Gameweek 21 proved to be a tough week all-round, as even our high-flying Paddy Power Cup V Quarter-Finalists had a trying time of it. Only three of the eight fantasy managers squeezed out a green arrow, and even their gains were slender. However, the real prize on offer was a prestigious Semi-Final place…

The highest-ranked manager in the round, Sc8tt26, was defeated by the narrowest of margins – a single point – at the hands of Funkyav. He takes over that particular mantle heading into the Semi-Finals, sitting 1,292nd overall.

Top-score this week went to Raasclart, thanks to a Nathan Dyer-inspired score of 61. Leaving the competition at his expense is Declan, who slumped to a 17-point loss. Equalling that margin of victory is sleepingmaster who advances to the money stage after beating CSKA Awful.

Completing the final four line-up is ChickenDevil, having edged past soulman27 to be the only Fantasy manager progressing with a red arrow this week.

      Cheers, with Cahill it depends if he starts the next two games. May hold onto BAE if necessary. I kind of rate Surman for 4.4m he is getting fairly consistent points as isn't any less nailed on than McClean. Also I don't rate dempsey for his price

  Presume your defence gives you three rotaters. Only one problem, Cahill, Shotton and Kelly all count as slight rotation doubts. Change one of them so that you get 3 definite starters every week. I know Kelly should start every game, its just to be safe.

  ba won't probably be back before GW 24, that'll be a waste of 10.5 million, other wise nice, are you happy with your GW combo, prefer krul/mignolet, also maybe look at getting rid of sess->walters by gw 24.

Always planned to just keep bale but thinking now that I may get rid, bought him at 8.3 so would have to find an extra mil to buy him back when spurs fixtures improve towards end of the season, thoughts?

  massive shift in spurs schedule. cant be ignored. only going to have bale probably through that run, but tripling up for the run-in, their last 10 fixtures or thereabouts is CAKE.

  Spurs like attacking football though and people rarely sit back (unless they're Wolves) and defend. I'm not getting rid of Bale unless he has AT LEAST three 2 pointers in a row.

    4 solid defenders, 3 with attacking threat, all with good fixtures. i can rotate the best 3 out of the 4 every week with the 4th being a sound bench defender to company either sessegnon or morison. Raylor could be risky in a few weeks, but i will have a couple trannys in hand by then. How often does one's 3rd bench option come on? and whats the average score of that option, 2 points? even if i got a zero once in the next 6 weeks, the other 14 in my team should make up for it.

Not too sold on Evans but not sure there's many better options in the price range (have 0.1 in the bank) unless I take a punt on Wes Brown or Shotton? Think it's a fairly balanced team

  Looks like a good team to me ... not convinced by Ekotto based on his fixtures in the near future ... and I'd be concerned by Shotton and R Taylor possible rotation risks but I do understand both are potentially OOP.

my take on AVB is that judging by his recent comments about lamps and the idea of getting the team to celebrate together is that he wants to present a united front at chelsea

so with sturridge moaning about not playing centrally does he:

a) play him out right where he isnt 100% happy
b) drop him where hes even more unhappy

I'm desperately seeking advice to help revive my now struggling team. After going up the rankings every week from GW7 to GW19 I was in 106th place...now I'm 179th after dropping two weeks on the trot.
I've had a big money bet with my mate that I finish in the top 250, so any advice from the footballing minds that be on here would be much appreciated!

My current team:

Krul (Bogdan)
Richards, Enrique, Evans, (Simpson, S Kelly)
Nani, Bale, Dempsey, Mata (Ferguson)
Rooney (c), RVP, Helguson

My bench has been a lot stronger in the past but wanted to free up some money to draft Rooney back in after Ba left and Adebayor lost form.
In 2 weeks time I will be looking to use the two free transfers I'll have but who to draft in?
Silva > Nani and Valencia > Dempsey? Is it time to get rid of Bale?

    I had a much better team until I played my recent wildcard after a few too many beers and my team value dropped from £109.8m to £106.7m. Ooops.
    I've had Silva every week until last week when he was an injury doubt and Mata has a run of easier fixtures coming up; he isn't a long term prospect at all.
    Needed someone to replace the Yak and went for Helguson, I still reckon he'll start.
