Before we draw a line firmly under the first Gameweek, we’ve decided to analyse some individual performances over the weekend. By looking at the Opta stats of Fernando Torres, we can see what his Sunday showing at the Britannia offered in comparison to his average displays for the Blues last term. The same applies to Robin Van Persie- no goals from the Dutchman at St James on Saturday night, but how did his game hold up?

In this first Members article of the active Fantasy season, we also take a look at Victor Moses and Ashley Young’s Man United league debut, weighing up what the pair’s new roles this season have offered so far…

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Lot of money in defence, be tempted to upgrade the mid and downgrade that a little. You could also do Malouda instead of Lamps that would give you more to play with

This extra week of free transfers is a bit of a nightmare. Too much temptation to tinker based on 1 week of knee jerk responses.

But anyhow, I have settled in this and in a sea of RMT's I will be thankful for any response at all.

        Cheers

No Chelsea just yet. If Torres fulfils some of the promise of last week I can trade in Rooney. But I have a feeling Rooney will score even with tough fixtures. Ditto Baines. Good fixtures coming up and think he'll do well, but if not I can move down to Cashley and get some chelsea coverage that way.

That's the thinking at any rate.

    Morning All,

First RMT for me before i (try and) stop thinking about it before the weekend:

    Given (Al Habsi)
Cole, Senderos, Lescott (Simpson, De Laet)
    Malouda, Moses, Silva, Larsson (Henry)
    Bent, Suarez, Saha

worried about lack of Man U coverage, but Roonpig too expensive and i dont like their fixtures. Is Malouda rotation risk - he's seemed nailed on for a while..

I would go Torres instead of Bent and Nani or Young instead of Malouda. That way you have your Man U coverage and have chelsea firepower. I think Torres looks sharp. Malouda might get rotated. You can get Bent later if he comes good by downgrading Torres.

I don't think West Brom are going to be the joke they were last year. Don't get me wrong, I don't think they're gonna be higher than mid-table at any point, but I think they'll concede less while losing slightly fewer games.

I think people have gone off RVP mainly due to Arse being a sinking ship not off his performance in GW1 or his potential as a player.

Nani on the other hand was always a risk due to rotation. He'll probably play next game but could easily be dropped for the Arsenal and Chelsea games.
