Having announced a couple of new cup competitions last week, we thought we’d give you another heads-up as next Wednesday’s deadline edges closer. Not only do we have the eleventh instalment of our open-to-all cup competition, as sponsored by Paddy Power, we also have the Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup V up and running over the season run-in.

If you’re familiar with our competitions you can get your entries in right now via the links below. If you’re new to all this, read on for an FAQ on the competitions.

Enter the Paddy Power XI Cup via the entry form here.

Members can also enter the Members Cup V via this entry form.

Are there prizes?

As mentioned, Paddy are supplying the competition with some great prizes and, once again, we’re supplementing these with Amazon Vouchers. The prizes break down for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XI is as follows:

Winner – £100 worth of free bets. £100 Amazon Voucher
Runner-up – £50 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon Voucher
3rd Place – £50 worth of free bets. £25 Amazon Voucher

In addition, the top scoring manager from each round will win a £25 free bet from Paddy Power on supply of their Paddy Power username.

For the Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup V, the prizes are:

Winner – £200 Amazon voucher.
Runner-up – £100 Amazon voucher

How do the cup competitions work?

Our cup competitions are very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s Fantasy Cup game. Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores). In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall standings will progress.

When do they start?

The qualifying rounds for both cups will take place in Gameweek 28, with the first rounds running on Gameweek 29.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to Wednesday March 11, when we’ll stop entry and will be drawing the first round ties from the qualifiers.

There will be 512 qualifiers for the members cup and 1024 for the Paddy Power Cup XI – depending on the number of entries. All our previous winners gain a bye into the first round draw where they will join the top scorers from Gameweek 28.

FPL standing will decide who progresses in the event of tied positions. The same rules apply in the Members Cup

How do I enter?

Enter the Paddy Power XI Cup via the entry form here.

Members can also enter the Members Cup V via this entry form.

In both cases you will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry and you’ll be asked to confirm your FPL team id at the point of entry – please be sure to click the link to verify that your team is correct before confirming.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of current entries.

The Paddy Power Cup XI entry list can be found here.

The Members Cup entry list can be found here.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the qualifying rounds of both cups will be published on or around March 11 and then weekly from that point on.

What is the Gameweek Schedule?

These Cup competitions will be played out according to the following Gameweek schedule:

When are the fixtures released?

The fixture list for each round of both cups will be published a day or two before each Gameweek deadline.

Do I have to enter if I’m previous winner?

Yes, because your FPL team ID will have changed, we will need to record you entry again. As a previous winner, you will be given a bye to the first round proper.

Do I need to be registered with Fantasy Football Scout?

We ask you to supply a FFScout username so we can feature you, as a member of our community, in any articles associated with the tournament. Ideally, you will already have a username with us but this is not essential to enter (although it is for the Members Cup) – you must, however, supply a username for the purpose of the tournament so you can be identified in articles. You must not change this username throughout the course of the tournament, should you do so without permission, or should you enter multiple teams or if your FFS account comes under moderation for any reason, we reserve the right to remove you from a tournament.

I have few transfers in my mind. Please help me.

Wolly ---> Lovren (cheap, looks nailed, good fixtures after arsenal and united)
    Rooney ---> Costa
Downing ---> Handerson or someone else, but i really dont like this, because Downing has good fixtures until the end of the season.

Definitely. World Cup, EPL, and Fifa are mostly responsible for the shift. MLS is gaining ground as well. It wasn't until a couple years ago that EPL coverage was readily available from cable providers.

Yes. NBCSN has the EPL TV rights in the US and they broadcast every game live. Pretty convenient I must admit.

Assuming it will be for Kun, depends if you want to take the gamble on that diff. If it pays off you rise heavily, but it fails you drop even heavier.

If it includes Kun then you damage other areas of your team by investing heavily in two expensive players.

its mostly in place of Lukaku, already hv Aguero, Kane, but it sure weakens my midfield, prob Mane, Sanchez, Haz , Puncheon, after transfers.

Liverpool long range - edge of box or further - goal sweepstakes. (Void if Liverpool score none long range goal 😉 )

Could there be a DGW if Liverpool play out a draw with Blackburn today?

Was on 100% rise for more than 2 days now, doesn't seem to rise

Tonight, I think. He's only just crept over 100% on FPLStats today - but they may still need to adjust the thresholds.

The usually have a kind of box around the players they know will rise, but he still hasn't got it, inspite of being at 100%..yeah, guess its something to do with the thresholds.

Mignolet looks a totally different keeper to earlier in the season.

I reckon it's Grobbelaar with a Mignolet face mask, Silence of the Lambs style.

If Liverpool win this I can see them going on and getting a CL spot.
