With 14 goals and three assists in the opening 15 Gameweeks, Sergio Aguero looked a near-essential component of our three-man frontlines until injury struck against Everton in early December. After missing five league fixtures, the City talisman’s return was eagerly anticipated by Fantasy managers but it’s fair to day that so far, Aguero’s recent displays haven’t quite been on a par with his early season endeavours.

Three goals and four assists in eight Gameweeks equate to a reasonable average of 4.875 points since recovering from a knee injury but this fares poorly against his returns from Gameweek 1-15, where he delivered seven points per appearance before he was sidelined through injury. With this in mind, we delve into the data to compare Aguero’s recent stats against his earlier displays and also analyse his efforts against other forwards from Gameweek 21 onwards.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    @Granville

Borini rejected Sunderland for football reasons after Sunderland bid 12M.
And Lambert rejected Villa for family reasons on deadline day after they bid 5M.

    Surprising. I know.

I've just finished off a leftover takeaway from earlier tonight.

I feel a little bit naughty considering I've got training in 7 hours and 17 minutes.

I quite like the way the NFL works, it's not like the Premier League where a few teams monopolise the title every year, rules allow for the smaller teams to get more competitive year by year etc

Could be, Patriots D taking a real blow, probably losing both Browner and Revis.
Seahawks a top WR away from being clear favourites.

Can't believe Belichick would let Browner and Revis both walk!

Been glued to 98.5 The Hub for the last 2 hours to find out what's been happening.

Seahawks needed a red zone TE so Graham is a good pickup.

Can't believe it either but knowing Belichick he'll have something up his sleeve, sounds like Harvin is off to the Pats now, another toy in Brady's pram.

Graham might be the one to make those big plays, really compliments the WR group in Seattle IMO.

Yeah because that's what United need, to sell a class goalkeeper for an attacker.

Just looked at their fixtures. There aren't many goals there, and there aren't many cleansheets available. A load of 2-1 losses or 1-0 losses in my eyes or score draws, and those types of scores are fantasy poison. I'd just keep away I think

It is a real struggle to find a relatively cheap defender worth bringing into your team this week. I don't see any real clean sheets for any of tham. I guess Schlupp has some attacking potential too at least.

Gus has never doubted his attacking prowess so it's illogical to suggest an assist improves his chances of starting

Poyet got sent to the stands and said he saw a completely different view of his tactics. He changed it and put pva on. That's why I think pva will play more.

Might try and get 11 double gameweekers for the hell of it.

Which teams aside from Chelsea and Leicester are likely to get an extra fixture thrown in? Am i right in thinking...

    Arsenal
    Villa
    QPR
    Sunderland
    Liverpool
    Hull

are the only ones in contention

Pool and Hull will only have a blank if Pool.beat Blackburn in their replay. So anyone holding their players should have that in mind. Best to assume Liverpool will win though.

Had a kind of strange night last night. One of our trailers was travelling up the middle of Scotland when the top of it flew off in heavy winds. Fortunately it didn't hit anyone, the driver didn't even notice as it was dark and very windy until a car flagged him down due to a failed rear light. This is when he noticed that a cable was hanging down and then noticed it didn't have a roof at all.

I despatched a mechanic to strap it up and make it as secure as possible so it could limp back to our yard.

I then found out the top of the trailer was in the middle of the road and several lorry drivers had got together and shifted it onto the verge. It was still extremely windy and obviously what was essentially a very large sheet of metal being sat next to the road was at risk of blowing onto the road. So I grabbed another driver and an empty trailer a couple of sledgehammers and saws and went out and hacked the thing into pieces and chucked it in the back of the trailer in the middle of a snowstorm and gales on a dual carriageway and fell into a rivulet which under the road (at pretty much the highest piece of road in the uk) while doing it for good measure. A very strange night.
