As if out of sympathy for the Fantasy Premier League, or podcast recording software crashed at the death this week. Finished. Kaput.

Panic ensued – hands on head there were cries of “I can’t go through that again” from host Mark as I desperately attempted to recover our lost words. Luckily, temporary files restored, our fifty fourth episode was rescued and rebuilt like Ledley King’s knee. Hopefully it won’t collapse again next week – like Ledley King’s knee.

Within it you’ll find unusually muted tones as Mark and I dissect the events or rather “non-events” of the weekend. Frustrations vented, this week’s broadcast picks up to its usual pace and departs on an optimistic note.

      I think I'm sticking with Aguero. I don't want to risk him going up and I think he will be the top man in the EPL this year. Plus I'm thinking he will have another good week this week. and not sure if torres will actually start scoring anytime soon

      Pretty rubbish I think. Well not rubbish, but very risky.

      Evans and Bosingwa are decent picks right now but you'll need to deal with them in a few weeks time.
      The frontline looks dodgy. Two injury prone forwards and another who was dreadful last season.

      At the moment . . .

      Given, Vorm
      Kompany, Alex, Senderos, Simpson, Woodgate,
      Nani, N'Zogbia. Sinclair, Moses, Surnam
      Aguero, RVP, Suarez

      Until such a time as Chelsea sign a midfield playmaker, I can't see the value in Torres.

      £.5M in the bank for Alex out Luiz.

      Plenty of captain choices.

        Looks strong alright, hard to fault. Could be slightly dodgy with the 2 glass men & rotation risk in defence though.

        Mine's practically the opposite since i've opted for Lampard & Torres hoping they'll spank WBA and Norwich. Might still hop on the Aguero train instead.
        Going for Cahill over 3 strong up top.

        Kinda reluctant to invest in Arsenal til I see how they settle into the season, the fixtures don't help either. Ramsey's been in and out of might squad all week.

        Been considering Sinclair too but Brunt's fixtures just edge it for me.

          It's impossible to get it to a point where you fell 100% happy with it.

          I've compromised with having no Chelski attacking cover. That could hurt me, immensely. Cheap rotatable defenders allow me some to focus the £ up front.

          If (when) RVP 'glass ankles' sustains an injury, he'll be relatively easy to replace. Penalty takers always handy, you just never know.

            I started out with RVP last week, and as many times as it's been said on here about Fabregas & Nasri supply affecting him, it's probably true so i'm steering clear for now with an eye on SWANSEA in gw4.

            Just wondering why you opted for Kompany and Alex?
            I've been mulling over the best £12m combo, it's set as Lescott and Bosingwa at the moment.

              The supply line to RVP is certainly a cause for concern. It'll be a frenetic high speed game.

              This early on in the season one can afford to take a few chances. guess you could say he is mine.

              Kompany as a season keeper. Alex because it looks like he'll play this gameweek.

        I would want a more expensive front line, so I would cheapen cole and pick only one of malouda/Silva

        but thats me. Everyone else seems to love pricey defenders.

          I see your logic with cole- but seeing the 3 BP's he stole last week I feel I need to wait and see if he's a consistently unworthy benefactor of the EA BP system.

          Plus his fixtures aren't half bad! 😛

        Great team. It's well-balanced and I like the choice of players.

        Orr wasn't started in the first game. Perhaps look at a replacement for him? I'd suggest Caulker/De Laet at the moment.

        After a couple weeks I'd consider downgrading Malouda to upgrade Zamora. Chelsea's fixtures will get harder and Malouda runs the risk of substitution.

          Thanks for the feedback- my chelsea players are gonna be yanked out when their fixtures deteriorate- probably for young and hughes.

          Will look at delaet again- his PPI was good last week as well for some reason.

          Very much an attack- can play on the wing but seems to have been given the role of CAM.

          If he keeps his place and we don't sign anyone else then he's definitely one to watch.

      i do think its a good team, and i have a similar set up myself, but i just can't agree with all that $$$ in defence, which you could invest further up the field to give a couple of more captain choices. but like i said, its a good team, just wouldn't be my 1st choice
