After scaling the heights of fifth place in their first season under Roberto Martinez, Everton have so far failed to find their form. The Toffees sit in seventeenth spot – just two points off the basement – but are poised for an excellent upcoming schedule which many expect will enable them to quickly climb back up the table.

Understandably, Fantasy managers are eyeing up Leighton Baines ahead of a run which pits the Merseysiders against just three of last season’s top eight in the forthcoming 13 Gameweeks. Given that the Toffees have managed just a single clean sheet so far, though, defensive returns may be hard to come by unless they can tighten up considerably.

With team-mate Seamus Coleman looking poised for an imminent return to action, we analyse the pair’s displays so far and compare them to the performances which harvested 169 and 180 points respectively in the 2013/14 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

If on WC, would you get:

    A Guzan & Given
B Guzan & Elliot (might play due to Krul injury)

    Morning fellas!
Come the end of the season, would I be silly to think Sterling and Baines will be on similar points?

Really reluctant to lose Fab, ADM or Pelle. Sterling > Baines is my current thought process, if I do it at all. 2FT so seems a waste not using it. Although Sterling vs QPR is a nice thought.

Sanchez when you consider the fixtures. You would think he's not in form but he's got something like 5 goals and 3 assists in all competitions hasn't he? On pretty much all set pieces too

Cheers gents. A bit of a split decision.

Maybe it is because I am bitter about having not owned him but I can't help but think ADM has had a bit of fortune along the way and his point scoring will dip over the coming weeks, particularly given the change in fixtures.

            Here's my team:

            Forster (McCarthy)
            Moreno - Clyne - Duff (Wisdom-Moore)
Siggy - Fab - Sterling - Sneiderlin (Boyd)
            Falcao - Aguero - Costa

            2 FTs, 0.3 ITB

I'll probably swap out Falcao next week and get Baines in, but not sure if I need to do much this week. Any thoughts?

            1. Mr Pink
              • 12 Years
              11 years, 1 month ago

Not really, no. You could go with the herd and go Falcao & Wisdom > Welbeck & Baines.

I'll probably get rid of Moreno soon myself, but the next few fixtures look too good to ship him now. Wisdom's place might be under threat after Gamboa's performance last week. You could replace him with Hutton just in case, but it is hardly the most exciting move, and it will cost you 0.1...

    Begovic/Mannone
Lovren - Clyne - Caulker (Wisdom - Davies)
Siggy - Di Maria - Sterling - Chadli (Wanyama)
    Aguero - Costa - Ulloa

    1FT

    Bego (McCarthy)
    Baines, Moreno, Bertrand (Wilson, Duff)
    ADM, Siggy, Sterling (Rambo, Cork)
    Costa, Ulloa, Pelle

Couple of options up my sleave this week with 2 FT and 2.8ITB

Rambo is definately gone this week. So it leaves the big choice being the FWD transfer.

    A) Rambo & Pelle > Chadli or Mane & Aguero
    B) Rambo & Ulloa > Haz (or potentially Fab or Oscar) & Welbz provided they are fit

Pelle still has good fixtures but would trading him to get Aguero be on the money?

Next GW will probably be Ulloa > Zakho if I don't do the B transfer.

    Thoughts?

2FT, nothing to use them on.

is Fab > Haz a clever move? Or any other punts worth a shot?

Thinking i might get kaboul over chambers. 2-3 pts more per clean sheet due to increased chance of bonus and chambers yellow card.

    Thoughts?
