Every little point counts. With the mini-league gap between myself and co-host Granville widening by the week, my Mancunian friend can ill-afford to throw points aside in his bid to follow up last season’s victorious campaign.

In and around the usual ScoutCast regulars, Granville recalls the dilemma that saw him get away with benching Cesc Fabregas to the tune of just a single point. Will that prove costly?

We then join forces to run the rule over the accelerating Di Maria bandwagon, assess Rooney’s re-positioning and decide whether those steering away from Ramsey Street need to re-programme their sat navs.

Treasure this nonsense via this link or cling to these worldly goods via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

If Falcao explodes this weekend, do you think you'll get him in? Everton, Chelsea, City and Arsenal in the next 6 doesn't sound too promising...

Nah too many players sharing points at United, will sell Rooney after this weekend and be without united-players for 6 weeks at least

This will be my 3rd week with Falcao on my team.
If he doesn't deliver it'll be a transfer to Welbeck or Ulloa.
Opens up all sorts of possibilities for my midfield and defence 🙂

    Adm fabs sterling siggy (boyd)
    BALO costa pelle

i'd definately get him though. he is literally a cheap sanchez, very attacking minded 'midfielder'. However, i think he might not be as valuable now that arsenal midfield is full of amazing options and so wouldnt get the points hauls with ramsey ozil sanchez and walcott all midfield options.

        1. Ludo

Not doubting that he's a brilliant option, I just wouldn't expect him to come straight into the starting line up, playing like his former self.

Hi guys, should I get rid of Krul for Forster (or another keeper) for a hit? Or wait and do it next week with my FT?

    My Team:

    Krul (McCarthy)
    Moreno, Bertrand, Moore, (Hutton, Chester)
    Sterling, Fab, Siggy, ADM, (Boyd)
    Aguero, Costa, Welbeck

    I have 1.1m ITB.

Not for a hit, then you're too reliant on a clean sheet this week. Not many problems with the rest of the team, so no reason you wouldn't be able to do it soon.

Thanks guys, I guess I just got trickerhappy there for a moment. I usually have a strict no-hit policy, but I am just getting sick and tired of Newcastles inability to keep cleanies.

I wouldn't. It's an unnecessary gamble - sure, he may eventually prove to be a big goal threat or bonus magnet - but we know already that both Southampton full backs bomb forward and will pick up attacking points.

I'm doing a summary to post next week but just though a little taster whilst transfers are being contemplated

Top 5 picks of mids playing beyond the striker of their respective teams..First figure is how many times they played beyond the striker and the second one is the number of appearances for the season to date.

    Siggy 4/5
    Hazard 3/5
    Tadic 4/5
    Sanchez 3/4
    Chadli 3/4

Yep..midweek was areal wake up call, albeit in the Mickey Mouse cup. Nonetheless it shows what he's capable of.. I never like using the term but he is seriously a season keeper.

He has the credentials. Those five mids look loaded with pts. I may draw a line in the sand and, as they are affordable, see how they end the season for pts...So in effect "what if" I had wilcarded and left alone based on those simple 5 week stats..Agreed ?

Ok I think I have decided now but need to check with you guys, with 1FT and 2.3m ITB:

    This week: Balotelli->Aguero
    Next week: Rooney->Costa and Lovren->Chambers for -4

    My current team:

    Krul
    Clyne Ivanovic Wisdom
    Sigurdsson Larsson Sterling Fábregas
    Pellè Rooney Balotelli

    Subs: Schmeichel Chadli Lovren Dummett

Feeling really pessimistic about my team this week, for some reason... Looks good on paper, but so does everyone else's. The lack of variety in midfield/attack leaves the defence and captaincy option as a big decider - Costa blank and a QPR goal and my week's pretty likely down the pan.

Double SOT and Costa© In many teams, don't worry.

Quick recommendations for my 2 FT this week please?

    Krul - Gilks

    Azpi - Taylor - Clyne - Wilson - PvA

    Fab - Ramsey - Sterling - Siggy - Boyd

Went for a little differ this week, got Dzeko for Jelly who gets a big pat on the back for the last couple of weeks.

I just felt he was better than Pelle for the next 2 as it looks like he will need to play for city with other strikers not 100%.

Interesting, not afraid of Pelle playnig one striker again, or is that only against "easy" teams? I'm probably doing Balotelli->Aguero.. but Dzeko sure is cheaper

        11 years, 2 months ago

Well I had 9.9 to spend that might put it into better context. I just did not feel comfortable getting Pelle now with him having tot next week and Jelly would have played CPL at home that week. Dzeko I am lucky enough to see him start could be a nice under the radar buy with both other strikers struggling with fitness for City

He is unfairly seen as a pace only type player. He took corners and free kicks, got lots of assists and goals and can dribble pretty well. England would have been better with in the WC.
