A successful 2011/12 promotion campaign saw Southampton rack up the goals as Nigel Adkins’ side finished second in the npower Championship. Having found the net 85 times last term, the Saints immediately placed Fantasy managers on alert and on the lookout for new blood for their squads. The most obvious and popular pick was Rickie Lambert who notched 25 goals in the Championship, while Adam Lallana and new arrivals Jay Rodriguez and later Gaston Ramirez have also been touted as potential Fantasy options. Even Morgan Schneiderlin – who had just two goals in almost 150 appearances coming into the season – has received some attention after his goal against Man United in Gameweek three.

So tempted to doing my annual breaking of "Don't buy 'pool players" rule

with berba out, worth keeping Kačaniklić in lineup?
Open Controls-

i see you have him in your team also, will you be starting him ?

I am wondering the same. I have Tevez, Berba and RVP. Right now it looks like only RvP on top. I can´t see Tevez playing after getting 120 minutes in this week and Aguero back.
So I am wondering if Kaca is better than Tevez. I don´t want to get a ten minute Tevez one pointer...Open Controls

Evenin chaps! Just logged into my team for the 1st time since sunday. It look like a car crash! Federici, Ridgewell, Berbatov & Cuellar..
Berbatov -> Flether a no brainer? My squad is
Jaask/Fed
Cuellar Hangeland Baines Ridgewell Demel
Hazard Pienaar Ryo Yaya Michu
RVP Tevez Berba
Thoughts?Open Controls-
Ridge will play I think and cuellar in scout predicted line ups
Open Controls -
I think Berbs is way, way better than Fletch and (see discussion on previous page) he might well be back for the next game. I'd say it's a bit hasty to ditch him now.
Open Controls-
But then I will have to play Hangeland. I could easily bring Berba back in when he is fit..

Dagnammit! Waited until after cup games before making trades. Got berbs in yesterday. Especially stupid seeing as he wasn't going to rise before deadline. This game shows no mercy to idiots
Open Controls-
hahaha very self deprecating but you are right. It was asking for trouble and trouble is what you got!
I have the same problem although i've had Berbatov for a few weeks now. Probably gonna sell him for the man in your GravOpen Controls-
Berb > Suarez for the next few weeks is extremely tempting. Suarez to Lambert in GW10 for his tasty run of fixtures doesn't look too bad after that.

Out for 2 weeks.

It's in the Scout tweets. Never quite sure I believe managers anymore with non specified injuries.

so, with Berba supposedly out of action this weekend, is it worth playing Kaca over Graham for a cheeky punt?

Bent at 8.2 is tempting me. Please help me out of this delusion......

Granville must be crying now. He just got Berbs this week 😀
Open Controls -
rerost:
T E V E Z
Not included in the Argentina squad so he will start week 6, vs dortmund and vs sunderland and then he will be rested for 2 weeks while all other 3 city forwards will be involved so he will also start week 8
what do u think? reasonable r wishful thinking :)?Open Controls-
sounds sensible but things never work out like that do they? 😉
Open Controls -
pray with me
Open Controls -
Reasonable to regular guys like us but Mankini likes rotation so much he sleeps on a turntable
Open Controls-
Other than hart, kompany, Yaya and aguero
Open Controls

Tevez is a good option aguero is a better one. Nuff said.
Open Controls -
Being in the Argentian squad or not will not affect Mancini's rotation plans before the break at all.
All it means is Tevez is likely to start week 8.Open Controls

might just wc now with the berb news .t
Open Controls-
what did you do? I have the same front 3 as you before your transfers... should be able to avoid wc if cuellas fit?

So Berba's out? Should that change my decision on not doing Tevez -> Ba for a hit, or do I just let Kaca come in as a sub?
Jaaskelainen
Baines (c) - Cuellar - Rangel
Yaya - Michu - Pienaar - Hazard
Berbatov - Van Persie (v) - Tevez
Federici - Kacaniklic - Hangeland - Fabio
Thanks.Open Controls-
Squad can handle it, Spence. Wouldn't let it effect your long-term thinking on Tevez vs. whoever.
Open Controls

ok with berb injury i have 7.9 to spend, this must be a sign for ba time?
Open Controls-
yes
Open Controls -
At that price he is the stand out pick. Certainly a lot better prospect than Fletcher over the next few weeks imo
Open Controls-
Yes, playing Man Utd at home and Sunderland away, he's bound to do great 😀
Open Controls-

im a united fan and im never confident going to st.james! ba cud easily score with our defence looking shakey..and sun game, derby! unpredictable..plus reading game this gw! points to be made there.
Open Controls-
I kind of agree with that, but I think Newcastle are not nearly as good as last season, Sunderland away is a very tough fixture and ManU are bound to finally grab that typical 0-1 or 0-2 win somewhere.
BTW I rate Ba, but I also rate Fletcher and I don't think Ba's fixtures are much better tbh. I also don't think that Fletcher was lucky or anything, IMO he's pure class and Sunderland have one of the best wing combos in entire Premier league (McClean - AJ). So AJ back could just improve his chances. And finally - Sess will come good again, it's just a matter of time and again, this will just improve Fletcher's chances to do well.Open Controls-
i agree with your response:-) my other option was fletcher, and im worried not owning him for this gw but imo i feel ba will match or outscore him over the next few gws! just cudnt ignore the 7.9mil i had to spend and it made it easier with ba set to rise..good luck to u!
Open Controls-
You made the right decision
Open Controls -
Yeah that's always a problem, considering short term fixtures vs long term fixtures. I was tempted to get Ba in last week and it would indeed slightly improve my points, since I captained HBA, however owning HBA is what made me not get Ba in at the end 🙂 Just can't justify having 2 Toon up front with current fixtures.

To everyone getting Fletcher -- aren't you a little worried about getting him now before city away, toon at home, and stoke away? Yes, good fixture this week, but I think it's going to be tough keeping him if he struggles through that stretch. Not saying it's wrong, but just curious what your thoughts are on it.
Open Controls -
I need some input on my team.
I start the game on GW2, and my current lineup are:
GK: Vorm, Davis
DF: Ridgewell, Jenkinson, Baines, Reid, Cuellar
MF: Hazard, McClean, Michu, Santi Cazorla, Ben Arfa
ST: Le Fondre, Fletcher, Van Persie
Currently I have collected 253 point and here are my point break up:
GW2: 71 point
GW3: 78 point
GW4: 40 point
GW5: 64 point
Total transfer only 2 right now:
GW3: Nasri > Ben Arfa
GW4: Petric > Fletcher
Currently I have 2 free transfer, who should I transfer into my team. Any suggest might help. Thanks.Open Controls-
We don't need ur point break up
Open Controls -
Would have been better to stop writing at Van Persie. The rest is kind of irrelevant.
Anyway, Le Fondre is your biggest problem (as I'm sure you know). Lambert is your easiest fix. If you need cash for that, maybe downgrade McClean to Sterling and play 3-4-3. Sunderland aren't creating much at the moment.Open Controls -
This is tricky to answer without also seeing your GSCE results, your credit history and what you got for the last 5 Christmases and birthdays

Tiger looks bored shitless
Open Controls -
Ba or Zamora, advice needed since Berb has been ruled out, cheers
Open Controls -
With the newest Berbanews, would you play Petric (MCI) over Michu (stk) ?
Open Controls-
Add Yaya (ful) into the mix as well, not to mention I have Tevez in the startin XI -_-
Open Controls

I've been 100% out of the loop all week. Berba, Ridgewell look unlikely to play and I was just wondering is Tevez now a doubt to start after playing midweek. My team looks like a car crash at the minute but these are normally the weeks when things seem to go well strangely..
What seems to be the most popular transfers this week?Open Controls -
Berbs to Ba/Defoe/Fletcher. That is the question of the moment
Open Controls -
Tevez to Suarez or Lambert?!
Open Controls -
Molinari! Solid as a rock
Open Controls-
Nice from Johnson though - good putter.
Open Controls
-
-
Tevez to Suarez
or
Berbatov to Lambert
?Open Controls-
i woudl do tevez to lambert to be honest
Open Controls
-
-
0.0 in the bank means I'd need Berb to drop twice to get him back in as I'd be selling for 7.1, or drop once and Lambert to rise twice.
So do I just play fecking Maloney at Sunderland and Everton ?Open Controls-
I will have to play Noble v Arsenal and Southampton
Open Controls
-

So Morrison is looking likely to play tomorrow then? I brought in Sterling last night for his fixtures and thinking Morrison would be out for the GW. Play Sterling or put Morrison in hoping he gets a full game?
Open Controls-
Morrison playing Sunday!

Boom! Rory is on fire 😀
Open Controls -
What the hell? Berbs out? I've already taken a 4 pt. hit this week to get Baines in. Should I play Guthrie or take an 8 pointer to do Berba -> Fletcher?
Open Controls-
Play Guthrie - Berbatov might only miss one game and ex-players love scoring against us (Newcastle)
Open Controls -
Depends on who's on your bench, of course. As it always does when in comes to hits.
Open Controls -
Unless you want to get rid of Fletcher the following week, he's in for three terrible fixtures. I wouldn't do it.
Open Controls
-
-
is berba not playing...?
Open Controls-
Nope, see scout tweets.
Open Controls

My keepers play each other this week,
Play Vorm or Begovic?
Thanks.Open Controls-
Begovic.
