A number of midfielders are amongst this eveningโ€™s members piece, as we take a look the in-form options at Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham. We also cast an eye over Diego Costaโ€™s recent form, assess Sergio Agueroโ€™s displays compared to recent campaigns and take time to assess QPRโ€™s in-form frontman after another impressive showing in yesterdayโ€™s narrow defeat at the Bridge.

Hiya lads, not got off to a great start this season but i have to be happy with moving from 918, 309 to 467, 477 in just this gameweek don't i?

Is it realistic that i can still do well? like top 20k by end of the season?

    Team for next week is:

    Krul
    Chambers - Bertrand - Wisdom
    Eriksen - Fabragas - Hazard (v) - Sanchez
    Aguero (c) - Costa - Sakho

Yeah i think i have to really against Stoke at home, and i did watch the game today and had absolutely no idea why he didn't play second half, i expect him to start though next game, if he blanks or doesn't feature much i'll be shipping for Downing. He could of easily got something second half if he'd stayed on i reckon as well, and he would of had an assist if Adebayor could finish a 1 v 1 ๐Ÿ™‚

See a lot of people getting rid of Sigurdsson. Isn't it a bit harsh? 1 goal, 7 assists from 10 games from a player under 7M is a good return. Yes, there are other options but is Downing a better player? For me, no. He just has better fixtures.

    1. Twisted Saltergater

Siggy isn't actaully shooting in recent matches... it is really clear in the member's area. And tactically, Downing is the better fantasy football player at the moment.

A switch to Bony in a couple of weeks should cover the Palace and QPR home games ๐Ÿ˜‰

Im looking to get rid, but only to bring in Sanchez. Otherwise I wouldn't think about it for the reasons you mentioned. To be fair, Sterling will have a better run of fixtures after this week too for what its worth.

Gone top of my ML and am fine tuning my squad. I have a midfield 4 of Downing, Hazard, Fabregas and Sanchez and they can all assist/score but perhaps Fabregas isn't as explosive as the others (allowing for Downing's value).

Walcott is clearly high on my watchlist but I think it won't be until after the international break that he starts regularly. Would you consider bringing in Di Maria for Fabregas for free or wait for Walcott?

    Cheers!

      • 12 Years

The international break comes at a great time for Walcott to get some more time to train and find his feet. That said, he's still a big question mark to me even though he looked GREAT in his cameo against Burnley. If you can do Fab to AdM for free this week though, I'd make that swap, as I think he's a far better option and could easily have a double digit game against Palace this weekend. Sort out what to do about Wally later when you actually want him.

Hey Walshy, yeah it feels a bit of a luxury transfer but every man and his dog has Fabregas now and I'm thinking Di Maria should match or better his returns while freeing up a Chelsea spot in my squad.

Great use of the Costa funds bringing in Hazard and Alexis TS.....i would certainly consider bringing in ADM for cesc and spreading the big hitter 'cover' Cesc's fixtures better tho i reckon, high risk however does equal high reward in these sorta decisions.

Thanks. Despite taking hits to bring them in and I don't think I was ever too worried because of the goal threat they have. Sterling is struggling at the moment but he's right up there too and I think the Newcastle game was the only "behind the sofa" moment.

Losing Fabregas is a different kettle of fish. I've made 0.4m if I see and as a result can't see me buying him back so it is quite a permanent move. Thankfully, there's Walcott, Di Maria and Oscar who I think have a good chance of matching his scoring.

Absolutely. I'd say he's playing a little sharper than Hazard at the moment, and more clinical in his finishing. Wenger has even switched to a 442 to allow him to play through the middle - wish I'd know that before the weekend... I'd have captained him in a heartbeat!

Thanks for that. Yeah, I have Hazard as well. I havnt been convinced by him (even after 10 this week) by the potential for explosive points has kept him in my team all season.

Will go for Sanchez then by the sounds of things. Ive already missed out with the price rise and points this week. Got dominated in my ML because of him being made captain.

Would love to get Sanchez in, but don't know what to do. Any help?

    My team:

    Krul
    Clyne, Chambers, Dummett
    ADM, Fabregas, Sterling, Tadic
    Costa, Aguero, Welbeck

    B: Myhill, Obertan, Alcaraz, Duff

Two FT's and 0.3m in the bank.

The way I see it, I have two options:

    1) ADM/Fabregas, Sterling -> Chadli, Sanchez
    2) Costa, Sterling -> Pelle, Sanchez

Which one? Or am I missing something?

Much better post, this, than the one on the last page ๐Ÿ™‚

I'd rather lose Tadic or Fab to fund it. Could do 1 with Fab out or maybe Tadic out to Downing may be enough?

Thanks. ๐Ÿ˜€ Well Tadic out to Downing would do it actually. Would left me 0.0m in the bank.

Is that the way to go? Is Downing really to be trusted?

I've had Downing for three GW running now, so maybe a poor adviser on this point, but he's looked great to me, Hammers attack has looked great, they have a great run of fixtures, and his stats are great. I think he's a good choice. I'd opt that route then, mate, Tadic to Downing to fund it. Just keep an eye on Downing's price as he will rise at some point.

Well, that move would left me 5.4 in the bank for striker. So someone like Naismith or Weimann at best...

Hmm, for a -4 hit I could do Alcaraz -> Yun and get Sakho in for Welbeck. How about that?

Eriksen needs to go, Sanchez needs to come in.

    Forster
    Baines Clyne Chambers
    Hazard Fabregas Eriksen Sigurdsson
    Aguero Pelle Welbeck

    Felipe Luis Moore Albrighton

    A) Eriksen Welbeck -> Sanchez Sakho
    B) Eriksen Felipe Luis -> Sanchez Steven Taylor

    Welbeck seems very droppable, yes?
