With their city rivals making a statement at Carrow Road yesterday, the Sunday Dugout Discussion opens to see if league leaders Manchester United can hold their nerve and restore a five point lead at home to Aston Villa. It’s the only Premier League game taking place today, and the team news for the encounter is in…

Man United XI: De Gea, Rafael, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Scholes, Young, Welbeck, Rooney.

Villa XI: Given, Hutton, Collins, Baker, Lichaj, Bannan, Ireland, Clark, Gardner, Weimann, Agbonlahor.

As expected, Sir Alex Ferguson restores Paul Scholes to his starting line-up in place of Ryan Giggs. There’s also recalls for Rafael and Danny Welbeck, with Phil Jones and Javier Hernandez dropping to the bench.

Alex McCleish is without the injured duo of Stephen Warnock and Chris Herd, so there are starts for both Gary Gardner and Ciaran Clark.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom can be accessed right here, and will remain open the duration of today’s football, including the FA Cup tie between Tottenham and Chelsea.

Van Persie seems to control Arsenal points; Utd's can go to anybody. Utd vs Everton games can be low scoring as well. Plus RVP got 19 points at Stamford Bridge earlier this season. RVP away at Stoke and home to Norwich in 36 and 37 is quite nice too.

The question is was yesterdays performance by City a flash in the pan against a team who dropped their heads or a sign of things to come now they have better movement upfront thanks to Carlos ?

SWA, WBA and SUN really had to get those cleanies this week when everybody but me wanted/needen them.

Struggling to decide who is due bps from the Sunderland v Wolves game. Sky Sports have Karl Henry and Hennessey as Wolves best players but have Sess as man of the match and Mignolet highest rating after that.

Kilgallon and Turner seem to do well on the bps front too.

It depends on what your admin set. If your fixtures for that league end at either GW 35, or 36 or 37, this means you will enter the knock-out stage and a new set of fixtures will be given to you after the GWs. However, if your fixtures end in GW 38, there will be no knock-out stage. It will be just plain points all the way till the season finishes.

When I mentioned a new set of fixtures to be given to you, it will be released after either GW 35, or 36 or 37 depending on what your admin has set for your league at the very beginning of the season.
