Monitor – Raheem Sterling

The season could barely have started brighter for Raheem Sterling after the youngster grabbed two goals and an assist in the opening three Gameweeks for Liverpool. With Daniel Sturridge sidelined ever since, however, Sterling has struggled to replicate his early form, scoring just once and earning a pair of assists in the subsequent six Gameweeks.

Despite a weekend showdown against Newcastle on his agenda, Sterling is the most sold player in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, with over 65,000 owners parting company in order to acquire the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Dusan Tadic and Cesc Fabregas.

In our second members article of the week, we take a look at his displays with and without Sturridge on the park in order to ascertain just why he’s failed to deliver.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

So future footballers will be two footed robots according to this...

Only truly two footed prem league players I can think of are cazorla and lallana

it still amazes me how two footed Cazorla is, never seen anything like it. He actually picks a different one every time he takes set pieces

agree. He should be doing more for his talents. Lallana took both pens in the recent shoot out with his right foot.

It's amazing how many more aren't to be honest at that level. I suppose dominance takes over and you just want to do your best. I'm right footed but I've played left back most of my life cos our other full-backs left foot is chronic lol Now I'm pretty comfortable on it, and will turn out onto it and shoot with it even if I have time to put it onto my right.

Lol I think left-footed players were in fairly short supply at our club at the time. That being said, they still wouldn't make the team unless they were good enough.

Davis could face a bit of rotation risk but he should score the most points among those 3. Still, Boyd offers the better value. and Obertan could surprise. I'd go Boyd though

cheers mate. think im going w Oberta. sure, boyd is the obvious 90 min nailed. but that team cant score, only 5 goals. and news last 4 won 3 and in firm.
Obertan was very good bak in france, thinking its him + sisoko and that 3rd spot btn cabella and gouffran and even amoebi.
                upfront cisse/riviere.
risk is rotation but thinking bertan can get his 60-70 min p/ game.
                cabella is very talented also.

I like what I see in Yun he looks very good on the ball and from the two games I saw him play I was impressed.

I'm thinking of going there myself.

He was highly praised by Harry Redknapp and Gary Neville after the Villa game. If I think who his competition is you'd think Clint Hill or A.Traore I'd say he ahead of both not sure about Onouha but he's injured at the mo.

Yeah i don't see Mata starting. If it's one striker, then RvP will be dropped too.

How will we line up then? Simple Mata for Rooney swap? And what about Herrera?

Depends if it's one upfront or not. No idea tbh, but Herrera more chance of starting in a diamond i would think

Fancied the goal rush in that one myself I'd backed Chelsea GR+. Theyve been quite attacking and conceding a few to go with it.

As bad is it sounds i would tell our players to kick Aguero ALOT until he got injured, If him and Silva are out we have a chance.

I think most professionals would find it hard to intentionally injure a player. Van Gaal would lose a few players respect if he told them to do that

2-3, but will be an open game (if united unlucky and Aguero can play 60+ mins then any score with 6-8 goals are possible)

Aguero with a double before he is subbed off. Rooney volley, ADM free kick and Fella on the head.

I have bet £10 on this with 1/128 odds on http://www.crazybets.com!

He requires surgery to fully recover from his injury, but Mourinho seems happy enough to wait and manage a 75% fit Diego Costa.
