Our next Members article looking at the idea of “value” sees Forwards come under the microscope. With a fresh revision of players last weekend in light of factors such as transfers and pre-season tactics, we’ve tweaked the Projected totals to give you an up-to-date reflection on our thinking. While many of our top ten value forwards are lower-priced options that perhaps may be more suited to rotation, the kind opening prices afforded to the likes of Luis Suarez and Peter Odemwingie propels a couple of FPL big-hitters firmly into our thoughts.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Bobby Z is the obvious, Hughes a value option, Riise and interesting gamble.

Does Dempsey play very high up the feild? If so i think he is the more proven Points scorer

But Jol appears to be looking at two up front this season, which may see Dempsey pushed wide or deeper. You're right, he's got a great FPL points track record, but I see things working a bit differently under Jol.

              Still, all the best etc.

As others have said, if still at Newcastle avoid but, at Liverpool, a bargain and def in my team. Yes Konchesky was rubbish but whilst he was in the Liverpool team for the first half of the season he was a genuine bargain. He didn't deliver the points but that was more to do with how bad Liverpool were at that time, they are much better now.

    RMT please
    Given
    Cole Kompany Baines
    Taraabt Silva Nzogbia Moses
    Drogba RVP Holt
subs Foster Simpson Orr Ferguson Defence – Three quality players in FPL terms , all will score more BPs
this season judging by EA Actim statistics of last season.
Midfield – Expecting big things from Silva, Taraabt and Nzogbia.
Forwards – RVP is essential no matter what the fixtures. I fancy
Drogba to get the nod ahead of Torres in the first two games, and
Drogba had a great start to last season when things were going his way. I expect Torres to be in the against Norwich so I’ll do Drogs to
    Suarez GW3.

Trapped at the bottom last page

    Hi Guys,

I would appreciate so pointers on my team.

    Given – (Ruddy)
    Looks good for rotation

A.Cole – I am torn between Cole and Baines but I need Chelsea coverage
Hughes – Good starter, will get some assists, for a good price
    Kompany – Obvious reasons
O’Shea and Simpson – O’Shea will Play and be captained, Simpson is cheap and will play –**Advice welcome**

    Moses - Punt
Taarabt – The next C.Adam…etc etc
    Silva – Class player
    N’Zogbia - Obvious reasons
Dyer – I think Dyer is a decent sub who will play and good for rotation

Rooney – Class, can rotate with RVP
Ageuro – A punt as he is untested. But I don’t think I can go far wrong with the team he has behind him.
Rodallega – not everyone favourite player, but he is the striker against the 3 promoted clubs, there has to be goals.

I have 1 million left in the bank to either swap Rodallega of Odem when his games are more favourable, or change Silva to VDV or another top midfielder.

    What do you think?

Any thoughts on my team after changing quite a lot. I have made about a dozen versions by now. Focus is on City-Chelsea-Fulham because of the first fixtures:

    Hart (Ruddy)
    Terry-Luiz-Kompany-Hughes (Simpson)
    Silva-Malouda-Taraabt (Moses-Ferguson)
    Zamora-Rooney-Holt

The only 2 players I don't quite like are Ferguson and Holt but can't any players in the same price range.

    Any feedback would be appreciated!

If you don't like Ferg and Holt, cheapen your defense. Seriously, 4 guys that cost 5 or more is way too much, considering you should only be playing 3 each week. Double Chelsea defense is also not the greatest, unless you REALLY expect a lot of cleanies. Same with Hart and Kompany: way too expensive in back.

90%? do you mean in the next month, or at some point?

If Fabregas goes (likely) and Mata stays (looking increasingly likely too) there's no way Wenger is going to budge on Nasri. He seems content to let the £20 mil go sailing by, for once.

I'd expect him to be there at some point, but not sure it'll be in this window, unless Nasri really stomps his feet, which seems a little needless.

Modric will probably happen as Spurs are, despite what they say, a selling club. Nasri probably won't happen due to Wenger being a stubborn old git and even us fans telling him to sell if he gets 20M. ...and Wes is unlikely to move back to Utd so soon after moving to Sunderland! 😉

yeah pretty much, just predictions anyway. i'm trying to second guess AVB regarding ramires. if he rates him there's really no immediate need for modric. although saying that with essien out they're one injury away from mceachran then another off having to patch up the midfield with an out of position prospect like benayoun, malouda or luiz

in fact allowing zhirkov to leave could be a hint modric is coming, for both funds and the fact that zhirkov is cover for the middle three

Alex Ferguson's post-match interview with a French TV reporter this evening can be viewed here:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1djL1aOb4E

While his comments on Sneijder seem fairly non-committal, it's possible that Ferguson misunderstood - or chose to misunderstand - the question about Berbatov posed by the French reporter in her faltering English.

Q: "Could Berbatov play with Paris?"
    A: "Yes, absolutely, no problem."

      -Nasri---------------Silva-

Bent for me. Villa's fixtures are kinder and L'pool (my team) seem out of sorts at the mo.

Bromeo's. Looking for a little advice here. What's the best midfielder I can get for 6.0? Jarvis? Barton? O'Hara?

    Current line up;

    Given (Ruddy)
    Hughes - Kompany - Enrique - A. Cole (Simpson)
    Etherington - VDV - Brunt - ? (Tiote)
    Rooney - RVP - K Davies

I plan on running a 3-4-3, I did have Suarez and used the funds for N'Zogbia, but I can't pass up RVP and Rooney together... any input?

Have I missed something? Best first 3 home fixtures you could ask for surely. Is he injured?

I really like this but what about Chelsea? Id they weren't in the prem then I'd probably go with with what you've suggested but, unfortunately, they are.

I'm a Blues fan but with the rotation risk and fatty likely to play deeper this year I'm not seeing any value unless we don't buy Modric and then Benayoun becomes a must have.

Not sure Valencia will play every week with Young/Nani etc so risky

Point taken but SAF clearly loves him given how he immediately ousted Nani when he came back towards the end of last year. I think he could be massively under-priced.

Valencia was used more because Lord Ferg trusts him more in big games and his return coincided with Nani's dip in form. In the long run, the pair will be rotated.

All the big guns out tonight!
On that basis do you think that Nani is more likely to play against the weaker teams where his lack of tracking back is less likely to be exposed?
