gone with Aguero and I feel Silva will be heavily involved in these coming weeks. The thing is how brave are you to roll without Aaron Ramsey? I was thinking of dropping him but playing safe can be a good thing. I would drop Silva I had to choose.

          Cromulent.
This dilemma sums up what i have been thinking recently about this season. There are so many options in midfield and up front that hopefully teams will end up looking quite different. The elation is scoring unique points on a player you have but others in your league don't. The obvious inverse is when you miss out. Makes the season more interesting/ infuriating which imo is great.

Any of these players could make or break a given game week ( i know ANY single player like Nolan could do this but these are more 'odds on')-

Forwards- Aguero, RVP, Sturridge, Falcao, Costa, Rooney, Mario B. To lesser extent- Lukaku, Ade, Bony, Benteke, Dzeko, Pelle

Mids- Hazard, Fab, Ramsey, Sanchez, Di Maria, Yaya, Sterling, Silva, Walcott, Siggy. To lesser extent- Ozil, Gerrrd, Mata, Nasri, Lamella, Erikson,Tadic(?)

Mata likely to start this GW? Will be shifting him soon, but want to get one more week out of him if possible.

Fully rested, more training sessions with LVG during this int'l break, Falcao not guaranteed to start right away. But then shite form and confidence might be on the low side.

      Let's see...

Fully rested because he's not good enough to get called up for international duty.

More training sessions for LVG to see just how unathletic he actually is.

      Generally shite, even in preseason.

no, those are good points and I don't disagree. But I just wanted to know if from an FPL perspective, it would be prudent to just keep and assess.

Because if I do keep, I can use the FT to free up some cash to do upgrade Mata next GW. If I do swap him out this week, it would be a 'downgrade' in terms of bringing in a cheaper player (though you can't really downgrade from his shite form)
