Our post-Gameweek look at the new injuries sustained over the weekend brings worrying news for Sam Allardyce as a trio of Hammers players limped off at Liverpool. Brendan Rodgers eases fears over his captain’s weekend absence, though Stoke have concerns over Ryan Shawcross once again.

Chelsea
Willian was replaced on 79 minutes of last night’s draw with City at Stamford Bridge after picking up an injury, according to the club’s official website.

Crystal Palace
In his first appearance since Gameweek 16, Marouane Chamakh lasted just 24 minutes before being forced off in Palace’s home loss to Everton with a suspected broken nose. Alan Pardew remains optimistic that the Moroccan will be back in time for next week’s trip to the King Power Stadium:

â€The loss of Cham was crucial today, his guile and experience around the box would have been important. He’s got a broken nose we fear, so fingers crossed he doesn’t get my cold. He wasn’t concussed, but it was a heavy blow to the nose. But I think he’ll be okay for Leicester.â€

Liverpool
Brendan Rodgers allayed fears over Steven Gerrard’s absence from yesterday’s win overWest Ham, with the Reds skipper expected to return for the midweek FA Cup replay against Bolton:

“It was just precautionary, really. After the game the other night, his hamstring was tight. We’ve got a lot of games over the coming months, so we didn’t want to risk it when we have other players that are fresh.â€

Southampton
Lloyd Isgrove was a late withdrawal from the Saints squad that lost to Swansea today, meaning Ronald Koeman could only name six subs in the 1-0 defeat.

Stoke
The Potters skipper Ryan Shawcross lasted just 41 minutes of the 3-1 win over QPR before being forced off through injury.

Sunderland
Wes Brown missed the Black Cats’ 2-0 win over Burnley on Saturday after failing to prove his fitness upon returning to training, confirmed Black Cats boss Gus Poyet:

“Wes trained for a couple of days and it is nothing serious, so it is just about making sure he is 100% so that when we throw him in he is ready because I can tell you that it is very hard. It is great for us because we now have a big squad and I can refresh the team if I need to, but of course the ones that performed at 3pm against Burnley will have a better chance next week.â€

Swansea
Marvin Emnes lasted just 15 minutes of this afternoon’s trip to Southampton before being withdrawn due to injury. Garry Monk has further worries on the flank after Emnes’ replacement Mo Barrow was stretchered off towards the end of the 1-0 win. Leon Britton missed today’s clash due to illness, according to the club’s official website.

West Ham
Sam Allardyce is counting the cost of yesterday’s loss to Liverpool after a trio of players were forced off through injury at Anfield. The Hammers boss saw centre-halves James Collins and Winston Reid both limp off with hamstring injuries, whilst Andy Carroll picked up a knew problem in the 2-0 defeat. Post-match, Allardyce rolled out an update:

Those three coming off has thrown us into a major crisis at the minute injury-wise and you can’t expect to come to a place like Liverpool and win when those things go against you. In all fairness to Ginge, because of the injuries we had in defence [in the build-up] he tried to come in and get through this game himself, but his hamstring injury had obviously re-occurred by half-time.

Allardyce also confirmed that midfielder Cheick Kouyate missed out after returning from international duties with Senegal nursing a back injury.

    Panti, Krul
    Terry, Kosc, Clyne, Cameron, Baird
    Sanchez, Hazard, ADM, Cazorla, Boyd
    Aguero, Ings, Kane

    Hi everyone
Active WC, very important.. current rank is 7,1k, 20 points behind in ML.

    Thoughts on this team?

    Foster – Myhill
    Wisdom – Hutton – Naughton – PVA – Azpi
    Alexis – Hazard – Cazorla – Sterling/Oscar/Eriksen – Ameobi
    Sturridge – Aguero – Kane

0,1 ITB with that team, and a real headache over the Sterling/Oscar/Eriksen decision.
Defence looks pretty solid, a bit worried about Azpi getting rotated later on tho. Just cant fit Terry in if I want Cazorla + Sterling/Oscar/Eriksen. If I pick Eriksen I could get Ospina instead of Foster, don’t know for how long he will play tho.

I think you should downgrade Sturridge to Giroud. Then you can upgrade elsewhere. Sturridge is too expensive

Thanks for the advice, not so sure about it tho. Upgrade where? Get another premium defender?
I really like Giroud, but I think the goals will be pretty spread out in Arsenal... Alexis and Cazorla is just too good right now 🙂

Very strange to hear that Santon is going on loan back to Inter. I could only see him improving Newcastle's team. Perhaps there is some sort of appearance clause for more money or something?

Guys, can I ask some advice for a newbie please?

I don't really understand how the FPL site works for showing transfers up and down.

Looking at it now, are we saying Colback is closest to going up at the moment?

Any help would be gratefully received!

Ah right I see - so how do I read it?

Am I basically looking for players that have reached the 90's and their transfer in number is still going up?

I know, but that's the exact point. Just 1 moment can destroy your score. Of course it depends on your tactics, it's a high risk high reward option, and I know some people favour this.

Good chance he might get some returns against MUN though, but 4 of 5 next fixtures after that quite hard yes. But after that, from GW30, run-in actually looks quite good.

"Gary Cahill's future at Chelsea is coming under scrutiny as Jose Mourinho prepares to re-structure his defences at the end of the season, writes Neil Ashton in the Daily Mail.

The Sunday Supplement host goes on to link the Blues with a move for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane as Mourinho's patience has reportedly run out with Cahill, following a number of lacklustre displays this season."

Forget the Varane Rumor this could mean Zouma as a nailed on 4.4m Chelsea CB!

    Morning lads.

Alderweireld over Clyne has to be a good move? 0.9 cheaper! Not as attacking as Clyne or Berty, but it's the CS I want from my defenders, attacking returns is a bonus.

    PVA Naughton Terry Clyne Hutton
    Sanchez Hazard Jwp Puncheon Carzola
    Giroud Aguero Kane.

3m ITB and enough to upgrade Giroud to sturridge

Nice. Money ITB to get Studge when he's 100% sounds like a good idea.

Thanks man! That's what I had in mind due to Liverpool's hard fixtures. I expect sturridge to get a goal or two but Giroud to outscore him.

Yeah will look at it before the end of the week. Having 3 papers this week... So I'm trying to get a draft before I leave it for a few days. Had wisdom in my plan but he could be under rotation threat due to the last match?

that was more of a tactical change rather than rotation threat...but yeah at this point Foster and Lescott are the ones seeming more nailed on...Best of Luck with your papers!

Thanks man! I don't see him rising anytime soon so if he isn't under threat I'll stick with my original plan to go for him over Hutton. Was Bellerin previously but I maxout my arsenal quota by getting in Carzola.

Best GK to partner with Foster on my WC this week?

    A) Myhill - cheeeap

    B) Green - extra DGWer in 28 & a decent rotation up to GW32 (will likely play my 2nd WC by then)

    C) Krul - good rotation and slightly cheaper than Green, but no DGW

I think if you've already played your anytime WC this is the best option.

I loves a DGW though, and QPR are so crap that Green will probably get about 100 saves and face 10 pens.

Does anyone know what's happening with Caulker and Cissoko? Have both been dropped?

Have a game that's worth quite a bit of money in my mini league that I'm quite a bit clear in but can only get rid of one of them.. Are either likely to get their place back?

Caulker had a shocker vs Burnley couple of weeks and has seemingly lost his place since, seems harsh to drop after one poor game but Harry just seems to put names into a tombola machine when picking the side.

Thanks.. Both useless anyway so will just get rid of Caulker as he costs more.

Nice team Moin. Like the Mane pick, very interested in him as well. Ozil is a nice differential and Eriksen is on fire. Overall very good.

Love your berahino and ozil pick. Could well do very well indeed. Slightly away from template but that's never a bad thing eh. Was tempted on getting sturridge myself but I'm holding on Giroud for now. You don't rate arsenal's attack over the next few games?

Thanks! I somehow don't rate Giroud that high and I believe the points will be well spread..so just hoping Ozil will be the main assist provider if not the goal scorer..

That's true in a way I guess. I'm planning to ship Giroud got sturridge once Liverpool's fixtures get better. Ozil did look good ytd and yeah he is known as an assist king.

So the question is which arsenal triple? WC active

    A) Gru Santi Sanchez
    B) Gru Santi Bellerin
    C) Santi Sanchez Bellerin
    D) Theo Sanchez Bellerin

Currently on A but I don't want to spread it to thin up top.

If Sanchez is confirm fit then I think it has to be A or C. I'm currently on C.
