With a quarter of the season now gone, we’ve decided to cast an eye over the shooting accuracy of the Premier League’s finest in this, our latest Numbers Game article for Members.

In order to eliminate most anomalies here, only those players who have had at least 10 shots at goal and have at least 2 goals are analysed. This still leaves a substantial sample size of the top flight’s main men to scour over and turns up the usual array of interesting results.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Crouch & Pavlewhatshisname are static. I've seen grown men crawl to a pub faster than those two could run.

Defoe's movement around the box may just be what Sp*rs need to bring out the best in VDV.

VDV is completely on a different wavelength to, well, just about every other player in that team.

just being nosey thats all. I've been taking the game really seriously this year and been listening to people on the forums then checking there ranking and they're in the 1mil plus. Its good to know who's giving the advice if you know what i mean. I think they should post your ranking next to your name, so you can see which advice is probably more accurate.

yeah and obviously means nothing first few gameweeks. also a button for "like" so that people who write good comments have +156 likes which means they write a lot of sense. rewards people for writing constructive comments.

its just when you say malouda or cesc and two people say cesc and one malouda you might let that change your mind even though that one guy is top of the league and contributes a lot of good comments instead of bullshit for a laugh.

what ranking you aiming for this year. I was aiming top 5k. wasted wildcard but been really lucky with injuries touch wood and basically always had the side i wanted. Might aim top 1k next year. we'll see. depends on work.

we tried that like thing, didnt work, it really is too fluid on here for that stuff. bottom line is ye gotta make your own decisions ye know. Go with your own gut, its all about your decisions, your playing the game. i wasnt gonna get hernandez n, was told not to by alot of people, but its fun to have a gamble, and i have a gut feeling. look for the info you dont know on here, but ye gotta take responsibility for your own stuff. Its really pointless only making decisions based on what others say completely. nOt saying thats what youre doing, but you get my drift.

my mentalness this week is not getting fabs as i like my midfield (no malouda) and im benching drogs. I think its a good decision, and the benefits that it might give me far out weigh the negatives. Hernadez and carrol jsut look like better options to me, NO FEAR man 🙂

anyway, im off to scratherland, peace out man.

Fab/Carroll. Drogba is 32, and while great, he is too old to provide Ronaldo-like returns all year, especially considering Malouda's great form and Lampard's near term return. Cesc willgo crazy over the next several easy ARS fixtures. And Carroll looks like this year's Zaki, fairly unplayable. With Simpson back, along with Enrique-Jonas-Routledge/Guthrie -- that's lots of crosses to feast off offor Carroll.

shev was past it. wouldn't say chelsea had much to do with it. chelsea were chasing for a while and milan only let him go when they knew the deal was right. think they just wanted a russianish player at any cost. although shev does pop up here often

Alright thanks guys. Hopefully concrete news will come out tomorrow. And if he goes down to 10.7 then I can buy him back later (I can sell for 10.7)

Reading on here the last few days it feels like Fabregas is the second coming of Christ. All these people moving players to fit him in to their side. He is injury prone, and whilst a brilliant player, is it worth dumping players of the calibre of Malouda (points machine) to get him in to your team. Or making 2 or 3 trades to accomodate. They make you feel like you are going to die if you don't have Fabs. Personally, I hope the bugger gets injured again .... wouldn't that shake things up a bit???

OK. I transferred Tevez for Hernandez and have 4 million in the bank to get him back in 2 weeks. Have a feeling Hernandez will score well in the next 2 games. But watch Belotelli get a hat trick. Nothing surpises me.

Belotelli would be a great differential if I had the guts to make that move.

why do FPL give Tevez a yellow flag for "doubtful"? How can there be any doubt?! -- he is in Argentina for hesus' sake

One think is for sure. We won't be seeing people get 2,400 + points in the FPL this season. All the best tranfers are in Spain and Torres, Rooney, Lampard, etc are not scoring like they did in past years...and everyone has the same team forcing people to go for 4.5 million differentials.

If Rooney does go, Fergie should sell him to Real Madrid and try to get Benzema and about 30-40 million which can be used to get Wesley Sneijder. No way would I sell him to an EPL rival. Wishful thinking.

If you had Drogba - Tevez - Odemwingie

Would you take the 4 point hit to bring in Hernandez for Tevez?

I am considering bringing in Torres or Hernandez.

      My midfield is

Fabregas - Malouda - Dempsey - Barton - Van der Vaart

Alex is 62% towards another price drop. Could be a cheap entry into those Chelsea defensive points.

Already have Bosingwa. Toying without the idea of picking up Alex next gameweek.

I'd wager they collect more clean sheets than any other team this season. Although that's hardly controversial.

Anybody remember roughly how much Landon Donovan was last season, and what position he was in? I was just watching Tim Howard's SSN interview and was thinking how I could fit him in 😀

    Hi everyone.

    First post in here.

My team for this GW is:

    Foster
    Elmo Bosingwa Coleman
    Nani Malouda Fab(c) VDV
    Carroll Drog Berbatov

    Bench: Mignolet Adam Dann Simpson

I've got Carroll starting at the moment, but not sure if I should play Adam instead?..
    Any thoughts?
