Dugout Discussion – Everton vs Burnley

After Arsenal eased past Brighton at the Emirates, we now make our way to Merseyside as Everton welcome Burnley to Goodison Park.

The Toffees’ start to the season has been far from convincing yet they have scored seven goals in their last three home matches across all competitions.

Budget frontmen Oumar Niasse and Dominic Calvert-Lewin – at 5.0 apiece in FPL – are both handed starts but Wayne Rooney’s 11% FPL owners are left disappointed as Ronald Koeman drops him to the bench for the first time this season.

Elsewhere for the hosts, Gylfi Sigurdsson looks to stake a claim for our five-man midfields ahead of clashes with Brighton, Leicester, Watford and Palace in the next five.

But Burnley’s away form will worry the home side.

Sean Dyche’s men have claimed points on the road at Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool, with Robbie Brady and Chris Wood looking their likeliest source of attacking points.

Like their hosts, the Clarets also have fine upcoming fixtures – they entertain West Ham, Newcastle and Swansea and travel to Southampton in the subsequent five.

                      Bodes will for my rank if all it takes is a few above average GWs in a row to get well inside the top 100K.

                      Must be a lot of deadwood teams who've already blown their chips in the top 1m who're now starting to tumble out.

                      Last year it was a major slog to get into top 20K then finally the top 10K after a couple of months...or it was for me at least!

                        Yep hang in there. Last season I also got into the top 20k early but found it tough to break the top 10k after that. Considering I did get there early I guess I did well to stay there. I also started last season in gw3. 😆

                        Going to try taking less hits this season and see what happens.

    People really need more patience especially over this international break.

    We've seen Pogba and Aguerro get injuries and it's only gw7. Some people even dropped Eriksen because of his yellow flag earlier in the week.
