Alexis Sanchez is available for Arsenal’s home match with Leicester. Cesc Fabregas could return for Chelsea tomorrow evening. Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho are expected to recover from knocks in time for Liverpool’s clash with Spurs tonight, whilst Adam Johnson is now fully fit for Sunderland.

Alexis Sanchez “will be back in the group” to face Leicester this evening, Arsene Wenger has confirmed. Arsenal remain without Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, whilst Jack Wilshere is expected to return to training at some point this week.

Jose Mourinho has revealed that Cesc Fabregas could return for Chelsea’s home clash with Everton after he chose to protect the Spaniard’s hamstring by resting him away to Villa last weekend.

Raheem Sterling (foot) and Philippe Coutinho (knee) are both expected to recover in time for Tottenham’s visit, whilst Brendan Rodgers is optimistic on Adam Lallana’s chances of recovering from a groin complaint. The Reds were dealt a blow, though, after Lucas was ruled out with the thigh injury that forced him off early on at Goodison on Saturday.

Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony will miss City’s trip to Stoke tomorrow evening. The duo will travel to Ivory Coast to celebrate their victory over Ghana in Sunday’s Africa Cup of Nations final.

Adam Johnson has been deemed fully fit by Gus Poyet, after only making the bench last weekend as a result of minor thumb surgery. Connor Wickham has recovered from injury, though Emmanuele Giaccherini and Jack Rodwell are doubtful for the home clash against QPR. Billy Jones is available again after missing out through injury at the weekend.

QPR caretaker boss Chris Ramsey has confirmed Rio Ferdinand and Bobby Zamora will start against the Black Cats, with the likes of Richard Dunne, Nedum Onouha and Charlie Austin all ruled out through injury. Ramsey also revealed Mauro Zarate is in contention to be named in the first XI.

Wayne Routledge has returned to full training for Swansea after recovering from a calf complaint, whilst Modou Barrow is expected to shrug off a knee knock in time to face West Brom tomorrow.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of this evening’s 7.30pm deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

I'm tempted... as far as differentials go Kun Aguero is a hell of a pick.

he's been so disapointing since coming back but surely this week its an arsenal player. I have it on Sanchez now but will probably change to giroud if alexis doesnt make it.
Would be typical that kun rips it up tonihgt though

true that but one game was against villa and another against everton who didnt attack at all.
theyre not as shaky as they were but I dont thnk they will keep out spurs in the form they are in.

Have a look at our hot topic on this...we lay out some of the scenarios. Try and have a good idea of what you'll do in the event of certain circumstances (eg Sanchez starting/benched). Should mean you can do it quickly then get back to sleep.

      Pick one to start from:

      Wisdom(SWA)
      Baird(SWA)
      Naughton(wba)

Currently on Wisdom but I'm afraid of a cameo from him. Got a vote for Naughton on the last page, do people agree with this?

I'd say go for naughton, b/c at least you can be sure he plays, and I don't think WBA offer a significantly better chance of a CS.

1FT and £2.9m in the bank. Cazorla > Sanchez if Sanchez in starting XI (alongside Caz?)
XI and subs look OK? Cheers

      Foster
      Bellerin Clichy Clyne
      Hazard Cazorla Silva Sterling
      Aguero Giroud Kane

      Bench - PVA, Wisdom, Ameobi.

Sterling out for Sanchez? Would have 4 Arsenal so that's no-go. Keen to keep Sterling anyway, can just bench him.

If Sanchez starts just bring him in.

Depends on a lot of things - your team, how many FTs you have, your GW 27/8 plans...

But in general I'd be inclined to save a FT right now if possible. Pelle wasn't a bad choice when you brought him in. You have to be patient with your picks sometimes.

ye i agree with that. this would be last week i use ft. my team is pretty balanced, just annoyed i have dropped out of top 400 and also see gunners winning big and only got santi and kosilceny... was thinking sanchez for silva or grioud for pelle? thanks

Silva has fixtures but seems to do better in the No. 10 role. He may get that this week but with Bony back he probably won't. I'd marginally prefer to keep Pelle of those two as Southampton have fairly good fixtures too.

I would probably go for Defoe if I had neither, but I have Giroud as it stands and wouldn't swap him for Defoe. Both good options for a while imo though given the fixtures.

While he maintains his form (and so keeps his starting position), haidara is a good pick at 4.1.

The downside being that if haidara loses form he will be dropped for dummett (who is currently more likely to displace Williamson at CB).

Tricky one then. Nobody that you really want is nailed in that price range. As suggested above, bellerin offers great value, though no guarantees. If he continues to start - it has to be him I think.

      Is Targett worth keeping?

My original plan was a short term transfer (3-4 weeks) before using the saved 1.0 to bring in Alderweid (he should be back by then).

Interested to see responses here as in same boat.
Was thinking head injury + Yoshida playing well (getting an assist anyway) would mean Yoshida start but I didn't see the injury...
Wasn't going to spend a transfer on the problem though, just use a sub.

City may not score many goals.
Chelsea may not score many goals (we usually don't against Everton).
Arsenal will probably get a few but who scores/assists is a lottery.

As a result there are doubts about every captain option.

How many times have you heard players and/or pundits use the word "murdered" about a team being well beaten? Don't be so sanctimonious.

I am mostly concerned by his determination to use it, even knowing it was blocked on the site, and misspelling it just to get it on the site. Why not use another word? I'm not being sanctimonious, I am a strong believer in both free speech and the importance of context when judging the use of a word, but it just seemed unnecessary. For all we know, there are sexual abuse sufferers on this site, and Dusan is extremely determined to force an analogy between that and football.

Someone please help with this decision, it's driving me crazy..

ADM or Fab to drop for Sanchez.

Fab has EVE, BUR and is playing well .. whereas Di Maria has the fixtures sure, but is playing awfully and looks disinterested.

If I keep Fab fielding a full XI in the blank could get a bit dicey, but I think he'll be getting more points than ADM in the next two weeks before the blank. It's a tough decision.
