Does seem like the wrong time to bring him in. The Burnley game in gw32 could be tasty, but apart from that it's poor until 35. May end up keeping Aguero yet.

        1. Walcott has only come off the bench once in the past two months.
        2. With Arsenal very probably to be winning it was all the less likely he would make a cameo.

So it was either start and likely get a haul against Newcastle or remain on the bench.

        Fortune favors the bold.

I posted this on the previous page, fwiw:

I get that we're all feeling like rage-transferring Aguero and Sanchez out. But as far as I can tell, (a) there are no obvious candidates for the next GW that are sure to score more and (b) the Euro qualifier break can involve injuries that would affect our transfers in. My point is that I am thinking about sitting on both, even if they are likely to drop. They are so high-priced that money for replacements will not be an issue. There is also GW 33 to think about--Aguero will play that week. So I'm inclined to let them ride for the next GW. Thoughts?

      1. Efan Ekoku Pops
        • 13 Years
        10 years, 8 months ago

As above. There are no obvious replacements for Sanchez, although selling him will allow extra funds to improve elsewhere. I might use the funds to do Austin > Giroud after next GW. Not enough GWs left to sit on players, in my opinion.

I think the case to lose Sanchez is stronger than losing Aguero. Next 4 are pretty tough, except bur, including a blank. He'll probably get a rest as well. Lots of other ars options as well. Aguero will score soon even if it's a pen.
