Newcastle have worries in defence as they head to Burnley. Arsenal have concerns at left-back for the home clash against Southampton, who are set to be without Morgan Schneiderlin. Enner Valencia returns as the Hammers head to the Hawthorns, Yun Suk-Young could be poised to recover for QPR, whilst Stoke have a midfield headache ahead of their visit to Old Trafford.

Wojciech Szczesny remains sidelined for Arsenal’s home clash with Southampton. Arsene Wenger has also confirmed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal are all doubts, though hopes to have one of the latter two available to feature at left-back.

Morgan Schneiderlin has been ruled out of the Emirates clash and is set for adductor scans. Jack Cork is back for Ronald Koeman’s side, though, after recovering from a weekend illness.

Mark Noble is a doubt for the Hammers’ trip to West Brom later this evening after suffering a recurrence of a calf complaint during the weekend win over Newcastle. Enner Valencia is back in the squad after missing the last two matches though injury, though fellow forward Diafra Sakho is still unavailable. Winston Reid returns after serving a one-match suspension.

Gary Monk has confirmed that Swansea have no new injury worries ahead of the home clash against QPR. Nathan Dyer is set to return to the squad after missing out at the weekend.

Steve Sidwell (knee) could be out for up to six weeks for the Potters, whilst Glenn Whelan is expected to be sidelined for a couple of weeks with a calf complaint. Phil Bardsley is back in training after recovering from the illness that forced him to miss the weekend trip to Liverpool.

Newcastle are facing a mounting injury crisis in defence for the trip to Burnley. Alan Pardew is already without Tim Krul and Fabricio Coloccini and is now sweating over the fitness of Mike Williamson, Massadio Haidara and Daryl Janmaat. With Moussa Sissoko and Jack Colback serving one-match suspensions, the Magpie manager has revealed he has included three youth team players in his matchday squad.

Sebastien Pocognoli is a doubt for West Brom after sustaining a dead leg at the weekend. James Morrison is back in training and will be assessed for the visit of West Ham.

Leicester’s David Nugent is set to be assessed after picking up an ankle problem at the weekend. The Foxes boss Nigel Pearson has also confirmed that Dean Hammond is back in training but tonight’s match is set to come too soon.

Harry Redknapp remains optimistic that Yun Suk-Young will recover from the knee knock that forced him off in the weekend win over Leicester. Bobby Zamora could also be in contention – he requires a late fitness test after missing out on Saturday with a back problem.

Mamadou Sakho is back in training for Liverpool but this evening’s trip to Leicester will come too soon. Mario Balotelli is sidelined once again with a groin injury.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

Used to know a few lads that'd knock around with Robbie Brady a bit. Had known he had been with the United youth team, then a couple of years later I flick on the tv and see him starting for Hull 😆

My aunt dated former Norwegian footballer Jan Åge Fjørtoft (has played for both Swindon, Middlesbrough, Sheffiel United and Barnsley in England).

Luckily she ditched him for a doctor. 😆 Fjørtoft as a pundit is a pain to listen to.

Fraser Forster played for the same kids team as me (albeit he played for them over 10 years later!) and his parents still live on the same road as mine.

Also Clark Carlisle tried to chat up my wife whilst we were dating. (My wife and I were dating, not Clark and I)

Alan Hansen and Mark Lawrensen live just down the road from me, I always see them wandering around town. I shared a steam room with Mark too, he was in there for about half an hour straight at one point, I think he fell asleep.

One of my mates is best friends with Raheem Sterling. He goes out a lot, drinks, eats at places like KFC, etc. doesn't bode well with me as a Liverpool fan.

    Naylor / Chambers / Clyne / Hutton / Davies
    Sigg / Sanchez / ADM / Sterling / Eriksen
    Costa / Bony / Sakho

    0.3 ITB, 2FT

    Think to do Sakho + ADM -> 16m = (forward + midf)

    a) ADM Sakho -> Rooney Jedinak
    b) ADM Sakho -> Yaya Kane
    c) ADM Sakho -> Mata + under 7.2 striker

City have apparently lost 1-0 a few times in a row at Sunderland and this'll stop them from performing in this game is the logic. Total bollocks if you ask me but I can see why people would think it.

It's not total bollocks. City's style of play suits Sunderland.

To think Sunderland, who have had different managers in this time, have cracked the code seems implausible. No one can consistently keep city out, but Sunderland have figured it out?

I don't think we should give Sunderland too much credit for being able to park a bus. Blame City for lack of tactical nous in their management.

No one else can do it so consistently though. Name one other that has. The more likely explanation in my mind is that its an anomaly.

I guess it's not as certain as I'm making out, but an out-of-form City away at a bogey team that just grabbed a point from the league leaders — i can't see it being an easy win for City at the least.

I think that City are actually coming into form....not out of form anymore!

Statistically, the chances of the same result 5 times in a row are very unlikely.

But the score is likely to be statistically similar.

Hazard. I should really put it on Fabregas for the certainty of points, but Hazard is more exciting.

I'm thinking of doing the same...struggling to pick ebtween Rooney and Hazard though...

I don't really fancy any defence to keep Aguero quiet at the moment. I could still go for Rooney, or even Baines if I get a rush of blood to the head, but the stats on Aguero and Rooney's goal threat are incomparable. Rooney could easily play deep, and I just can't see him getting the chances Aguero will.

Statistically, the chance of 1-0 is not affected by previous results.

Quote abou Aguero from Lawro: "The way Sergio Aguero is playing up front at the moment, he could probably play centre-back instead of Kompany and still be City's best player." 🙂
