Gameweek 4 comes to its conclusion this evening as Hull play host to West Ham at the KC. It’s one of those occasions where a goalless draw may best serve Fantasy managers – neither team has a midfielder or attacker with over 3% ownership in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, a clear sign of our lack of faith in their respective attacks.

The team news is in and sees Steve Bruce make two changes from the side that lost to Villa last time around. New boys Mo Diame and Abel Hernandez both come into the starting XI at the expense of Tom Ince and Paul McShane, while fellow deadline-day signings Hatem Ben Arfa and Gaston Ramirez are afforded a place on the bench. James Chester is also amongst the subs as the Tigers boss opts for a four-man backline.

Sam Allardyce makes a trio of alterations to his first-team. Guy Demel comes in for Joey O’Brien at right-back, while summer signings Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia get the nod as Carlton Cole and Ricardo vaz Te drop to the bench. Carl Jenkinson recovers from injury to be named amongst the subs along with new boys Alex Song and Morgan Amalfitano.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I hope my front 7 will be serving me nicely for a while, as I really need to clear my defence from the likes of Chester, Caulker, Collo/Krul 🙁

Caulker will score against Stoke bro

Krul CS against Hull upcoming as well. Sit tight my man!

Coloccini should be on the chopping block though as x2 Newcastle is risky, and Krul might at least get save points like he did this weekend

    Best third striker option

Rooney,Falcao,Welbeck, Balotelli. Already have Sánchez for arsenal cover and Sterling for Liverpool Cover.

Don't believe in cover. Pick the player, not "cover"

3rd striker depends on your whole team as budget varies. I have Naismith because I want rotation

    Krul, Mannone

It's decent, but you might want to consider:
Whether you should double up on Gunners given their tough fixtures (maybe Ramsey > ADM OR Welbeck > Pelle?)
Benching dilemma with that front 8 if Zaha catches form - maybe it's better to downgrade him?
GK: I own Krul too, but wouldn't be including him in a WC draft if I were choosing now

      Good luck

Of course not. Just maybe do Chester>Naylor or similar. Or downgrade Terry so you can upgrade Eriksen to ADM or similar.

So, are we assuming that Chester is 'terminal' or just tactical for this game? Or rested due to international game?

    1. Darth
      • 14 Years
      11 years, 3 months ago

Terminal unless they switch back to a back 3

      1. Darth
        • 14 Years
        11 years, 3 months ago

Yeah I was thinking Mirrallas but he's just so inconsistent.

      • 12 Years
      11 years, 3 months ago

Pretty terminal I'd say. All those mids they've brought in, plus a top striker to pair with Jelavic.... more likely to play 4 at the back to fit them all in.

    2. Ludo
      • 12 Years
      11 years, 3 months ago

Looks like Dawson/Davies is the favourite pairing if they're playing with a back four. You'd imagine Chester would come back in with a back three, but no guarantees if and when Bruce will do that.

  10. Darth

    11 years, 3 months ago

Who would you captain out of this lot?

    Sterling. Fabregas. Mirrallas. Sigurdsson.
    Balotelli. Diego Costa. Falcao.

    1. Ludo
      • 12 Years

Mirallas would be tempting me, or Sterling... Could just go Costa, despite the tough fixture.

Good point. I suppose it's enough of a risk just owning him. I think Sterling is as good a choice as any this week, plenty calling him a captaincy option a few days ago, nothing's changed that, will surely start vs West Ham.
