Our first members article of the week delves into the data of the nine matches played out so far. A number of forwards come under assessment this evening, with Liverpool, United and West Ham’s new frontmen all analysed, whilst we also take a look at City’s resurgent Bosnian, Chelsea’s midfield and Swansea’s worrying lack of impact in the final third.

Best move here chaps? 0.1m short of Tadic & Aguero

    A) Ramsey & Rooney -> Tadic & Sturridge (4 points)

    B) Ramsey & Rooney -> Chadli/Downing/Dyer/Mirallas & Aguero (4 points)

    Krul, Elliot
    Terry, Clyne, Chambers, Wisdom, Hutton
    Hazard, Ramsey, Sterling, Siggy, Albrighton
    Costa, Rooney, Pelle

    Bank 0.1m

Tadic + Falcao or Downing + Aguero. Sturridge will be probably fit after the int. break

As I am 5k in OR, I am really trying to avoid hits. Though should I make an exception this time?

My current XI for the GW7 is:

    Forster
    Moreno - Clyne - Caulker - PvA
    Fabregas - Siggy - Sterling
    Costa - Pelle - Welbeck

Bench: Ramsey - Collocini - Albrighton

    0 FT
    3.8 In the bank

Should I sell Ramsey to one of: Silva, ADM, Ozil and play him over Clyne / Caulker? Or stick with my current XI?

Go with your gut regardless of hit. Hits only hurt you if you make a bad pick, otherwise they will more than make up for themselves over time. I can't understand why people avoid picking up upgraded players in order to avoid taking a hit. If you can't make up 4 points out of any position over the course of owning them, then you've obviously made a terrible choice.

Hits are part of the game and shouldn't be feared. Just make sound choices if your going to take one. Don't go for a 1 week transfer..... Think long term. I always keep track of my hits and compare what I would have made if I held onto the player and I can't think of too many times I lost points over the course of a few weeks.

Going back to your choices... I'd take either ADM or Silva for Ramsey before your not only missing out on points, but start losing team value as well.

Any movement in price means I can't do my required trades so may need to pull the trigger today.

I checked with the help of a few guys that Debuchy under Red Flag and high ownership had his Price Drop at 250k transfers out (ownership drop of 21.6 -> 13.3%)

So I think that could be a rough benchmark for Rooney and Ramsey .. Rooney is 159k Transfers out atm and Ramsey 126k

So Dzeko, averaging 15 goals and 6 assists last 3 seasons.

This year, no competition from Negredo.

Played in a more advanced role than Aguero last match.

Jovetic and Aguero partnership didn't work when tried (lost 1-0 at home to Stoke)

    What's not to like?

After one game they played together in I'm not sure Pelegrini has given up on a Jovetic + Aguero partnership. Aguero can play as a loan striker and has proven it when Tevez was still in the side.

    2. Solenya
      • 14 Years
      11 years, 4 months ago

He's a good option no doubt. The thing is you need patience with him since he'll give you a 13 as he did this week and then go AWOL for 2-3 weeks. Thing is that, most looking for a Rooney replacement seem to have funds for Aguero, plus Dzeko's been rested once or twice already. That's his downside for you.

      1. Think Tank
        • 12 Years
        11 years, 4 months ago

True, but he's less injury prone and has out-scored Aguero last 2 seasons despite limited game time.

For those not wanting Aguero, he may be a better option than Silva.

I am gonna watch this one closely .. there are two scenarios ,

              A) He drops at the Transfers out No at 250k
              or
              B) drops at the percentage of 8% ownership drop

It should be 10% of ownership times 2.5 for red flag

He was owned by about a million , would normally have dropped at 100m
With the red it should be around 250,000

But that was last years rules, no guarantee it will be the same

This Downing and Tadic love blows my mind...ok fair enough Tadic is on pens and looks great but until he starts producing decent returns im not tying up one of my mid spots with him especially when everyone have Bertand and Pelle and now triple Soton!!! As for Downing....I know the stats blah blah but its Downing...like what 1 goal and 2 assists in 2 seasons

Sigurdsson is owned by 40.8 % and has produced 1 goal and 4 assists and is 1.1 mil more expensive than Downing who is owned by 3.3% so there is differential. I believe midfielders under 9 mil should produce in about 40% of their games and they ll be ok. Tadic and Downing have produced in half of their games so far (apart from the pens or corners that will give them more points) , so there is the love you mention.

Not a bad idea but doesn't sound all that great either...too exp with not enough returns. Aguero just got his first bonus points and then limped off. Silva not explosive enough in my opinion. But that's just my opinion.

Having taken a look at your team, I'd say go for it. Having Silva on your team already shouldn't affect your pick.

I personally went for Falcao over Aguero as United have been pretty good offensively and I don't want to miss out on their attacking potential..

Also the cash saved will help me get a good 3rd forward

Rooney and caulker to aguero and vanaan
Rooney and Ramsey to aguero and tadic and spare change
