A double-whammy later and the Paddy Power Cup VI is down to just 32 fantasy managers. Rounds three and four went by in a flash, with 64 fantasy managers taking part in 96 head-to-head fixtures. The most recent 32 of which can be accessed right here.

On with the fifth round then, and the draw has been made and the full set of match-ups are as follows…

As you can see, the third and four rounds had some major casualties including yours truly and the gaffer, Mark. We’re also guaranteed a new name on trophy, as none of the former winners are in the mix. Each and every one failed to record the four straight wins required to reach the fifth round.

The truncated Gameweek 34 rears it’s ugly head towards the remaining Paddy Power Cup participants, and I wish them the best of luck as they tackle it. The fifth round results will be available shortly after the Gameweek has concluded.

Have to admit I've been looking at Rooney - SAF will have given all of them a good kick up the ass after the horror show at Wigan. I suspect RVP should do well though.

I'm torn but every time I captain Rooney I worry about RVP, when I captain RVP I tend not to worry as much about Rooney. I guess that sort of answers it.

I'm personally leaning away from RVP.

The only reason I am considering him is a lot of rivals are shafted for players this week, which means they are going to have him captain as not many other options.

That means do I use my captain as a canceller or really go for it with Sess/Rooney/Siggy/Walcott captain to maximise my extra players potential.

      Hmmmmmm.

SAF-Mankini mind games are sounding very weird at the moment. A scot and an italian sounding like Victorian English gentlemen - "You've won, sir, well played" - "No, no, I insist, you've won" - "Oh, no old boy, quite the contrary, you've won". Weird, man.

    Hey all.

Would Kelly->Turner be a good move? I am currently fielding 9 this week. It would be for a 4 point hit. I dont want to play either Kelly or Turner in the DGW.

Spose its a bit lame. Maximum upside is 2 points, downside is also 2 points (assuming Turner gets a minimum of 2).

    My current team is:

    Krul / Vorm
    Caulker / Verm / Evans / Turner / Simpson
    Siggy / Walcott / Valencia / Miyaichi / Bale
    RVP / Rooney / Cisse

I stupidly took Dempsey out for Walcott right before his mega game against Bolton thinking he was about to dry up because of Fulham's away form, hindsight's a wonderful thing.

Just done BAE > Verm and planned to do Bale > Sess to give me 11 for this week. Now I'm not sure if I should hold on to Bale which would save the TF to bring him (or VDV) back for the double. Or is Miyaichi's pitch time really in doubt despite 4 matches in 2 weeks.

Who do people see as the must haves for the double game week(s)? I'm 43 behind my mini-league leader but he appears to be copying my transfers the following week to limit the differentials.

    Sunderland defence lols:

    Bardsley - doubt
    O'Shea - might be unfit
Turner - might be rotated for O'Shea
Mignolet - might be rotated for Gordon
Kilgallon - played the last 3.....might be the best choice! 3.8....
    Bridge - LOL
