For so long a figure of frustration as a Fantasy asset, Victor Moses has firmly established himself as a legitimate midfield option over the last few Gameweeks. As Wigan scrap for survival, the former Crystal Palace man has been crucial to his side’s toils near the bottom of the table and, with Roberto Martinez’s men not quite safe yet, the Latics will be reliant on Moses to produce over the upcoming final two matches.

It wasn’t always like this. As many of us know only too well, Moses was reliable for one thing over the first few months of the campaign – delivering two point returns. The first 14 Gameweeks of the season brought a single assist and, with plenty on the boards losing faith in his abilities, Moses slipped down in price to just 4.6 by Gameweek 17.

Since Gameweek 23, however, Moses’ famine has turned to a feast, with his Fantasy owners benefitting from four goals, four assists and 11 bonus points in those last fourteen games. David Silva, in comparison, has provided a goal, a trio of assists and four bonus points for City.

With wins over the likes of United, Arsenal and Newcastle in the past four Gameweeks, Martinez’s men are in flourishing form and, once again, seem to be on the verge of a great escape. Three points clear of the drop zone, they’re handed the perfect opportunity to seal their survival – a trip to Blackburn this weekend, followed by a final day home clash with Wolves sees out the season.

Moses rolls up to Ewood on the back of his highest Fantasy points haul of the campaign, with a 16 point return in last weekend’s thrashing of Newcastle. Priced at just 5.2, he is second only to Nikica Jelavic for transfers in so far this week and, with faith in his abilities now finally cemented, many more are likely to give Victor the call before Saturday morning’s deadline.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I don't think he'll leave... i think Arsenal may have actually learned the lessons of last summer... they'll convince RVP to stay by signing at least one more big name...

Either way they have strikers that are surplus to requirements and will look to bring in a higher calibre of player this summer.

Hits for defenders for DWs and when there's 4 games left are OK, but not worth it with it when there's 2 games left and each player has just one home game remaining.

It depends on how bad your defence is for the final two games.

I only have Verm as a certain starter and non collector of minus pts this week..I'd happily take a hit for the likes of Walker or Huth for example.

I'm not sure what two games has to do with it.

Even if this week was a single gameweek anyone who took a hit for Walker, Kompany, Terry...would be laughing.

You'll always find players that are worth the hit retrospectively! The significance of the 2 games is that with any hit, it's not just the immediate GW that you can make the -4 back on, it's all the other games over the following GWs as well. but with 2 games to go, 1 home and 1 away, you don't have this run of fixtures to make it back in.

Was all set to do McClean and Cisse to Moses (though I could be tempted by Maloney) and Cisse to Rooney

Do I forget Wigan this week and look to move Caulker on in case Evans doesn't make it?

    repost as I'm an idiot

ok folks here is my team and dilemma

    De Gea

    Evans, Jags, Verm

    Bale, VdV, Dempsey, McClean

    RvP, Cisse, Jelly

    Mingolet, Siggy, Santon, Caulker

Was all set to do McClean to Moses (though I could be tempted by Maloney) and Cisse to Rooney

Do I forget Wigan this week and look to move Caulker on in case Evans doesn’t make it?

    Hello all. 2 quick questions!

    Schwarzer
    Evans. Simpson. Vermaelen
    Valencia. Dempsey. VDV. Mata
    Rooney. Cisse. Jelavic.

    Should I do:

    a) Cisse + Mata > RVP + Moses and play Shotton for an injured Evans. (-4)
    b) Evans > Evra (No hit)

I know that (b) is a free transfer, but Moses and RVP in look like decent transfers even for a -4. Thanks in advance!

You'll want Mata for GW38. Slight rotation risk, but with 2 weeks to go to the CL final I'm sure DiMatteo will want playing time for most of his CL team. You don't mention your 5th midfielder, but why not him -> Moses (or Pienaar)?

Nice thinking man, but that'd be a royal waste of a transfer 🙁

I want Cech for the last game against BBurn. And I'd rather play Schwarzer this week, so that GK I bought in would be pretty useless.

    valencia, dempsey, bale, mclean

I would look instead to move on Siggy and get Moses/Maloney in

Bored to the point that I'm genuinely struggling to stay awake on this course I'm on. Since it's like a deadzone on here right now I feel like posting a RMT for GW37

    Krul
    Verm, Evans, Walker
    VDV, Dempsey, Pienaar, Valencia
    Tevez, Jelly, Cisse

    Vorm, Siggy, Terry, Shotton

1FT and not enough funds to get RVP so I'm thinking Valencia and Cisse to Moses and RVP

As well as constructive comments, feel free to post anything you want. Going mad with boredom right now.

Same problem here man. I need to get rid of one big hitter to fund RVP in. Are you sure you want to let Valencia go? Especially with him having been benched to a disastrous effect for United last night, he'll surely play and United will look to score as much as possible.

It's a difficult decision in midfield. Dempsey and VDV both have the potential for bigger scores IMO and Pienaar is playing Wolves. The goal difference thing concerns me but trying to score loads of goals isn't the same as achieving it.

Tough spot with your keepers this week. Hope Castle can actually beat city but not gonna hold my breath. Hits worked out really well but in general I don't think they are worth it when you taking out players who are gonna play and have a good scoring record. With no Rooney I think u have to keep valencia.

In hindsight I wish I took a hit to do Krul to a DGW keeper with good fixtures (Howard/Friedel) but the idea of shipping SuperKrul in a DGW seemed a bit mad at the time. I'll just have to hope for a penalty save. The Krul/Vorm rotation has been amazing all season so hopefully it can produce for 2 more weeks.

The prospect of no Utd attacking coverage concerns me but I like my other midfield options too.
