Before we draw a line firmly under the first Gameweek, we’ve decided to analyse some individual performances over the weekend. By looking at the Opta stats of Fernando Torres, we can see what his Sunday showing at the Britannia offered in comparison to his average displays for the Blues last term. The same applies to Robin Van Persie- no goals from the Dutchman at St James on Saturday night, but how did his game hold up?

In this first Members article of the active Fantasy season, we also take a look at Victor Moses and Ashley Young’s Man United league debut, weighing up what the pair’s new roles this season have offered so far…

    I am very happy with my team and I don't have any Manchester players (both of them). Am I wrong? Maybe Roonster instead of Torres or I am ok. I don't feel like I am gonna captain Utd or City player in the next 2 GW's so everything is good yeah or?

      Hey daniel hows u mate 😉

      I would suggest try to get nani\young on board for man u cover..they pkay both the matches at OT..we all knw hoe bend over spurs have been at OT..and Arsenal are bullocks so far..Man City have two tough away games tough..so u can actually hold on..but they would score in both f their away games...unless and until Mancini goes extra defensive which he generally does while playing agaisnt big team

      U r in the boat heavy 3 lads upfront. In the past when I have done that my team was always going down. But be my guest. I would love when some of the big guns has monster score and a lot of u lads will be in problems making 4 or 8 point hit and then a lot of RMT with 2-3 big hitters in mid. It will be hilarious 🙂

        with bardsley i needed at least on Scot in the team and hes been attacking more and more

        im usually a 12,11,6 sort of person up front but dont rate many of the big MF this season, had silva but im Knee Jerking for aggero

      id capain torres this week. have 2 chelsea defenders(guaranteed clean sheet) thus drop lampard for silva and swap enrique for cole. you will find u will have more points at the end of the wknd if u do 😉

      Going for the Osman boat myself..!! Don't like City much? I think you need a cover there....Silva instead of Lamps or Aguero instead of Torres would be my pick. You don't want a player that does not play so upgrade Ferguson to someone who does. (N Dyer is @ 4,5 for example)

      I would downgrade Lampard to Silva (saves you 2,5 m) Sell Hughes for Kompany (1,5 m left) and upgrade Ferguson. Other wise I quite like it.

        Lots of advice to overlook Lampard. He's got a good chance of getting stacks of points in the next few weeks, or in fact the whole season. I'd try and keep him in there.

        eventually I'd plan to go back to Holt as the 3rd FW; the next month's run for Everton looks appealing though

    Not sure on defense, any advise? Could go Enrigue, Simpson instead of Brown and Taylor? Also not sure on Senderos.

    Worried by lack of Utd cover but their fixtures aren’t great..Plan to bring in Young for Malouda after GW 4, sounds good?

    Also plan Torres > RVP after a few weeks too, have 1.5 spare in the bank for that.

    Please some advise, really unsure of this team!

      Change Senderos to Da Laet, then Bosingwa to Enrique when he loses his starting gig.

      With Torres you'll have Chelski coverage so change Malouda to Nani or Young for Manure coverage

      I agree with GodFowler. Young is a better choice out of those two even with these fixtures, IMO. Malouda looked horrible against Stoke.

      On defense I'd take Enrique, Brown and Simpson. They rotate very nicely.

      Got to go with Fixture on this occasion, don't like Torres either, rotation risk and just not scoring but he did play better last week and AVB will start him again imo, should be a goal fest for Chelsea.

          Don't Roget this was against the Swans so my gran could have racked up 4 or 5 shots against them. Silva the better long term choice. Yaya was good choice last year because of his price. At 8 mil not such a bargain.....

          Suarez is potential personified. He can create as well as finish off moves. Carroll (is by comparison) a lumbering uncoordinated oaf.
