Here is a last minute set of Gameweek 6 predictions to help with those 11th hour transfer and captaincy decisions.Liverpool vs Everton

This is a  battle of two stuttering defences. Everton have comitted five errors leading directly to goals this season and the Liverpool back four didn’t looked at ease themselves and opened up easily against tactically well-drilled West Ham. I can see a high scoring game here, and without Luis Suarez, Liverpool might find it difficult to replicate the 4-0 in their last game in January.

Prediction: 2-2

Chelsea vs Aston Villa

On paper this seems an easy test for Chelsea, though Villa have surprised almost everyone with their miserly defines and tactical discipline. Still I can’t see Villa scoring in Stamford Bridge, but I also don’t think the home team will score as freely as they have been doing due to their midweek exertions.

Prediction: 2-0

Crystal Palace vs Leicester

Another match which is expected to be high scoring. With 56 shots conceded inside the box  it is amazing that Leicester have only conceded eight goals. Meanwhile,  Crystal Palace are not as resolute defensively as they were under former manager Tony Pulis.

Prediction: 2-1

Hull vs Manchester City

With late draw against league leaders and a midweek drubbing of Sheffield Wednesday, confidence is high on the blue side of Manchester. Hull are looking somewhat fragile at the back and have conceded two in each of their last three matches. I can only see an easy win for the reigning champions.

Prediction: 0-3

Manchester United vs West Ham

Things are rather gloomy for the Red Devils. Their late collapse against Leicester has caught the eye of the footballing world. With three of their first choice centrebacks injured, a start for teenager Paddy McNair looks likely. In opposition, West Ham will be looking to continue their brilliant start to season which has already seen them scoring nine goals in five matches. This has come at a cost though, with the Hammers failing to keep a clean sheet so far.

Prediction: 3-2

Southampton vs QPR

Southampton have quickly silenced their critics with a run of convincing performances that has gained them a host of admirers and second position in the Premier League table. With momentum and schedule on their side and I can only see a win for the Saints.  A hard match is in store for QPR.

Prediction: 2-0

Sunderland vs Swansea

This looks set to be a cagey affair with Sunderland failing to beat Swansea in the last five meetings. A draw looks like the best scenario for the Black Cats.

Prediction: 1-1

Arsenal – Tottenham

Here comes the North London Derby, which used to be full of goals until last year, when Arsenal won both the matches 1-0. Given the intensity and pride at stake, these derby matches seem to have the unpredictability factor. Though both side would like to gain traction after their slow starts to the season.

Prediction: 2-1

West Brom vs Burnley

While there appears to be plenty of goals about this weekend, this fixture seems set to buck the trend and on paper has 0-0 written all over it. The only reason why I feel this might not be a nil all affair is that Burnley have already played three consecutive goalless draws. Both teams have registered the same number of shots in the box (57) but Burnley  have arguably been more unlucky, having struck the woodwork twice and missed a penalty. My prediction is a narrow victory to Burnley.

Prediction: 0-1

Stoke vs Newcastle

A series of early, insipid displays by Newcastle have made it difficult to cheer for them but they have showed promise over the last week. Stoke, meanwhile, are historically sound at home which make a tight game look likely.

Prediction: 1-0

Thanks again - nice set of predictions. Hope you are wrong about WBA tho, I've doubled up on their defence in the scout picks.

    Decision today:
Play 3-5-2 with Sigurdsson or play 3-4-3 with Ulloa up front?

It really is a flip of a coin but Ulloa has been having a bit of a better run of form
