    how sh!t is this new UCL Fantasy Football website! one minute I cant save my team changes, the next I cant even click and drag for a substitution. It is utter cack. Even worse than this yrs prem league website and thats saying something.

          Each league/mini league on FPL is ranked usually, FFS and TotalFPL always fight it out for #1, FFS won last year. I really want to know what rank my mini league is as there are some insanely lucky people on there...

            Ah right I am with you...do you know what I completely forgot about that missing feature. That was very useful come to think about it.

            I guess I was coming to terms with so many changes and glitches that I had forgotten about that little detail.

            3 people from my mini league have been randomly ejected this week, will thy ever iron out the bugs. I used to love the old format. Can't see how the changes were necessary...I am not buying it!

      Get vdv in. Nows ur chane at 9.7. Get rid of dzeko, ward and moses. That prob means areta has to go too, just for funds. Bos could go too actually, go shawcross instead. He mite not start every week and he loves picking up yellows, long and brunt wud fill some gaps on the cheap

          Moses is a like a bad N'Zogbia. N'Zogbia was a good player in a poor team last year. Moses is an average player in a terrible team this year.

        go for jarvis and enrique if you have some extra cash.Liverpool are far more likely to grab clean sheets over the season than newcastle.

          I don't know how people come up with such projections. It's like saying "It's very sunny outside" when there's clearly a thunderstorm that everyone can see. At the moment Newcastle are very solid at the back so your statement is invalid

    I'm concidering doubling on Sunderland defnders. I need shot of Martin and my options are either Brown (already have Bardsley) or Taylor (the Swansea chap). I am only fielding these players in GW5 7 & 10 so that is -

    Brown - STK WBA VIL
    Taylor - WBA STK BOL

    Brown is obviously more expensive and has the added risk of doubling up but it could prove fruitful after my poor start. What are peoples opinions?

      Whatever the fixtures I wouldn't like to double up on Sunderland defence. They've just not been that tight at the back!

      I have Brown and I'm hoping for a change in fortunes but I'd reserve doubling up on defences to elite defences with good fixtures.

      Not yet. If you go to gameweek 4 fixtures at the bottom of your team page in FPL, click on whichever game you want to see information on. This gives you a list of stats, including bonus points. They're not up yet for the QPR game.

          why did Baines only get 1? We're all as miffed as you are, mate. Assist gate and BPs are the worst thing about FPL. Everything else, you can compromise on but this actually affects the raw mechanics of the game, sadly.

    Bonus is out anytime this morning, normally before 9 but now I guess it's any time before 12.

    Just looked at some stats and although SWP was amazing last night, he won't be getting any bonus. 5 shots and only 1 on target. By the new rules that means he can wave bye bye to baps!

    I'd say Faurlin, Simpson and Taarabt are looking at bonus, not sure how many each though.

            But I didn’t mind missing out once in a blue moon because if I thought the gamble was worth it I took it. If they didn’t play I could blame nobody but myself. Now if people take the plunge you can argue that many are just lucky.

              Tons of people are lucky this year. So many of my work colleagues set up teams even though they don't follow football and they all captained Rooney. They haven't changed their teams since it started and they're miles ahead.

                We best put our handbags down soon had we not! However, I know how you feel. I have no issue with people having Rooney captain from week 1 – He was a good choice week 1 and ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’. I just hate the jammy ones who have used the vice captain.

      Mildly annoying I agree!

      I wouldn't mind normally but they probably specifically benched Simpson because they thought he wouldn't get more than 2 pts and made a piss poor captaincy choice and now they're being rewarded!

      I can't really complain cause I don't have Rooney and captained RVP but I'd be gutted if I selected Simpson and captained Rooney

        I can trump you – I captained RVP and benched both Magpie Taylor’s!

        Like you say, you’d be obviously quite chuffed captaining Rooney and playing Simpson or any other Newcastle defender. Then again you could be slightly annoyed that others do too if they played Dzeko. Plenty in my mini-leagues have done so and it isn’t fun to see.

        People will say it evens itself out – But whenever a big name player misses out it seems its others that benefit. I remember people getting Cahill as captain last year at Citeh when he was even on most people’s benches! From bench to captain, work that one out as fair! And then Rooney not playing a couple of seasons back and many getting Lampard as the armband wearer when he scored four against Villa.

          I captained Lampard that week so I remember it clearly.

          Still don't like the captaincy rule, makes such a difference when it's seemingly such a small thing. Doesn't matter how well your other players do if you get this one thing rights (e.g. Aguero, Rooney, Dzecko last week).

          I guess it's all part of the game and we'd be sighing in relief if we were the benefactors.

            Yeah, I have a problem with that. If you have a team that has a great week (say Silva, Nani, Sturridge and a couple of clean sheets) yet you get a two point captain, how is it fair that somebody with a disaster week (Brunt, Hoolahan, Wolves defence etc) and with a captain that doesn’t play ends up outscoring the much better team?

            But yes, all part of the game at the moment. Hope they change it next season – then again, they slightly changed that rule this year but in essence it is still the same shi**y rule.

    I am relatively happy with my start. Not great, but avoiding Chelsea and Arsenal attacking players (learnt this from last season with the exception of RVP) has worked terrifically (and before you ask, I did look at the fixtures intently).

    Anyway, I'd like to get some momentum. So any help on what to do with the following players would be massively appreciated.

    A Cole - I have Shawcross and N Taylor on my radar. He's on the bench for this week, but has got Swans at home the following week so should be a decent chance of 6 points.

    Sess - one of a minority who think he will come good. At home this week and probably on pens with Gyan gone, but...

    Finally, it is who I haven't got. My MF is uber cheap. Sess is the most exp. I can't have Silva as I have got 3 City. Damn quota - I'd have 6 City otherwise. Young/Nani have Chelsea home, Stoke away, rotation and taking points off each other plus other negatives to contend with.

    What are people's thoughts? Cheers.

      It would be so like this season for Chelsea to go and beat United this weekend. I'd be worried about benching Cole. Definitely hang on to him for the Swansea game.

      Sessegnon I'm not sure about. Would cocky Bendtner want to step up for a penalty if one arose? I'd say the game this weekend will be a low scoring affair, 1-0 maybe. His fixtures look good, but he's done nothing so far this season.

      How come your midfield is cheap? Where's your money going?

    who are more likely premier league game starters for united -

    Smalling or Jones?
    Young Nani?

    At start of the season I thought Smalling and Young? But this weekend has thrown me thinking maybe Jones and Nani if Young gets rotated more for CL. Can anyone help?

    To:

    Begovic/Ruddy
    Baines/S Taylor/Ward/Simpson/Shawcross
    Meireles/Silva/Nani/SWP/Ferguson
    Hernandez/Sturridge/Aguerro.

    I feel better now. Zero in the bank but team already worth 100.3 mil. Any thoughts? I feel this has to be an improvement.
