Luis Suarez is given more time to answer his improper misconduct charge. Fergie talks festive rotation, while the injuries pile up for Steve Kean ahead of the weekend game against West Brom.

Sir Alex Ferguson has given Fantasy managers early warning of his Christmas plans, with rotation very much on his mind. The United boss admitted he plans to utilise his squad ahead of a busy run of games over the next few weeks. With the champions facing a favourable run of fixtures, careful, risk-free planning looks essential for those considering their Fantasy assets over the festive period, in order to avoid disappointment:

December is a particularly busy month when we often play eight or nine games. We’ve got a Boxing Day Game, a New Year’s Eve game..it’s going to be a hectic spell and that’s when the squad really kicks in.

The FA has afforded Luis Suarez extra time to answer the improper conduct charge leveled against the Uruguayan following an alleged gesture towards Fulham supporters in the 5/12 Craven Cottage fixture. Suarez had initially been given until 4pm yesterday to respond but the deadline has since been extended. Liverpool have also been granted more time to answer a charge of failing to keep their players in an orderly fashion following the sending off of Jay Spearing in the same fixture.

Anton Ferdinand is expected to be sidelined for a couple of weeks due to a hamstring problem. The centre-half was subbed off at Anfield on Saturday with the problem and Neil Warnock expects either Fitz Hall or Matthew Connolly to be given a chance in Ferdinand’s absence. Warnock also revealed Heidar Helguson was rested for the trip to Liverpool and will be available to lead the line against Man United. In further QPR injury news, Warnock admitted Paddy Kenny could be available for selection on Sunday, though with Radek Cerny is such strong form, Kenny faces a fight to return to the first XI.

Alan Pardew is optimistic that both Cheick Tiote and Fabricio Coloccini will be available for Newcastle’s home clash with Swansea this weekend. Good news for Pardew in the centre-half area- Mike Williamson will turn out for the reserves tonight as he picks up the pace in his recovery from an ankle injury, though is regarded as “a long shot†for Saturday’s game. Pardew had to play Danny Simpson and James Perch at centre-half in the 4-2 loss at Norwich due to limited options.

Andre Santos is out for three months after undergoing ankle ligament surgery. The Arsenal left-back picked up the problem in last week’s Champions League match in Olympiacos and his loss means Thomas Vermaelen is likely to fill i

As i continue to slowly make ground on most of the casuals in my league, the guy at the top has a 105 point GW. Bleh.

Anyway, i can afford to do Sessegnon > Bale leaving me with a front 7 of….
    Mata, Silva, Nani, Bale
    Sturridge, Adebayor, RvP

My defence isn’t great but i never get cleansheets anyway so believe it’s best to get 5 cheapies that rotate well and hope for the best. A lot of value about up front leaving it possible to pump money into the midfield. What do you guys think?

Same front 7 as myself. I run with RTaylor, JEnrique, Jones, NTaylor and Caulker in defence too, so all's pretty good at the moment.

Goose, you could do worse than get one of the Gooner's cheaper CBs in, given their injuries and CSs recently, or perhaps upgrade Moses or Johnson. Bale's the obvious, but maybe Sinclair to Nani is on?

Verm is tempting either GW17 or 18. I hate the obvious transfer which has kind of cost me. I think your right about upgrading a cheap midfielder, considering a punt on Yaya or Adam. I dont fancy getting Bale unless its in for VDV, but im not getting rid of VDV this week. Sinclair to Nani / Mata is another option but i am a bit worried about keeping Moses & Johnson, both dont inspire me with much confidence.

Gut, don''t see a Spurs CS with Kaboul banned and King likely out injured. That leaves Gallas (a liability this season) and Bassong (a liability always). Still, other options are limited, so it's probably the right line-up.

So it goes to RVP where everyone here afraid of his return against Man City away but i got feeling he might score brace with City defenders issues at the moment (injured, banned, always conceeded) ... If Everton fail to keep a clean sheet at home to Norwich and then Swansea, then wise to get rid of Everton defence (Baines, Hibbert, Howard, etc) after double?

Club fans for their own club's info. All other to be taken with a small tanker of salt. 😉

Then there is all the deliberate misinformation, and the ludicrous bandwagons because someone got two goals against the worst defence but is against 3/4 top clubs in the following month.

Loads of good posters (I couldnt name em all as it would be invidious to do so, but there are loads) , its just rare to catch em all on at once. Applebonkers probably the funniest for me, but the best writing style has to be the rarely sighted Goodfish.

In terms of smart fellas to listen to then Tosey is good, always seems to try something a little different from the norm. As does Jamsiep (but not often successfully so I wouldnt categorize him as 'smart'). 😛

In terms of folks who have gone before then definitely MFaulkner was sound. But quite a few people who dont really go on here as much are now on twitter.
