As if out of sympathy for the Fantasy Premier League, or podcast recording software crashed at the death this week. Finished. Kaput.

Panic ensued – hands on head there were cries of “I can’t go through that again” from host Mark as I desperately attempted to recover our lost words. Luckily, temporary files restored, our fifty fourth episode was rescued and rebuilt like Ledley King’s knee. Hopefully it won’t collapse again next week – like Ledley King’s knee.

Within it you’ll find unusually muted tones as Mark and I dissect the events or rather “non-events” of the weekend. Frustrations vented, this week’s broadcast picks up to its usual pace and departs on an optimistic note.

Listen in and share our pain.

What do people think of the league administrators resetting the leagues?

Don’t think it should be resetted personally..

Ahh right, lol doubt my mate will re-set it, but then again he is sitting tied bottom at the bottom of the table with me so he might do.

Would he of been told being the league administrator? Like would he of been sent something to personally tell him whether he can reset it or not?

God i hope he does as im the one tied bottom with him 🙂

      not much in it

Can't decide between A and B to be honest...

C would be the likes of O'Hara/Walters/Jarvis/Barton but A and B are preferable.

Sinclair's on penalties. Both teams have decent fixtures. Brunt's proven, Sinclair's expected to do well. Tough one.

Kompany, A Cole, Bosingwa, Hughes, Simpson
    Suarez, Aguero, Blake.

Mainly put Aguero in because i think his price is going to shot up a bit and don;t want to miss the price rise.

I've only just joined this site but take my FF fairly seriously

Just out of interest, how good are the best folk on this site?

I've been playing for four seasons and my finishes have been 16k, 74k, 50k and 9k

I've been pretty pleased with that, but I've no doubt there must be folk getting above that on a consistent basis

Anyone on here getting top 5,000 or even top 1,000 pretty much every season for a few years in a row?

Anyone on here actually won the thing or taken home one of the "fabulous" monthly prizes?

Ramsey and RvP seem a bit of risk when Arsenal have been struggling to score and next two games are Liverpool then Man U

Arsenal players from GW4 seems the way to go

Chelsea mid/attack seems the best bet until then. But then again very few have Rvp - could set you apart.....

Can always downgrade to someone that is 10m like Nani/VDV/Young and then use the rest elsewhere if Malouda doesnt work and if Torres is cr@p then I can upgrade to Rooney. So if it works I'm happy if it doesn't, oh well.

Brunt/Jarvis to N'Zog becasue what is the point of starting 2 mids against 2 of your defenders as you are just limiting the number of points you could get.

Both Benni and Kalou far from guarenteed to start

Osman probably more likely to score points than ramsey on the basis of fixtures

      Probably 2 at a push

      So many variables...

Cahill, Baines or Saha seems to be the concensus for Toffee coverage on here

I dont really like Mikel. He has been so highly priced and delivered so little over the last four seasons. If it really is him or Leon on the basis that £8.0m is the max then probably Osman and use the extra 1.0 elsewhere

    Malouda + Yaya
    Or
    Silva + Cahill

I like both combinations, but my favorite player is Silva. I just have a feeling he'll be this year's Nani. Watching the City game everything thing went through him. But at 8.0, Yaya looks incredible value considering his stats, and having Malouda not only takes advantages of good fixtures, it allows an easy downgrade to any 10.0 mid or Silva for the double on City.

Head says 1, heart says 2.

    Any more heads and hearts?

        I don't think it matters.

I have Torres, but that doesn't change much. I'd be perfectly comfortable doubling on Chelsea.

I think I've decided on A. The added team flexibility is a clincher. In a few weeks I could do:
Malouda > Silva, Torres > RVP and be all set for GW 4 onwards. Alternatively, I'd also be able to do:
        Torres > Aguero, Malouda > Walcott/VdV/Nani etc.

      Silva+Cahill for me.

Agree with Silva being this years Nani, Seemed involved in everything City did.

Obviously, dont know a lot about the New BPs,but if it was the old system, can see Silva Picking up a lot of BPs in addition to assists.

Oddly, statistically, A is the superior choice.

Yaya scores better in the PPI than Silva.

Sigh... I guess head wins out over heart. A I guess.

Gut feelings I'm talking about, not emotions. Just feelings on player influence after watching a game.

They've served me well in the past. It landed me Tevez, Nani and VdV last season.

This year, my instinct after watching the City game was how good Silva is.

I say go with Toure + Torres

Toure powers himself through teams and I think will score better then Silva in those games such as Bolton/Stoke away.

And Torres > Malouda because if Malouda doesn't pick up his game I sense he will be dropped. Torres HAS to score in the next 2 games or his Chelsea career is really gonna take a hit.

Silva's 'ceiling' is certainly higher that Toure's.

While we're on about Silva. Do you think Nasri's impending arrival at Riyadh Rovers will impact on Silva's starting games?

            No.

Silva is arguably City's best player, even ahead of Aguero. He controls the team. Nasri will find a slot currently occupied by Johnson or one of the wide men.

What it might do though is change Silva's position. He might play a little deeper considering Nasri's more direct approach, thus limiting his fantasy potential.

            Dont think so
