After reviewing the Goalkeepers and Defenders, the third instalment in our series of Members articles looking at Fantasy consistency sees midfielders come under the microscope.

Aiming to highlight those players who week-in, week-out offer solid returns, we’ve looked at the top ten midfielders for points per game in 2010/11 and analysed their scores in terms of reliability. While the likes of Rafael Van der Vaart impresses in his debut season, there’s plenty room for Florent Malouda -despite his overall haul of 186- to improve his consistency for Chelsea this upcoming season.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

If there's still rioting going on then the met will be too stretched to police matches.

Gawd I'm worried about my 6.5 midfielder. Currently got Ramsey but get a slight shiver every time I see him in my team.

But it's him or Sess and I'm thinking Ramsey at the moment.

Then I look at my defense and see Given and Dunne and think urgh. Villa cleansheets week after week? Hope so....

Don't really want to spend 6.5 on a QPR player. Just can't see the value in it myself. Although I can see why other people would do. Sess has potential for his OOP scoring, although Ramsey has a certain proven class. If only I was convinced he'd turn this into FPL gold!

Funny how Sunderland have both Sess and Larsson at the same price in midfield. Both kinda tempting. Different reasons, same price.

I took Given, as did many others, not sure about doubling on Villa though. As for Ramsey, I think it's a good choice as long as either Nasri or Cesc leave.

      Woop!

Silva is the only attacking City player I'd currently get, given the fact we don't know who else will start. Dzeko could be worth a punt but I won't be going there.

Nani is a good shout, looks on top form and should be good for starts for the first couple of gameweeks. Personally I'm going Rooney though, on pens and has been looking quite good pre-season.

I have N'Zog, proven FPL scorer now playing in a better team and at 7.5m I can't look past him, unless you have Bent.

I know Silva is the only attacking player from city...but does that make him worth the price tag?

Rooney over nani? That's my opinion too, but I guess I'm letting all the RMTs get to me.

I guess Zog makes sense since I don't want bent. (well I do, but only until I can get suarez)

I don't have Silva. WIth my defence I can only afford one pricey midfielder and I've gone for Malouda. I'm steering clear of City unless we get word on Aguero/Tevez starting vs Swansea.

RMTs are good, they can give you ideas and feedback from your own. But you still need to go with your gut most of the time!

Hmmm. I have Bent. I agree it seems a bit OTT to have both Nzog and Bent. I was thinking that MOST attacks will go through Nzog, but the man at the end most likely to stick the ball in the net is that man Bent.

The Nzog and Bent debate seems a little like the Downing and Carroll debate. You don't really want both.

agreed. wellbeck played really well in the c.s. and imo gave united a different dynamic to that which berba does. Speed going forward is looking like the order of the day for SAF with rooney pulling the strings . Hernandez speedy and direct and so is wellbeck. berbs slows everything up too much and like yourself ASGiggsy I am going with Wellbeck for the first few games as it gives free money to have a strong midfield so even if he doesn't play my team goes 3-5-2 so no real loss there.

Why would your opinion fall because he is 22? Did you watch the barca game or the CS? He's developing into a brilliant midfielder, at just the right time. He has 8 years of playing for Man Utd and winning a load of trophies ahead of him, he's a bloody hero 😛

Just thought he had more years of development ahead of him. He's a good player, but he's around the same age as the likes of Walcott, Sanchez, Busquets, Ozil, Di Maria, Pato, Mata the Da Silvas, yet has nowhere near the experience 9and actually, doesn't look quite the player that any of them do).

I mean, he's a handy player, but hardly set the world alight at Wigan.

I think he's got potential to be a useful squad player from United, but he'd have to "do a Pedro" to deserve to be on the pedestal you put him on.
