We’ve got seven games to pour over today, starting with a trip to Anfield where Arsenal and the newly-crowned Carling Cup Champions Liverpool lock horns. After that there are six 3pm games, including an opportunity for the league leaders Man City to once again open up a five-point gap at the top. The Dugout Discussion opens it’s doors for what promises to be another action-packed day of Premier League football.

The team news for our opener are in, and here is how they line-up…

Liverpool XI: Reina, Kelly, Skrtel, Carragher, Jose Enrique, Spearing, Kuyt, Henderson, Adam, Downing, Suarez.

Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Sagna, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Arteta, Song, Walcott, Rosicky, Benayoun, van Persie.

The home side are without their captain Steven Gerrard after he suffered a hamstring injury whilst on International duty with England. Also missing out through injury is Daniel Agger, which gives Jamie Carragher an opportunity to start. Andy Carroll is on the bench along with Craig Bellamy, which leave Luis Suarez to lead the line up front alone.

In contrast, the visitors have their talismanic captain Robin van Persie available to play, after it was feared he could miss the clash through similar circumstances to his opposite number. Arsene Wenger keeps faith with Yossi Benayoun and Tomas Rosicky after their fantastic win against fierce rivals Spurs last week. That means there is no place for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain once more.

After the dust has settled at Anfield, we’ve got six more games to come: Blackburn Vs. Aston Villa, Man City Vs. Bolton, QPR Vs. Everton, Stoke Vs. Norwich, West Brom Vs. Chelsea and Wigan Vs. Swansea.

    Just a thought here...

    I found this site just under a year ago when I was sitting comfortably in the top 1000. Having used the advice of this site for the last 11 months, this season I sit just above the 200,000 mark.

    I'm really considering if I start to give this site a miss, as much as I love it, and go back to my own instincts...

      I find listening to the comments on here to be damaging but using it for the articles helpful. Tbh your instincts are probably better than a lot of the advice we all give each other sometimes

        He's not saying that, it's just how he gets swayed by decisions on here. I don't think he's blindly following peoples advice, just taking it on board but it isnt always good

      this site gives you valuable information which you can use when making your OWN decisions. you don't need to blindly follow people's advice.

      You should do that anyway. The way I see it, this site provides stats, team info and other info. That should be helping your decisions, not the thoughts/opinions of posters on the forum.

            Problem is sometimes you can have all the 'information' in the world and for all the careful planning and taking into account of the statistics and consensus here, things just don't go for you.

            Aguero captain today for example, I'm not saying I wouldn't have done that otherwise, but all the information and statistics(Aguero's home form, Bolton's defensive record etc.) and the consensus (everyone who suggested he was getting rested was shot down in flames), it still doesn't go for you. So often people who go with instinct despite this info (RVP roday) have come out by far better off.

      I agree tbh, I find a lot of peoples advice on here does influence my decision, and usually in a negative way... that's why I only log on during match days - so I can see everyone whinge

      I think the problem is this site leads you to over think, over analyse and over complicate things. It puts players in my mind that I'd never normally consider and a couple of times I have bought these players in and been stung.

      Maybe I am to blame a degree for listening to all the advice, but when half the site tells you to do one thing its all too easy to listen.

      I still have gone by my instincts at time, but by reading this site my own opinions and decisions are getting marginalized quite organically, it's so hard to know what my own instincts are and what has been brought on by reading discussions here.
