There was just a wafer-thin point separating myself and Granville in Gameweek 11, despite my rivals decision to ignore the force of nature that is Alexis Sanchez.

In a svelte but packed episode of the ScoutCast, my co-host and I discuss the Chilean’s “essential” charms and pile praise on the reborn Stewart Downing and the new, reliable Leighton Baines v2.

Around the usual regulars, we drop in on some old favourites, as Aleks Kolarov discovers new methods of running Granville’s Gameweek and I somehow manufacture a way of snuggling under the Van Persie duvet. We also carry on nudging the Harry Kane-wagon, run our teams through the Gargatron computer and go on “Warnock Watch” once more.

Squeeze into this episode out via this link or sample its tautness via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    On WC at the minute - Sakho & Aguero are two of my forwards.
    Just deciding whether to go for Costa? The thing is are there that many viable forward options?

    I mean the only forward I can potentially see myself replacing him with is Pelle, and I get the feeling I've missed the boat on that one.

      Costa's upside is surely the highest. If I was wildcarding I think my front line would be Aguero/Costa/Pelle with an eye of swapping one to Bony in a couple weeks. It's a tough one, but I guess I'd rather have Pelle because his fixture this week is easier and who knows what the heck will happen with Costa after the international break?

        Can't go Pelle/kun/costa as I want ADM + Sanchez so don't have the funds. Temped by Pelle, but will be very difficult to get costa back in if he does go off on one

    Which of those combos would you rather have:

    A. Clyne + ADM + Welbeck

    B. Yun + Siggy + Aguero

    ?

      B

      ... The Saint will soon have difficult fixtures.
      ... Aguero is captain material.
      ... Siggy will have good fixtures soon.

      I'd actually say A

      No its a bad transfer. Get baines s if you want to go big and if you already have him both baines and ivan is a bad idea considering how good the attacking premium players are

    Asked this earlier. Would like more opinions. Trying to get Di maria and Sanchez over the two weeks

    A) Di maria now and Sanchez at around 10.9 after the break

    B) sanchez now at 10.6 and Di maria after the break

    1. SC not pearls before swine
      • 15 Years

      Guess I'd lean toward B. Di Maria's fixture is better this week but with Sanchez's overall goal threat being a lot higher I'd say Sanchez/Di Maria are about even bets this week in terms of points. I wouldn't sell Di Maria for Sanchez, but if I wanted to buy both I'd get Sanchez first.

      Hazard for Sanchez or Siggy for Downing would be the point chasing options. If you believe in Siggy and Haz, you could swap Marney to Boyd.

      Not for me personally Valar, Azpi hauls in those bonus points at a moments notice.
      Though Ivan has some clear cut chances his last few games, I don't think it warrants the 1.3 extra.
      Especially if it's at the expense of a premium mid

      Yup. WR put it perfectly on the previous page. Not only has je got 60 mins or less which itself is too less a time to get a huge return to really make the transfer a success bit failure will result in instant removal from the team

            Yeah you're probably right. Getting Oscar instead will avoid the whole Kane trouble too. I'd still have:

            Baines
            Di Maria - Sanchez - Oscar
            Costa - Aguero

            as the core.

          Agreed with above. Also considering Ade was rested completly tonight I'd say he will definitly start again. Kane would play as attacking midfielder / in the hole at best. And that would mean one of the 3 regular mids dropping out. Kane will definitly not be getting regular 70+ mins unles there are injuries. He is young and doing well in the Europa league. but more difficult to do the same over a full game in the PL, then being introduced as a super sub.

      Yeah. Sterling appears to be nothing without Sturridge. Get rid.

        I actually meant to refer to Eriksen. He could lose his place after being hauled off last week and playing tonight.

      Yeah, the respective fixtures this week favors Eriksen this week as well.

    Show time: Should I sell Siggy or Albrighton for Di Maria? Selling Albrighton gives me some depth, and I don't lose the value on Siggy, but selling Siggy gives me two million extra to finance Baines/Costa/Big hitter X in the coming weeks.

    Is it time to sell Siggy?

    A) Siggy --> Chadli
    B) Siggy --> Downing
    C) Siggy --> AN Other
    D) Keep Siggy

    Decisions decisions.....

        He is the joint second highest assister in the game and has decent fixtures coming up.

          This is true but I can get him back after the next couple of fixtures which are tough (Arsenal & Citeh).

          Also, he doesn't score, and his stats aren't great. Need a bit of an explosive boost (ie Goals)

    Don't like not making transfers. Hits are much more fun.

    Tadic or Di Maria?

    I would keep Tadic through Southampton's tough fixtures and sell Pelle. Tadic gives me the option of getting Costa back in. Di Maria is a captain option this week and means id do Bony rather than Costa to Pelle in 2 weeks. Thanks!

    is there a chadli owner out there who actual likes having him. coz it's really really annoying when you rate him but don't have him. the moe you moan the more you come across as a mindless point chaser imo

      No...I have him and don't like him either..

      FF is full of Chadli owners who don't want him and Non Chadli owners who do want him...very odd.
