If your first autosub also didn't play does the system ignore that and just put them in anyway, defaulting to the 2nd sub, or am I shafted on that one?
It put in your first sub that is a suitable formation and played ie if your first sub didn't play it skips to second. Is that what you mean?

I've been monitoring this all season and there is really very little choice in the sub-£5m bracket for a fifth midfielder. Boyd and Marney appear to the best options, which isn't too inspiring. However, they're both nailed and will get you 2 points a week on average. Brady might be of interest at £4.6m if he can nail down a regular spot and start getting in the points. He was also Hull's pen taker last year.
Thinking of Brady or Mahrez.
The only issue with Mahrez is game time. Over the festive period you really want a fully playing subs bench.

Id say do it and hang on to rooney for a bit. Costa is a bit overpriced for no baps, no pens, few assists and rare double-digits (granted, smalisl sample). Rooney is reliable and has more upside right now IMO.

By that virtue, we shouldn't get Rooney either cause his last 9 GWs were 4, 2, 0, 0, 0, 2, 2, 9, 8. And Sturridge should never come under consideration with 0 pts in his last 9 and next 7 or so.
You can't count games in which he was injured/suspended, cause that is not the situation thereafter.If he's on your bench though then I guess they do. 11m benched means a much cheaper starting xi. Rooney was playing midfield for some of those scores so it makes sense he hasn't scored as well, might be a different prospect now.
Costa will be a different prospect too cause the bans and injuries are out of the way. Remove the 0's and there are 3 blanks in 13 GWs. Remarkable if you ask me.

No right answer imo. I brought in Haz over Fab for explosiveness and Rooney because of form and the fact I have Siggy. All four players could score very highly.
Rooney still plays too deep imo. Not worth the price and he takes up a striker spot.
He seems to be thriving there now, though. It was between him and Bony and I very well could have made the wrong choice, we'll see.
