On the eve of Gameweek three, our second Members article of the week arrives to examine the Attacking threat and Defensive security offered by each team to this point.

We delve into the Opta data available via our Team Statistics tables in our Members Area to discover which teams are conceding the most efforts on target and from which areas of the pitch. Similarly, we breakdown those teams offering the biggest threat in terms of goal bound efforts, examining conversion rates to find those who made the most of their sights of goal so far.

Who to captain this week? Rooney, Lamps or Suarez.

Got it on Lamps at the moment but Rooney is tempting me. But if I can't captain Lamps at home v Norwich then when can I captain him and why am I paying £12m for him?

But Rooney is money in the bank...........

He needs some serious pointage tomorrow to justify £12m price tag. 2 freebies for next GW so may be downgrading him and upgrading Graham anyway.

Aye, very happy to take up the challenge. Ashley is unbelievably stupid to let Barton go for nothing, but at least we've come out of our dark ages as far as awful owners as concerned.

Everyone at the club so much happier now Bhatia is back and Fernandes supporting Warnock unlike Dastardly and Muttley.

I hear we are talking to Ridgewell. Hope we get him, he was no1 on my preseason wishlist. I think good things are happening at Loftus Road now. Cloud has been lifted. Taarabt now has competition and that should motivate him to get his ass in shape and start nutmegging some defenders!

Normally when you feel good about your team that's when you do badly.

I am not confident about my team at all this week, to be honest with you, but I can't be taking points hits this early in the season so I'll leave it til next week and make 2 changes without taking a hit for it.

who's looking good defensively so far? I know Newcastle have not conceded yet but they were so bad defensively last year that part of me thinks it's just luck.

Currently got Luke Young, doubt he'll play though, so not sure who to bring in. 5.5m is my limit for a replacement.

Probably between Enrique, Distin, Taylor, Brown and Warnock

QPR actually have 5 decent fixtures coming up, and they'll be bringing in some quality players if sky sports is anything to go by. Barton, Young and probably Wright-Phillips will make them a much more competitive team, so you may want to keep him. At least to avoid a points it, and sell him next week if you want.

Quick question, Carroll or Suarez for Liverpool game? I currently have Carroll in my team and i know the popular move is to switch him for Suarez. But for some reason the voice in the back of my head is telling me to keep him for 1 more game, and i have a sneaky feeling Suarez may come up blank against Bolton. Regardless i'll be switching him out next week because i'll have an extra free transfer, but Carroll scored against Bolton last season plus Aguero (who imo is very similar to Suarez) wasn't really able to test the Bolton defence, whereas the big man Dzeko scored. Okay that wasn't a quick question lol, but any thoughts?

Looking at the stats, Lampard is the second most creative midfielder behind Silva this season. And against a Norwich side which is clearly vulnerable defensively according to this article, i'd say Lampard's a good bet to get an assist or two and therefore some bonus points. Aguero came up short against the Bolton defense last game, so i would say Suarez was as safe a bet as you might think.
