There was just a wafer-thin point separating myself and Granville in Gameweek 11, despite my rivals decision to ignore the force of nature that is Alexis Sanchez.

In a svelte but packed episode of the ScoutCast, my co-host and I discuss the Chilean’s “essential” charms and pile praise on the reborn Stewart Downing and the new, reliable Leighton Baines v2.

Around the usual regulars, we drop in on some old favourites, as Aleks Kolarov discovers new methods of running Granville’s Gameweek and I somehow manufacture a way of snuggling under the Van Persie duvet. We also carry on nudging the Harry Kane-wagon, run our teams through the Gargatron computer and go on “Warnock Watch” once more.

Squeeze into this episode out via this link or sample its tautness via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Lost at bottom:

Have been having the worst year of fantasy football to date and I can see why with my moves. Can anyone get me back on track?

    Bego - Elliot
    Mertesacker - Coleman - Clyne - (Wisdom) - (Colo)
    Downing - Fabs - Sterling - Eriksen
    Pelle - Aguero - Welbeck

What in the world do I do with this lot? No costa, Sanchez or Baines.

1.4ITB, already made transfer. Thoughts on hits to get this team back in shape?

Yes, but it would be for a -8. Is that viable?

You don'r need baines as you have coleman. I would downgrade mert, bego and possibly eriksen. Use cash to get sanchez, costa or aguero if possible

Welbeck to Sakho would give you 3.0 to play with.
Then I'd look at Eriksen to ADM or Sanchez

Forwards are good imo. Midfield got Sterling and Eriksen both not getting any points an dropping value. Not a fan of Mert or Bego either. Would start with the Eriksen/Sterling situation.

Take out Ulloa. He's worth more, but is in poorer form. Naismith's dip in points earned is less reflected of a dip in form. And grab Sakho. I actually JUST NOW grabbed Sakho for Ulloa.

Thanks! I am worried about Naisy as a rotation threat though. Can only see Martinez using one out of Barkley and Naismith -and I bet that is going to be Barkley.

I don't think him and Barkley are rivaling to stay off the bench, but if Barkley's in, Naismith's not playing in the hole. Either way, he probably won't be producing the points he was getting at the beginning of the campaign. But i don't see Ulloa doing any better either.

Thanks for your input!. I ended up dropping Naismith anyway though 😀

Etoo,Lukaku,Naismith, Barkley, Mcgeady, Pienaar, Osman, Mirallas (from next GW) all vying for a spot in the attacking 4 and add to that they are in the EL, it is going to be a rotation hell.

After all, Leicester is a bit stuck with fielding Ulloa at least .

    My DZ bros,
I need some thoughts here please. Missed Sterling to ADM on Monday and now .1 away, so....
Dummet --> Saylor to afford Sterling --> ADM this week (-4).
OR play Sterling and hide behind a couch and get ADM next week for free?

Oh dear, big mistake mate. If you don't think AdM is going to get a haul and will captain him this weekend then I would wait and do it for free. Really rough though...really too bad you missed out on that for free I'm sorry bud 🙁

Yes he could well do it. Probably a hit worth taking anyway as Sterling is just going to blank again and continue his plummet into oblivion. I brought AdM in on a hit this week if it's any consolation. Slapping the band on him though 😀 And happy birthday in advance, mate!

Di Maria is at 87% of the way to a fall and Sterling only 15 according to FPL stats so maybe you'll get lucky and Di Maria will fall again before Sterling and you can do it tomorrow. But if not, I think it's worth the hit. The Crystal Palace fixture is a huge part of Di Maria's appeal to me.

Diame all day. He is the better player, playing more centrally, nearer to goal, is a better finisher, against a worse team, is guaranteed to start, more likely to play the whole 90 mins, and is more on form. Do you need any more convincing?

    Howard
    Dawson / Jag/ Bertrand/ chambers

Good points made about Siggy -> Downing on the last page.

I just compared stats and the fixtures up to Jan wildcard and feel the move seems valid than I thought.

There's a good chance that Downing will outscore Siggy over the period.

After CPL and QPR, Siggy will face whm, TOT, hul ... They are not easy.

Only thing on my mind is how to get Costa after the break
My team is linked , I have 3 options
A: Clyne Bertie Tadic Welbeck > Chambers Yun Downing Costa -8
*leaves defense very light but leaves a team of Baines Sanchez ADM Hazard Costa Aguero
B: Clyne Hazard Berahino >Duff Downing Costa -4
      * Benefit immediately from this because Chelsea play WBA, but not sure if having Costa over Hazard is wise ,ideally would like both
C: Stick and forget Costa now , getting him now is breaking the team too much

Thanks for replies fellas, drives you mad this game , trying to stay ahead of the curve , I will wait , but just planning ahead , basically my thinking is : that Southampton assets will be sold in mass gw13 and Costa should be in high demand by then ,and as a result of a high TV, I can have Costa Aguero Baines and a power house midfield

Having already spent 4pts, surely I have to stick right?
No Saints is a major worry and I know I know I know no Sanchez but I'm happy with Adm over him for right now ( and see no way at all getting him without selling Costa)

          Baines. Chambers. Ivanovic

you could sell ivanovic and get a cheaper defender like creswell and upgrade hazard to sanchez

Did sterling to Haz last week.

          who should i captain

pelle, costa, sanchez, adm or tadic

          im really leaning toward pelle

Pelle and Costa are tempting captain options, however I think I should be going for Kun. Underlying stats and big chances are just amazing. I figure he at least score 1 goal (surely?) and if the other players perform, even if better than Kun, it's good enough having him in my team.

Sitting at 12 k and top of my MLs so don't want to take to any dramatics risks.

Agree the form isnt great but Kun has scored consistently thisnyear even when the team.is stuttering. Even the games against West ham and United he couldve had a hat trick but unlucky due to narrow misses and the penalty claims going against him

This FA Cup weekend is bound to provide magic. I can't wait to watch useless footballers chase after players far superior to them, as the home crowd roars them on, hoping for a giantkilling.

Then to switch off Liverpool vs Chelsea and watch the FA Cup matches.

Really want to do Sig to Downing for -4 as West Ham have much better fixtures for the next 2 and its pretty even after that + Swans out of form. However I have Fab and Pelle on 4 yellows. If Pelle gets booked tomorrow I would get Sakho and I think two WHU is one too many.

                Two questions:

                1) Should I go for it?
                2) When are yellows reset?

I dont think a double up with West Ham is all that bad given the form and fixtures. I would prefer to keep siggy though

Why? In the long term yes, but surely at the moment (next 3-4) Downing is a better bet? Can always switch back if Swans start playing again

Siggy is at the heart of the Swans attack. If tjeu fo well, hes likely to be involved. As for switching back, its easier said than done and will have a dent in your TV. Probably the main reason why I havemt done it is i think 2FT over the internationals will be better served than punting on Downing. But if you habe 2FT now and jothing better to do, sure go ahead.

Id only have 1 anyway and sig will fall and Downing will rise so net loss only likely to be .3 at most

Thinking same move with same issue but time is running out.

I think WHU fixtures are not that great actually ... see above post.
But the move does also free up some funds to help me get Costa back into my team.

                My Birthday today!! 😀

Thinking of Siggy ➡ Downing -4

                Team is ...

                Begovic
                Baines, Chambers, Wisdom
                Di María(C), Sánchez, Fábregas, Siggy
                Pellè(VC), Agüero, Berahino

(Gilks, Saylor, PVA, JWP) £0.7 ITB

Also how do I get Costa in for Berahino next GW?!

Keep your FT. It will be useful in getting Costa in for Berahino for Sigurdsson next week. 1 goal and 7 assists from 10 games from Sigurdsson is a great stat. Arsenal's defence right now isn't as strong as people think.

                    I don't have a FT, wish I did.
I'd need to downgrade one of ADM or Fabs next week to afford Costa back which is the real dilemma as I want them all!! 🙂

maybe you dont take out siggy now for a hit
and maybe Fabregas and berahino to Costa and downing next gw
                  thats my opinion

                    Hmmm... thanks AM.

Take out one Che player for another, seems logical. Can't have 'em all!

                    Happy Bday mate 🙂
                    Similar position to me
Save for now have 2ft in break
                    Pelle > Sakho
                    Siigy>Downing
                    PvA > Yun
                    Berahino > Costa
                    -8 after break captain Costa
not sure if that adds up if it does go for it

                      Noice.

Not sure about a WHU double up but not out of the question.
Thanks for the B'day wishes and reply too! 🙂

Would hate to lose Pelle but sacrifices are needed somewhere.

                  Sterling/Eriken + Welbeck >>> Sanchez/ADM + Sahko for a -8?

I think both Swansea and Spurs will get goals this week. I like Chaldi at home. Stoke doesn't concede too many, but they always concede and Chaldi is the man at Spurs.
