Our Monday afternoon regular is rolled out once again, as we scour the Premier League treatment rooms to assess the players who picked up injuries over the weekend action.

Arsenal
Aaron Ramsey (hamstring), Mikel Arteta (calf) and Jack Wilshere (ankle) were all forced off during Saturday evening’s north London derby. After the match, Arsene Wenger admitted he was somewhat surprised by the Welshman’s withdrawal as central midfield concerns mount up:

“Wilshere, if you look at the incident again, has been tackled and turned his ankle over. Ramsey is a concern that he did his hamstring. I don’t understand because he had a good rest this week, I didn’t play him against Southampton on Tuesday night. It’s a surprise because he’s usually a resistant boy.”

Burnley
According to reports, Lukas Jutkiewicz appeared to pick up a knock in the 4-0 rout at Burnley before being replaced on 67 minutes.

Everton
Kevin Mirallas was stretchered off with a hamstring injury just half an hour into the weekend Merseyside derby. After the match, Roberto Martinez went on to day:

“It seems bad. It’s a hamstring. We’re going to assess him in the next 24 hours. Kevin has been in great form and we’ve got a lot of games coming up. It’s very unfortunate for us.”

Reports today, though, suggest Mirallas could be out for up to a month with the problem.

Man United
Ander Herrera limped out of United’s narrow win over West Ham after sustaining a back problem.

QPR
Sandro was forced off early during the first-half of the R’s defeat at St Mary’s after a clash of heads with Sadio Mane.

Southampton
Florin Gardos missed the weekend win over QPR with a slight calf strain, according to the club’s official Twitter feed.

Tottenham
Goalscorer Nacer Chadli and left-back Danny Rose both limped off with injuries during the north London derby, according to the Tottenham official match report.

West Brom
Baggies left-back Sebastian Pocognoli was subbed off in the latter stages of yesterday’s 4-0 win over Burnley through injury.

West Ham
Mark Noble missed out on the weekend defeat at Old Trafford after picking up a calf injury in training the day before.

Will you bring Downing as a Ramsey replacement if you have to bench one of this:

    Pelle Welbeck Lamela

Will definitely play Sterling Costa Siggy and Fabregas.

And if the answer is yes bring Downing who to bench..?
    Thanks

Ulloa is my favorite as it stands, Trigg. I totally agree with your analysis that it's a good one week placeholder until Sturridge / Lukaku / Welbeck in my case.

    Wildcard?

Begovic Chester Duff Clyne Hutton Wisdom Sigurdson Fabregas Chadli Sterling Marney Welbeck Costa Aguero

Struggling to field a team for next week with Chaldi and Chester as potential problems

    1. emperikal

Surely no need to WC. Chadli has a couple tough fixtures but has been tremendous value. Chester definitely needs to go though to perhaps Naylor? Otherwise squad looks good

I have just realised something terrible. It's my birthday next Monday and I'm meeting with all my family and friends on Sunday for lunch. This is my first year as a Chelsea season ticket holder and am going to miss the first big game.

This may just be a coincidence, but:

Mesut Ozil starts for Arsenal with Ramsey in the team:

    33 games, 7 goals, 11 assists

Mesut Ozil starts for Arsenal without Ramsey in the team:

For Rooney and Ramsey for a hit:

    A) Aguero and a mid up to 9.5
    B) Pelle and any mid in the game

Aguero or Sturridge(assuming both fit to play)?

Aguero can be a captain option but Studge isn't a rotation risk.

I agree, Sturridge isn't as explosive as Aguero can be. But need consistency and nailed on-ness more. Plus fixtures are good for Liverpool. I'll see what happens in the next couple of games. Cheers.

Aguero if prepared to take the hit (too early for Studge); from the straight swaps I like Falcao

    Rooney & Ramsey to:
    a) Pelle & ADM
    b) Falcao & Tadic
    c) Welbeck & ADM

    a) seems obvious but based a little on previous points
    b) would allow me to keep 3 'big hitters' up front, albeit Falcao's 0 touches in the box on Sat a concern! + Tadic explosion seems imminent!
    c) Got a feeling Welbeck going to be a better longer term pick than Pelle, but Pelle form seems pretty good at the moment

    any thoughts?
