Custom Stats Tables – Preview Movie

In the next 24-hours we hope to go live with user’s custom statistics tables in the members area. If you’ve missed our previous posts about this, it’s a feature that we’re pretty excited about and one that really adds unique flexibility to the stats available to our Members.

In a nutshell, you can now create your own tables of stats for teams and players, using hundreds of stats available. You can save them to be retrieved every week for form analysis, you can even share them with the community and view other members’ creations, voting for the ones you find most useful.

We’ll be going live with a number of new tables that we’ve created and shared up but being able to make your own is the real beauty of this feature. From now on, for example, if you’re in a discussion on the boards and want to prove a point, you can create a table, share it up and post the url link for other members to see. Nice.

    Pienaar or Defoe this coming weekend. I'm thinking Pienaary given QPR seem to only wake up with about 20mins left to play and Pienaar will always be involved with the Baines machine about.

      If it was Ade or Bale or someone you were mulling over, it might be closer - but I just somehow can't see Defoe getting much change out of Cech et al. Pienaar's consistently great value, always at the heart of things. He makes Everton tick.

    Out of interest, it was picked up on by another member (in a polite manner) when I posted a link to other sites with free football stats that it was looked down on here.

    Is that true or is it free game? Obviously i’m not talking about copying and pasting member articles from here or anyone elses work, just the stats.

    Evening all,

    After 9 days of constant tinkering my WC team currently stands at:

    Bego - Schwarz

    Rafael - Cuellar - Santon - Baines - Wilson

    Santi - Bale - HBA - Sterling - Pieenar

    Lambert - Berba - Roo

    Leaves me currently with £1m in the bank (although I would hope after some more wheeling and dealing that this will be a little higher by the end of the week), with a view to upgrading Lambert when Saints fixtures drop off again.

    Any thoughts/suggestions gratefully received...

        You dont have to have city cover at the moment, no one is making themselves prominent in the city team and providing the goods. With the money in the bank he can easily change over to gain city cover when needed imo.

      I think by the point your using a colour coded ticker most people would think have to accept you're fairly geeky about this fantasy malarky.

      It's not for everyone. Statistics can be misleading and shouldn't be overly used imo. It is interesting stuff but I prefer to judge players performance from watching matches and looking at form/fixtures. Anything else is delving a bit too deep for what this is all about.

        No, a successful cross is simply a cross that is then touched by a team-mate before an opposing player. We can build the query for a stat that looks at chances created from crosses - I'll add it to the list I'm making.

          It's like Man v Stats.. I think the thing that gives Man the edge over stats is the
          gut feeling over analytlics statistics over the passion of pure gut/ __what you have seen.

          Digest the stats but go with your gut. Jees It's like Terminator FFS

    Quite a few Aguero + RVP teams knocking about today. I'm quite drawn to them. Obviously you get better 'balance' with e.g. Berbatov instead of one of them, but captaincy is so vital in this game, I'm drawn to having 2, rotating, smash-house captaincy options.

    I guess I see those mid-priced mids keeping a closer pace to the top-bracket mids, than I do e.g. Ba + Berbatov keeping pace with RVP and Aguero.

    Factor in that I would rarely consider captaining e.g. Silva or Bale, and it looks even more up my alley.

        I LOVE the look of the teams without either. They look like real football teams with solid back-fours. Depth up to the nines. I'm just also intrigued with the idea of having a clear-cut big-hitting home captain every week - and whether that ultimately won't score better.

          I see your point, and I'd love to keep my potential WC midfield and have RVP in there too. But when your RVP or Aguero misfires, you need the rest of your team to do well. Besides, I'd be happy to captain a Bale or even a Jelavic or Berbatov.

      The fact how good everton are nowerdays(Jelavic) and Ba back up front makes not having 1 of them a no no for me. So no need for that rotation risk now- still time to wait and see who is actually worth it. Im quietly looking at rooney as my third striker with Silva as City cover.

      To each their own, current day football is also built on stats not watching talent- moneyball rules the sports world. You also have a better chance of winning your money league if you master reading the stats 😀
