Granville and I make a New Year return to the ScoutCast studio, battered and bruised by the events of Gameweek 20 which saw us both inexplicably bench Harry Kane and his 18-point haul.

Having wasted our big differential and haunted by constant reminders, my co-host and I struggle to make a recovery. Spitting the pips from our sour grapes, we do our best to justify our doomed decision-making, before attempting to salve the wounds with talk of the Winter Wildcard refresh around the usual batch of regulars.

        pretty much everywhere in the world where it's allowed to eat pigs, had ham and cheese is a top seller. there's a reason for that. sometimes the simple ones are best.
        with a little strong mustard and maybe onions, you can't beat the ham and cheese, (preferably toasted)

        In no particular order, I don't presume:
        1. Meatball sub (meatballs, marinara, mozzarella cheese on a sliced open quality loaf of bread)
        2. Baguette, butter and brie or camembert.
        3. BLT - (maybe add a little sliced turkey in there.)
        4. Pulled pork and cole slaw on a bun
        5. Burger (not sure if this exactly is a sandwich. If so, you could add fried/breaded chicken or pork on a bun to the list.)
        6. Smoked brisket with any number of combos.

        People will say nobody is a must blah blah blah, but i can't see myself not owning one when on the wildcard. They are the best defence in the league and have easier fixtures in the 2nd half of the season now.

            Yeah i think so. Should never be at risk of a cameo and will play the majority, although sadly not completely nailed as he was earlier in the season.

              In the long run, he was only going to score points - but those who had Fabregas, got the price rises and then changed to Hazard are probably laughing at someone like me who has never owned Fabregas so far this season.

                He's too cheap.

                He'll be in most teams and give everyone a large amount of money to spend on the midfield. Teams end up being very similar. Diversity is good for the game imo, and Kane helps reduce it.

                  I agree but early movers will benefit the most as his price will rise very quickly if he is bought buy 50% of teams. The same was true for Southampton defenders and Siggy this earlier this season.
