However, Wisdom is turning out to be a sound cheapie, like Dummett.I have settled on a WBA defender to replace Caulker as it leaves me enough cash to do Chadli to Walcott when the time comes

What are peoples opinions of using your wildcard to just mimic the #1 overall ranked player's team?
So it's essentially, whoever is currently #1 is most likely there due to having a good consistent team, get those players make sure you use your following transfers wisely and if the leader is still near the top in the next 10 weeks, you'll also most likely have done well during that period.
Obvious pitfalls =
you need to make sure you don't get left behind with the leader making transfers that score big and you didn't predict what they were going to do.
Choosing the wrong captain for that week.
The leader tumbling down the ranks and so you also doing the same as the players that served so well up to now just fall apart.chasing points isn't how you win
I'd like to see the FPL stats on the #1 overall winner at the end of the season not already being in the top 10k by the say 5th week. If you aren't up there already, I don't think you're likely to win anyway
It becomes a war of attrition, the person likely to win will probably already be in the top 10k, but you have to pick the right one to copy - and additionally this wont gain you any ground on them.
The person currently at the top is unlikely to be there come the end.

Average for top 10k is 48 and only 26.5% of those 10k have played their captain. Looks like I might be dropping out of the top10k when all those VCs start getting played. Only 7% captained Aguero mind in the top 10k.

Difficult to understand why Sakho's ownership is still so low. I'm guessing a lot of people have Welbz as their 3rd choice striker. If you compare their stats though, Sakho is miles clear.
If you have a cheap 3rd striker he's clearly the best option. I think most people have moved towards having 3 "big team" strikers though.
A lot of people have probably grown tired of chasing the points with 3rd strikers, like me: Bojan>Naismith>Ulloa...and have finally settled for Welbeck instead.Fair comment. I can't bring myself to have 3 big strikers when there are some nice budget options available.

It's about fashionable teams. If a player doesn't play for a top 7 team then it doesn't matter what their stats are like, they won't think it's a good choice.
Arsenal have good fixtures and are more likely to score every weekend. West Ham are unpredictable.
However, I'm Iiking Ulloa to Sakho more and more every day.
I'm wrestling with a dilemma:
A) Lovren>Baines (3.7itb)
B) Welbeck>Aguero (0.2itb)
- Lovren needs to go after 8 weeks of only 1 CS. Baines has awesome fixtures and is on form.
- Aguero is in awesome form, but not guaranteed to start every game especially since fixtures are easy enough for him to be rested with Jovetic fit again.
- Meanwhile, Welbeck is playing well and faces a Sunderland who just conceded 8.
Seems a bit silly to do B right now, unless I sacrificed Costa for a couple of weeks - which I'm not a fan of given that he should be fit against United's poor defense.
Is A the best option?
