Our Suspension Tightrope only kicked back into action last week but we’ve already seen a couple of players topple off after Gameweek 7 came to an end. Both Calum Chambers and Jonjo Shelvey went into the weekend with four yellows accrued and the pair were culpable yet again, earning their fifth domestic cautions to automatically trigger a one-match ban.

In an ill-tempered affair at Stamford Bridge, Chambers was a little fortunate not to receive his marching orders after Martin Atkinson chose not to dish out a second yellow for a foul on Andre Schurrle. Indeed, although the whistler booked seven players in the 2-0 win, the likes of Laurent Koscielny, Gary Cahill and Danny Welbeck were also shown a little leniency, and received a caution when a dismissal could just as easily have been the outcome. Welbeck owners will particularly be relieved after his wild lunge on Cesc Fabregas was only deemed worthy of a yellow.

Chambers – who has now been booked six times in just eight appearances for the Gunners – misses the Gameweek 8 home encounter against Hull but will return in time for the following week’s trip to Sunderland.

Shelvey will skip the Swans’ trip to Stoke next time around before coming back into contention for the Gameweek 9 home clash against Leicester. Team-mate Angel Rangel is available now, though, after serving his own one-match suspension against Newcastle on Saturday afternoon.

The duo join Wayne Rooney on the sidelines, then, as the United skipper serves the second of a three-match suspension away to West Brom. Rooney also misses a home match with Chelsea before being available in time for the Gameweek 10 Manchester derby at the Etihad.

Back to the Tightrope and Chambers’ team-mate Jack Wilshere is now the only player currently sitting with four cautions to his name. Just below him, though, are band of 10 players which include a trio of big-hitting Fantasy prospects, in the form of Diego Costa, Yaya Toure and Graziano Pelle.

    This is my back 5
    Ivan / Moore / Wisdom / PVA // Chambers(sus)
    Only one I feel comfortable playing next week is Ivanovic

    Question: What would you do with these back 5 and 2 FTs

    A) PVA & Chambers -> Alderweireld & Dummett
    B) PVA & Chambers -> Wilson & another 4.5 defender
    C) PVA & Chambers -> Muniesa & Naylor
    D) PVA -> ???, save one FT and play one out of Wisdom/Moore

    Thank you very much.

        Tadic is my first name in front 8 to go out. I'll give him one more game to prove me wrong. I won't change front 8 this week unless some injury happen.

    Who should be the priority for this team, Aguero or Baines?

    Any ideas on how to fit them both in?

    Krul / Mannone
    Ivanovic / Bertrand / Moore / Wilson / Taylor
    Boyd / Sigurdsson / ADM / Sterling / Fábregas
    Balotelli / Ulloa / Diego Costa

    2 FT 1.9M in the bank

    A) Naylor ----> Wisdom
    B) Ulloa ------> Naismith
    C) Ivanovic ---> Baines, Ulloa ----> Sakho (-4)
    D) Downgrade Fabregas
    E) Krul ----> 4m gk

    WC active, and trying to generate funds to bring in Baines. What's the least painful downgrade to my midfield, which is currently Fab/Siggy/ADM/Sterling/Boyd?

    A: Sterling > Hendo
    B: Fab > Chadli

    B. Baines Henderson Boyd Aguero Naismith

    Krul Elliott
    Ivanovic Hutton Duff Clyne X
    Fabregas ADM Siggy X X
    Costa X X

    A appears better but would have a big one benched each week
    B means I got to play one of Naismith Boyd Hutton or Duff each week

    Thanks for your time!!

    Long post alert...Somebody asked earlier today why Costa doesn't get more BAPS...here's why..

    The much ignored Bonus points system scores for each position...(top six for each outfield position)

    Ivan 181
    Azpi 175
    Baines 163
    Williams 158
    Bertrand 152
    Robertson 148

    Fab 198
    Haz 181
    Siggy 178
    Henderson 175
    ADM 169
    Gerrard 167

    Costa 238
    Aguero 160
    Naismith 157
    Ulloa 142
    Berahino 141
    Pelle 136

    Despite Costa being far and away the highest Bonus points system scorer he is unfortunate that he shares his bonus potential with four other great BAPS pick from the same team...so the BAPS are thinly spread....

    Long post over...

      Gerrard continues under my nose. Shurrle if Ivan doesn't keep up the scoring, Azpi will outdo his baps from there on, no? Azpi has also netted more BAPS when neither had CS, goals or assists.
      Hmm.

    Hello lads - simple q:
    Terry to Baines FT
    Yes or Noes?
    (I got Fabs and Costa and dont have any other Everton cover)

    So, how do I get Baines in?

    Schmeichel - McCarthy

    Rafael - Clyne - Taylor - Duff - Moore

    ADM - Fabregas - Sterling - Siggy - Boyd

    Costa - Aguero - Pelle

    £0.6m ITB, 2 FT

    Rafael the obvious one to replace...but who do I downgrade?

      Perhaps downgrading one of Fabs/Sterling to the likes of Chadli/Mane/etc and upgrading Rafa

      Similar to dilemma to mine (see post above) - I think the best options are Sterling > Hendo, or Fab > Chadli/Downing. As Fab is the least explosive, perhaps shipping him out the best move?

      personally i'd wait for ag/costa to be injured during the international break..

      Pelle>Welbeck...Clyne>Chambers...Rafa>Baines over a couple of weeks...is the only way I can see without losing too much potential...

      An alternative way i can get Baines without losing Fab or touching my power front 7
      Just a thought seems a bit silly but a -4 and still having Fab seems quite attractive
      Bego Moreno Clyne> Guzan Wisdom Baines
      Would leave me a defense of
      Guzan, Baines Bertrand (Wisdom/Hutton/Moore rotating
      After typing this and reading it dont feel worth it but will post anyway , thoughts ?

        For the -4 at the back, tough.
        Good moves no doubt though.

        Double gameweeka towards the end of the season (depending on the teams involved) or if you're carrying too much junk for a couple of small hits to resolve.

      I have 1 FT & 2.8 in the not enough to get Aguero fund.

      Do I go Chester or Vergini to Baines? Or sort out somewhere else*? Or keep FT?
      Cheers in advance.

      Ivan Clyne Naylor Chester Vergini

        I'd do Chester to Baines (Im doing the same exact transfer) and keep Ulloa for newcastle, his fixtures are still good

          With Baines and Ivanovic could always go 4-4-2 as an experiment, those two playing like wingers anyway. Would be 2-6-2 with CS possibilities.

            indeed. You're not gonna be playing Naylor too often in the future anyway so should still be 343 most weeks

              Was actually tempted to cash in Naylor for Baines and bank the 0.1m.

              Clyne, Baines, Ivanovic, Vergini then do Chester -> 4m some other time.

              Error.

              The app doesn't show the actual transfer value on the transfer page like the desktop. It shows the current value. Don't think I'm banking anything on Naylor.

              Wish they would sort that out on the app.

      Can I please get an opinion or 2 on mid-long term:

      A) Guzan & Wisdom
      B) Mannone & Hutton

      Non-playing 4.0 2nd keeper.

      Also

      Best cheap 3rd striker? Currently on Sakho but haven't seen much of him (or West Ham) so not knowledgeable on whether he's a good short-medium term punt?

        Letra A

        Wouldn't call it a punt if he's delivered three weeks in a row already. Not too risky w/ an in form WHM side. Berahinho. Fletcher, Cisse, even Crouch all good picks.
