We delve into the Gameweek 20 data this evening in our first members article of the week. Wayne Rooney’s upturn in attacking potential arrives under analysis, whilst we also cast an eye over midfielders from Spurs, West Ham, Arsenal and Newcastle, before assessing Liverpool and Leicester’s threat in the final third.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

How am I looking, I'm itching to WC I'm -4 already and don't like my defence

    WC or Hold tight

    Butland
    Bellerin Souare Azpi
    KDB Ozil Mahrez Arnautovic
    Kane Lukaku Aguero

    Hennessey Antonio Moreno Evans

Would probably WC to something like this

    Butland (Hennessey)
    Walker Creswell Azpi (Simpson, Nyom)
    KDB Ozil Payet Mahrez Alli
    Kane Ighalo Aguero

With cash in the bank for Sacnhez return

We underestimate Yaya a bit here on ffs, as I see it.
But KdB got good underlying attempts backing up his points.
Yaya's points looks a bit more unsustainable from a stats perspective

Which of the front 8 sits out?

Payet (Bou), Alli (LEI), Mahrez (Tot), KDB (EVE), Ozil (Liv)

Apologies but a rare RMT from me, your feedback appreciated folks:

    Hennessy (Myhill)
    Toby Bellerin Wolly (Moreno Dawson)
    Alli Ozil Payet Ayew (Mahrez)
    kun (c) Kane Lukaku

Any changes for this week? Should I be looking at Ayew out for someone else? Should I play AOA to avoid benching Mahrez?

    Butland / Elliot
    Toby / Souare / Bellerin / Cook / Moreno*
    Alli / Mahrez / Ozil / Arnie / KDB
    Kun / Lukaku / Vardy

    2ft 1.0itb

Stupid to just hold on to Vardy? He migth just come back and score a lot of goals in a couple of weeks. Just do Moreno -> Cresswell, and hold the other ft?

Or just do Vardy -> Iggo and keep Moreno on the bench?

As long as Lanzini and Moses are out, I think he is pretty nailed on. Depends on his performance though. If he blanks 3/4 games, Bilic might drop him. Short term option imo.

Have 0.4 in the bank and 2 ft. Happy with my front 8

    Bultand Henn
    Zouma Soaure Toby (Moreno,B Jones)
    Mahrez Ozil KDB Cout Barkley
    Kane Vardy Igahlo

There's six/seven i could switch there however don't if i'm panicing. I've got two frees so whatever happens Cout and Vardy will be out but could be tempted to take a -4 in order to enable Aguero.

    1) Shots on target
    2) Shots in box
    3) Aby other you think?

I was all set on shots in box as it shows the quality of defence pressing and tackling but was alarmed by how many a good defensive side like Tottenham conceded SIB! (9 vs Nor(Home)

It'd be interesting to do a retrospective article based on big numbers. I bet they pay off a lot more than we give them credit for.

Willian and Siggy have shown great improvement these past couple of weeks...and boom.
We do tend to concentrate on the fails (Coutinho) more than the successes sometimes.

The brave would be gambling on Costa and Rooney for sure. Either that or just folk who want a different team to their rivals.

I don't think either are bad picks, in fact both could be inspired. Both have shown to be form players that get a goal and go on a run. I love FFS but the forums are always promoting last week's performers; sometimes you need to follow your own gut.

So I'm 1.5M short on doing Vardy -> Aguero. What is the optimal course of action?

    A) Vardy, KDB -> Aguero, Yaya -4p
    B) Vardy, Lukaku -> Aguero, Igalho -4p
    C) Forget about Aguero and do Vardy -> Costa

    Current team:
    Butland
    Dawson, Alderweireld, Bellerin
    Payet, Özil, KDB, Alli, Mahrez
    lukaku, Kane

    subs: Hennesy, Moreno, Vardy, Simpson

I'm going to have some difficulty deciding between Smalling (new) and Bellerin (liv) this GW.

    What do you reckon?

    1. FFFrog

Bellerin- more likely for attacking returns and Newcastle have a habit of beating the big teams at home

Tough choice. I'd probably go Bellerin, but you really could toss a coin.

I'm pretty confident United finish top 4, in case you mean summer. I don't think it would happen this month, wouldn't he be cup tied?

See above though. Also I have to imagine there's some displeasure at the fact he's now had 3 managers in a little over 2 years.

ITK's get it right sometimes, but it just doesn't make any sense career wise for a player like Bale.

Why do you think? United are a couple players and a competent manager from returning to stride. (not our win all the time stride, but a legitimate contender one).

He's also a welsh wizard who could come over to be our new one and be back in England. Why not the biggest club in England?

Because Bale can choose literally between any club in the world that can afford him, so why chose a club that _might_ return to glory. He's the kind of player that is very determined about his career, so they'd at least have to prove themselves a proper side again, and get rid of that godawful LVG. In my opinion at least.

Trying to say this with as little hubris as possible but we are literally too big to fail. It's not a matter of if we return to glory but when.

i'm in the same position mate.

I'm just holding until WC or I have a free transfer going spare. Too many other things to try and juggle and as long as your other keeper is nailed on then I think it's best to just keep him.

Maybe Kane. If Dembele is out, it might come down to a pen or nothing
Vardy, maybe. Form is out the window.
Costa, I don't see it. But I didn't see the Stoke game either. WBA were solid the two previous

By now i mean wait until he's about to go up / coutinho go down. No point until then as if it means you get to see the FA cup games first then its worth it.

Keep an eye on the price changes however so you don't miss out.

I do. It takes out a much needed dilemma - before we needed to decide whether we take an early-season WC or wait for the DGW. Now we don't have that decison to make - so everyone who's paying attention makes an early-season one - this encourages an early template which is not something that enhances the game for me. Agreed that January WC meant that we had a strong template team in January - but this rule change now moves that forward to September. And when DGW comes around everyone's teams migrate to the DGW template. I like teams being diverse, and so am not a fan of the 2 WCs.
