A pivotal Premier League game kicks off Gameweek 30, with Champions League qualification on the line. The Dugout Discussion opens as 5th placed Chelsea host 4th placed Tottenham. A rare win for the visitors today (no win at Stamford Bridge since 1990) would not only stop the rot, but also go a long way to sealing their berth in Europe’s elite competition. The team sheets from Stamford Bridge are in, and are as follows…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Bosingwa, Cahill, Terry, Cole, Essien, Lampard, Ramires, Mata, Sturridge, Drogba.

Spurs XI: Friedel, Walker, Kaboul, Gallas, Assou-Ekotto, Modric, Parker, Sandro, Bale, Van der Vaart, Adebayor.

A host of changes for Chelsea sees Branislav Ivanovic, David Luiz, Raul Meireles and Fernando Torres all dropped to the bench. In come Jose Bosingwa, captain John Terry, Daniel Sturridge and Didier Drogba.

Harry Redknapp is boosted by the return of Emmanuel Adebayor, who starts with Rafael Van der Vaart at the expense of Louis Saha. Elsewhere, William Gallas and Sandro replace Ledley King (not in squad) and Niko Kranjcar.

Following that we’ve got another seven games to pour over, finishing at the Britannia Stadium where Manchester City will be looking to go back to the summit of the league, if only for one night.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom will stay open throughout the day, and can be accessed right here.

Ha not in the slightest, I can easily admit that it's not over yet. All I will say is going on fixtures and form, United are the best bet but that can change, City are starting to crack though.

City still have to go to Arsenal at The Emirates then play Manutd. Manutd on the other hand can afford to lose to City and will still probably win on goal difference if they are equal on points.

Now go and ask your father in law if he would put his house on City winning the league if he is that 'right most of the time'. If Manutd win by a 2 goal margin we are 3 points clear and clear on goal difference.

Not really bothered as long as it's a good race. I prefer Button to Hamilton though.

This is going to sound knee-jerky but is anyone considering splashing out 7.8m on Baines? With many having 2 or even 3 cheap midfielders now I know I'm not the only one with a pile of cash in the FPL bank. With ownership of 6.7% he could be a great differential.

Everton are in their usual end of season good form and their fixture list reads WBA, nor, SUN, sto, mun, FUL, wol, NEW. Old Trafford aside, he could be played in every game.

Liverpool defender out, Baines in. I'm starting the bandwagon.

Gentlemen, now that the game's over I'd like to get your opinion on a plan I've been working on. I'm thinking about rotating Dempsey and Odemwingie for the rest of the season; quite an expensive rotation, I know, but it produces a run of NOR / BLA / QPR / WIG / AV / SUN. Plus the other would make a great first sub! So, what say you, FFS? Is this a decent idea?

Could be BUT Odem has been a bit on and off this season so may not produce in those games and it'll be absolutely heartbreaking if you have one of them benched and they have a stormer. Not a bad idea though!

You make a good point about Odem being somewhat unreliable, but there's literally nobody else I want for the final striker spot! Trying not to consider Adebayor unless he shows some tiny indication of goalscoring form, but I fear even their fixtures won't be enough to get him raking the points in.

You don't bench Theo cos it's City they're playing. In case you haven't noticed City are pretty average and Arsenal at the Emirates can beat anyone.

Theo will get the better of Clichy imo.

Out of the Cup. My 21 (Dempsey, Hangeland and Evra left) versus his 22 (Evans, Young and Odemwingie), plus he's got Cahill's BPs coming in.

      Yes.

They play us next week and we stink worse than festering cheese on top of a dungheap.

Get as many Arsenal players Even if ye take a hit our defence will make sure that you get those points back with interest.

The dream team so far for this week shows what a bad day its been. 4-5-1 with a Wigan defender, a Bolton defender, a QPR defender, 3 Arsenal midfielders and a striker who got sent off.

    REPOST..please reply guys....only got 1 reply yet..

Any ideas to do with my team for next GW, please?

    Schwarzer-Mignolet
    Skrtel-Evans-BAE-Caulker-McAuley
    Dempsey-Valencia-Walcott-Sigurdsson-Surman
    Drogba-RVP-Rooney

    Thinking :

    Drogba>Jelavic and Surman>Bale or VDV.

Will then be left with 0.0 or 0.1M in bank.-

Nice transfers? Or do you have something else to suggest?
