      Hmmm....

      I had it on Pelle.

I thought United looked good v WBA & Chelsea.

City less so v wham (where drinks are free)

Keeper out, couple of defenders out ?

          I take your point though.

Welbeck has best fixture (and home) but... It's Webeck 🙄

          Can't be trusted.

For this weekend (great fixtures for Chelsea and Arsenal, what do you think to...

    Di Maria > Hazard
    Sterling > Ramsey

I have 2 free transfers this week. I'm in a cash league, currently second.

It would give me 3 Chelsea (Costa and Ivan) and 2 Arsenal (including Welbz)

    Good call?

AdM to Hazard is a very risky transfer... also, if you bought di Maria early, loss of value

Everton - leaky (statistically one of the worst defences in the league)
      Arsenal - leaky

    A. Siggy ----> Chadli (I can sell Siggy for 6.4)

Hold Sigurdsson, he isn't injured and is a fine fine pick.

Haha, that's certainly tempting! If you're confident in Sanchez then I'd do it. The only thing would be to check how your defenders rotate going forward. It's potentially pretty threadbare and having 3 sub 4.5m defenders could be quite limiting in terms of future transfers (hard to replace them)

He wasn't even in the squad though. If he was close to a return surely he'd be fit for the bench.

I really really don't think you need to double up on Everton's defence like that. Coleman is overpriced and Everton are leaking goals. Otherwise it looks pretty decent. I also think Bertrand is the one to have from Southampton (check the comparison tool).

        Thanks.

I've had clyne since gw1 so with the price difference I'd favour him over Bertrand.

I do think Coleman is attacking enough to justify his price but if I really wanted a certain midfielder or attacker I would be open to downgrading.

3 cleanies in a row for Everton (inc Europa) and beginning to look a little tighter at the back. Can't go wrong for the price. Could be short term though due to potential injuries or form.

He scored one flukey scuffed shot v Burnley and did bugger all else till he was hauled off. At fault for the Burnley goal his inability to hold the ball up in any way hampers the team too much. Eto in comparison was superb. It's hard to second guess Martinez but I hope Eto replaces Lukaku in the prem.

Downing ➡ Barkley for free? Not quite convinced FPL wise with downing despite his transformation. Any other suggestions appreciated- not many other options in the mid price bracket I can think of.

Pretty sure bar any injuries this week I'm doing. Lescott to Chambers and Pelle to Costa...for a hit.

Don't like hits but i will captain Costa. Not sure if he'll play though as I the phrase 'ongoing rehabilitation' is suspect.

As a perennial slow starter, I now find myself in the strange position of being top of my mini leagues at the end of the first quarter. The difficulty here is not continuing to place reliance on the players that have got me here but still trying to look forward at who the best upcoming options are (as I would normally do when chasing each year).

Easy to say but the only player in my forward line I am thinking of shifting would be Sig, but without taking a hit, the options are pretty limited for 7.7 or below. I'm thinking of doing Cahill > Baines next week, in 5 years of playing this game I've never owned him so quite excited by the prospect.

How do other FPL players deal with being top of their mini leagues early in the season, does it afffect your judgement when buying / selling? (i.e. averse to taking hits etc).

Being on top allows me to play my own game and pick all the players I want and be a little bit relaxer about hits. Being a chaser makes me want to chose (some) differentials.

Currently have this team, and 2 FTs which are tickling my balls to make a risky move:

    Forster // 4.0
    Bertrand // Naylor // PVA // Wisdom // Hutton
Di Maria // Fábregas // Sterling // Sigurdsson // Marney
    Agüero // Costa // Welbeck

    1.1 ITB

I'm considering doing the following moves:

    • Sterling > Sánchez
    • Di Maria > Hazard
    • PVA > 4.0

    -4

    Giving me:

    Forster // 4.0
    Bertrand // Naylor // Hutton // Wisdom // 4.0
    Sánchez // Hazard // Fábregas // Sigurdsson // Marney
    Agüero // Costa // Welbeck

    Thoughts?

I have already transferred out Sterling for Sanchez and thinking about ADM out for Hazard but to fair I haven't any Chelsea players

you can totally avoid Di Maria --> Hazard because that you will have Fab, Haz, and Costa...and there is a possibility that QPR might win 1-0...Sterling --> Sanchez is good but I would keep Sterling as well...I think you just need to do PvA --> someone..and carry that 1 FT next week

Longterm I actually favour Hazard over ADM. Yes Hazard has the advantage this gameweek, but then next week Di Maria has Palace at home while Chelsea have a tough match.

I feel like i should stop posting my team on here..

I have my own reasons for selecting players, and others have theirs... When I post a team on here, inevitably I get the advice to make it as generic as possible.

    Anyone else get this feeling?!

Better stick to asking specific questions about one or two players methinks.

I tend to ask a range of questions including different framing of the same question to see what ideas and viewpoints it throws up. Some times I post my team sometimes I don't.

9 times out of 10 I do what I intended to do anyway and sometimes like this week I need to act early on price so don't get many opinions anyway.

The other time a new idea will be raised or someone will help me see a player differently. Here is the value of posting on this forum.

Sometimes its impt to see the whole team to decide whether that transfer is the best or not. U might even miss out possible options which might be better. For eg..a how to get in costa qns could result in "saving ft is the best" if u show ur whole team.
