The eagle-eyed amongst you may have spotted that our Injuries and Bans page has undergone some changes today.

Although these changes were assigned for the new site design, we’ve decided to roll out the new table prior to the redesign going live. We’re still working on optimisation on the new look, in the meantime, we wanted to switch and upgrade your injuries and bans “experience”.

The main difference from the user perspective is that we’ve added a percentage to the “Doubt” status. This percentage represents our estimate on the chance of the player being available for selection on the return date specified – so a player marked as a “Doubt 75” has, in our opinion, a stronger chance of making a return on the specified date than a player marked “Doubt 25”.

The big difference from an admin perspective is that the table is now fully data driven from our player database. This not only makes it far quicker and efficient to update, it also means we can develop new features with the injuries and bans data. A sidebar widget listing the ten latest status changes will be on its way for Members soon and we will also look to develop injury histories for all players, accessible via the player profiles in the members area.

We’ve got some catching up to do on our data but, by the morning, your injuries and bans table should be fully up to date and operational ready for the new season.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Any thoughts on the impact of 'the scout' providing tips to everyone via the fpl homepage each week?

Presumably the tips will reflect the views on this site and significantly increase the level of competition in mini-leagues.

I won a cash league of 70ish people last year full of people who did very little research so picked poor teams each week.

Already people in the league are saying they will wait till the scout picks come out on the 11th and probably end up with a competitive team similar to the bog standard rmt on here.

think it will make the pack tighter.... making smart differentials crucial

I had my eye on Helguson when it looked like Adel was leaving but now he is staying I am less interested. What is your view on QPR strikers?

DJ could be a punt depending on price. Can't see Helg getting in the team and don't fancy Bothroyd. (still haunted by memories of him at Blackburn) 🙂

I still can't believe DJ scored so many last year, it makes no sense to me, have absolutely no time for him as a footballer.

Wilshere should do well, but don't look for him to replace Fab. That honor will go to Ramsey.

I think I've got it! For now... any suggestions?
Was thinking Benayon for Downing, other than that, i'm pretty happy with my line up.

    Al Habsi (Given)
Kompany / Skrtle / Hughes (Rafael / Simpson)
Nani / Downing / Yaya Toure / Moses (Dyer)
    Bent / RVP / Holt

I would steer clear of any 'pool defense until they start showing signs of tightening up, esp as opening games are bad for them

early nani points may be uncertain

other than that I think its rather good

Barton , depending where he ends up.

slight risk with Malouda but with Sturrage suspended for first few he may well be the 3rd forward.

      otherwise..liking it

Hey Guys, Havnt seen much love for Nasri in the RMT's so far. Is this because his future at Arsenal is up in the air? He scored well last year when he wasnt injured.
