For those who are predicting the Moses bandwagon to fall flat on its old testament face can you please enlighten me as to who is a better midfield choice for 5m or less. I really would like to know...as I can't see any better.

I can't believe I'm even considering Neville...to think its come to this. I think i prefer the risk of Moses than the guarenteed 2pts-3pts of Phil Neville.
De Jong's yellow cards actually make him ok for the start....he is poison come December when the bans kick in.
If he does fail all we will hear next year is "Remember Moses, look how that turned out!"

I must confess I have never heard of him. What made you pick him over the Mosesiah?
Anti Ipswich recommended him as the best value Norwich midfielder. He has a decent goals record in the Championship (gets-into-the-box type player) and is absolutely nailed on.
Mostly I just see Moses doing sod all and getting dropped. Why are we assuming he'll be the main points scorer when they have McCarthy and Watson as more established attackers? For all we know Jordi Sodding Gomez will take his place.
Having said that I may go for him, its just that he's being massively massively over-hyped.

You'd think so but the distraction of RVP surely negates all but some of Fabregas' allure.
Still, it's become quite obvious that no one has a clue where to spend big in midfield. Fabs might offer some security in that respect...

Wembley needs as many 'high profile' games as possible to pay for the building of it, that's why the semi-finals of the FA cup are being played there. So I can't see them letting the Community Shield to be played elsewhere unless they were given a big pay-off.

Not quite, AVB is a big fan of his fellow Portuguese compatriot Bosingwa, who has gotten a lot of games under his belt in pre-season! If they play 4-3-3 like he did at Porto, he will want Bosingwa's pace down the right flank!
Back four will be: Bosingwa, Tery, Ivanovic, Cole
Sub: Luiz and will prob sell Alex

Bosingwa has seen alot of game time but is that because Alex and Luiz haven't played and Ivanovic is at centre back?
Ivanovic is a very good full back and you cant be so sure that he won't start.
Bosingwa has more pace, and almost played every game in AVB's last season their under Mourinho. I think the thinking is that he will be more effective down the right in a 4-3-3.
AVB seems to prefer Ivanovic in is more favoured central position. Luiz was very shaky in defence, great at scoring goals though...
I've been following this a lot during pre-season, I think the Portuguese factor will play a role and that he will def start the first game!
I always assumed it was Scolari who signed Bosingwa? I doubt I'm wrong on this.
So Barca have wanted Fab for a fair while, Arsenal seem to be playing ball, and they're quibbling over £5m. Quite a lot, but probably not in terms of the fee they're talking about anyway.

You can always save passwords. or at least, I've never had a problem until the new FPL site came up.

My advice now is theres a week left. You've all probably been reading posts for months, tinkering for months etc.
The time is now to make some informed decisions of who you want. Ignore what everyone else is saying, stop posting RMT's and think for yourself. If you have the same team as everyone else, your never gonna come in the top 10,000 let alone #1.
So just assess your team, check for injuries, take a few cheeky punts on who you think will do well.. thats the beauty of the game. And enjoy it!

Bubbles! What's the deal with Rouledge moving to Swansea? MnL seems to think that he'll take Dyers place. Any thoughts?
I'm not a Swans fan B&B (kind of my second team, so this may not be quite accurate), but as I'm from not too far away I like to try and keep an eye on what's going on. A little anyway.
Routledge has been signed, and I think he may be the highest paid player at the club now, so he's not going to be sitting on the bench. Sinclair is going to play week in week out so unless one of Sinclair, Routledge or Dyer plays through the middle then it's probably unlikely that Dyer will be first choice. Player of the year last season though, so it's a bit unclear, really. I'd hold off until we see what's going to happen, try and find some extra £'s to upgrade him I think.
Thanks muchly. Think I'll go with a Canary as my 5th midfielder to complement Sinclair. Shame about Dyer as he was looking like a serious bargain.
I asked this on another forum, and a Swans fan simply said 'he won't replace Dyer'. But I just can't see how else they would fit Routledge in.
Dyer was their fans' player of the season last year
My guess is that none of Sinclair, Dyer or Routledge will be guaranteed 90. Two will start and the guy on the bench will replace one or other as the game goes on- Sinclair being most likely to see 90, I imagine.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not. However, at home Blackburn are fairly solid. Also Samba is their main man which he will not be at Spurs
Newcastle are rubbish. Man, they're really annoying me now. I hope they get relegated after all this. And Blackburn and Wigan.
There are so many bad sides now in the prem... Wigan, Newcastle,Blackburn, Norwich, Swansea, Wolves... It's difficult to say who'll go down

I suppose you could level the defensive thing at Swansea more. I agree with the Tarrabt point though. It's difficult to predict which one of the three will do well if any. I personally think Norwich will be terrible because they can't defend and i think Swansea will go down because they won't score enough goals. Alot will rest on Graham's shoulders
Wolves will endure as they always have.

agree, wolves will be fine. Stronger at the back with johnson and a bit more stability with good players like o'hara & jarvis

I had both in my first draft, now I have neither. To my mind 12.5 mil is quite a lot to spend on unproven rotating players, I'd rather get an established player I can play for the first 3 or 4 weeks without rotation and stick a cheapie on my bench.
Think I'm pretty happy with this team, still debating Rooney or RVP

Enrique only if he goes to Pool. And I'm not downgrading Lampard as he's the only nailed on Chelsea mid and I think he will still do well even if he's playing deeper as he does still tend to get forward, assists etc...

There was no mention of the knock Zamora picked up. Does anyone have any more information on this? Is there anyone else who has him in their starting line up considering dropping him?
His hand will be in a cast for 3/4 weeks but it won't stop him playing and really shouldn't be much of a consideration at all.
Through all my tinkerings he is the one player I've not been able to bring myself to remove 'cos I think he'll really deliver early on.
Yeah thats my thought on Zamora too as their early fixtures are too appealing but didn't want to take a gamble so early on if he is going to be sidelined. Thanks for the reply.
