how man city would love to call him back from his loanI used my WC a long time ago, in gw5, but I am wondering what the logic is to wait until January for those of you with so many flagged players.
I know it's next month but conceivably you could repair your damaged team and still have 7-8 gameweeks before activating the other WCC at the end of January. If you take a few hits to band aid the problems, that could quickly add up since there are probably going to be more weeks like this in this December of congested fixtures, especially if a two week injury could mean three or more games missed.
Saving it until the DGWs in the latter stage of the season doesn't seem to make much sense in this situation either, since those of us who already used a WC could take a -12 or so and construct pretty much the same team that someone on a WC could, but the WC savers might have spent that same -12 or more in December trying to triage a badly wounded squad.
This is more of an open ended question about theories for playing the game than a specific criticism of anyone or any decision, as I don't envy some of the horrific confluences of bad luck I've seen on here this weekend.I can get a decent team out with my 2 frees.

Everyone is taking hits though. Not many active players will have 2FT and >2 issues this GW. So you "gain" points this week using you WC, sure. But more than you would around DGWs?
That's a good point about the gain being slight if so many teams will be taking hits as they are in the same boat with the highly owned players. The best time to use a WCC might then be when others aren't taking hits then if you wanted to differentiate from the crowd...
2 of the 3 guys around me have used there's and I want to keep it in the bag for later. They're suffering through this the same way I am, and not enough players standing out to give me a significant boost right now (really big pool of strikers to choose from and too few mids - everyone already has the obvious choices)
I had 6 unavailable players before GW14 so used my WC. My team going into GW15 had no flags - I now have 5 unavailable for GW16 lol.
I don't know what this proves but thought I'd mention it.That is brutal.
My rule is if I can get a team out I am happy with for no more than -4 then I don't consider WC.
Granted, this week may have been it this year but I only have Aguero and Austin out and 2FTs so I will continue to hang on!A lot of people who used their wildcard earlier are taking hits for next gameweek anyway so my WC for DGWs later will still provide me with points profit.
I've got chambers-fabregas-aguero-chadli and albrighton...so a -4 will do the trick...no need to WC...of course further injuries in midweek might change that
also the WC can be used to unscramble AFTER a DGW as well as setting up a bumper week depending on circumstances

I don t want to splash WC now, especially close to January and to make a team in a situation with a large number of class players injured/ suspended (Aguero, Di Maria, Silva, Fabregas...). Most of my rivals used theirs WCs early and that is my big advantage (works every season)... Etc, etc... Simply, I do not support your theory for several reasons...
