The Premier League have this afternoon rescheduled Aston Villa’s home clash with QPR, which was initially pencilled in for Saturday April 20, or Gameweek 33 to you and I. Due to the former’s progress to the FA Cup semi-final, this fixture will now take place on Tuesday April 7 – handing both sides a double Gameweek 31.

Tim Sherwood’s in-form side face a testing trip to Old Trafford on the Saturday before welcoming the R’s to Villa Park three days later. There’s no doubt that Christian Benteke and Gabby Agbonlahor will be the prime candidates for points after racking up three goals apiece over the last two matches, though it’s worth noting that the midlands outfit then have trips to Spurs and City on either side of their blank Gameweek 33 before finishing the season with three home fixtures in four (EVE, WHU, sou, BUR).

It’s likely that many Fantasy managers will still be holding their QPR assets after Chris Ramsey’s side were handed a double Gameweek 28. Those looking to ship out Charlie Austin and Matty Phillips will now be prepared to hold for the short-term, though the R’s don’t have it easy – prior to rolling up to Villa Park, they travel to a West Brom side with four home clean sheets in five under Tony Pulis. Despite scoring just once in his recent double, Austin fired 15 attempts against Arsenal and Spurs, whilst Phillips has now scored or assisted in four of his last five appearances. Certainly, with Chelsea, Liverpool and City – in addition to a blank Gameweek 33 – in the subsequent five rounds of fixtures, planning an escape route looks essential.

For now, this is just a heads-up article – we’ll be publishing a pair of Scouting the Doubles articles nearer the time.

He's definitely not a "oh yeah, gotta pick him up straight away" kind of a guy. Guess if someone needs a punt idea, it's not the worst. Of course, Benteke head and shoulders above, literally and figuratively.

I'm with you. Only Giroud and Sakho have a higher 'threat' rating and Charlie is next on a par with Kane.

He has also had 22 shots in last 4 matches, which is unrivalled. He also should have had a bloody hatty against Spurs

WC holders, what's the plan for gw 33 aka the blank gw?

Thinking of getting in a couple of DGW 31 players in now and then binning them in gw 32 and 33 for the likes of Siggy,Lukaku etc. who have plum fixtures in gw 33. Then WC gw 34.

yup, only issue for me is I have both Sunderland keepers so I have no keeper in GW33 atm, and plan on losing them both on wc, so think maybe I should get a keeper for GW33

I MAY add Sinclair to Austin then bin Austin and Sinclair in GW32 and a keeper and Sanchez in GW33

Was planning on saving a couple of transfers and getting rid of Alexis and Ozil for a couple of punts before the WC.

Don't think this changes my WC plans, not sure if it adds to or decreases the value of the WC tbh.

        Definitely adds.

People without WCs now have their plans scuppered for the dgw 34. They were slowly getting in dgw 34 players and now they've stumbled upon this. They have 2 DGWs to deal with and have no WC.

    My question earlier was:

    Puncheon --> ??

    A. Chadli £6.3m
    B. Mane £6.6m
    C. Siggy £6.5m
    D. Hendo £6.4m
    E. Other, who? £6.8m to spend.

Am now thinking of Sinclair as a possibility given the DGW + Swansea (ex club) at home this week. Yay or Nay?
