What a difference a week makes. Just seven days ago to the minute, we were right here totting up points from Sergio Aguero’s four-goal haul against Spurs. Today many Fantasy managers are left gazing on the Argentine’s two-point total at West Ham and regretting transfers and their armband decision. It’s now left to Saturday’s remaining fixtures to sweeten such a bitter pill.

Raheem Sterling will carry the can for some as Liverpool host a Hull City side nursing a lengthy injury list. Meanwhile, down on the south coast, Ronald Koeman’s revolutionsied Saints look to continue their climb up the table as they take on Stoke – Graziano Pelle and Dusan Tadic the headline acts on show.

Arsenal’s trip to Sunderland and West Brom’s Hawthorns meet with Crystal Palace will see some Fantasy managers relying on output from Danny Welbeck and Saido Berahino. Finally, in today’s tea-time kick-off, it may well fall to Gylfi Sigurdsson to save many a Gameweek total as the Swans host Leicester City.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Terry to 5.3 defender to fund Sterling to Sanchez.

    a)Chambers
    b)Rose
c)Moore to give me extra funds to upgrade Siggy in due course.

I have Clyne and, although I wish I had doubled up a while ago, it looks a bit late given the turn in fixtures.

Sanchez, 4 shots, 2 of them inside the box & he managed to create 1 chance.
Sterling, 4 shots, 2 of them inside the box & he managed to create 2 chances.

Probably best to sell Sterling due to his poor performance today, right?

That's just it... I don't *really* care about the results.

If two players are effectively putting up similar stats & one's significantly cheaper than the other then should be no rush to buy the more expensive one just because he happened to score this week, right?

Sterling will surely be getting another week for me, but I am concerned. Less with him and more with Liverpool as a whole until Sturridge gets back. Not that Arsenal have looked a lot better, but I feel like they have the potential to be much better.

Sterling's scored 26 points in the past 5 weeks.
Sanchez has 33 over the same stretch...

Now, I'm this isn't to say we shouldn't to buy Sanchez, he's pure class.

Although, to sell Sterling b/c you think he's somehow underperforming is just silly.

Not a fair comparison, Sanchez has only started 3 times. Unless you think Sanchez is more likely to be rotated than Sterling? I reckon it's probably about even...

But over each players last 5 starts Sanchez has 5 goals and an assist, Sterling has 1 goal and 2 assists.

Well, we can agree that *playing* is a key to fantasy success, right?

Being a 10mil+ player & suffering from rotation wasn't exactly a bonus for Sanchez earlier in the year.

So, I'm not looking for a *fight* or an *argument* here... the stats say at over the course of this year Sterling & Sanchez have produced a similar amount of shots & chances created.

As a result, we shouldn't be swayed towards one or the other just because, they happened to be the most recent one to net a goal.

Note: I'm all for Sanchez & am looking at buying him this week. I'm just not *auto* ditching Sterling because he didn't score & Sanchez did.

Fair enough. I just think it's a disingenuous comparison to say "Look at the last 5 gameweeks," when Sanchez had only started 3 of the last 5.

The measure of a player is a factor which shouldn't be ignored.

Sanchez is far better than Sterling, I don't think many would dispute that.

I think Hazard is the player who will do the business next week however.

        Sanchez is brilliant!

Although, as an opening week Sterling owner, they're about 2mil different in price so, that goes a long way to assesing their fantasy worth too... right?

Note: I want to be completely clear... Sanchez is great but, his 2 goals this week don't somehow take away from Sterling's exceptional season thus far.

16 from 4 including captain. Average I think.

H2H rival has 30 from 6, captain is Costa, vice captain is Sanchez.

Need a Newcastle goal and either Sigurdsson, Baines or Chadli to bring in a haul in order to overtake him.

Frustrated me the whole time. Had to good step ups to Cazorla in the closing minutes and both times Cazorla basted them 50 feet above the bar.

I thought he was okay. Blazed one over the bar, had a header come close and was in some threatening positions. And set up some Cazorla moon shots like KML said. Certainly not spectacular but I'm willing to keep for Burnley.

I'd love to do Sterling to Sanchez but my defence next week is a mess

I have to play one of

    Caulker (che)
    Naylor (eve)
    Duff (ars)

I think Southampton have the 4th best defensive stats in Europe.

Your right. Could have had a couple assist if Cazorla was any good. But besides that played terrible.
