634x258 The Stock Check

Norwich go eight unbeaten, scoring twice for the first time since Gameweek 6, as the Black Cats leave Carrow Road empty handed. Here’s the Stock Check after Sunday’s events…

On the Up

Anthony Pilkington
Eight goals last season, Pilkington has now blinked on the radar this term having notched his second consecutive home strike after scoring the winner against United. The Norwich midfield has an array of options – notably Wes Hoolahan and Robert Snodgrass; Pilkington emerged as the most profitable option last term and is edging his way to that status now.

Sebastian Bassong
While the Norwich defence was breached for the first time in three home matches, Bassong still delivered for his owners, earning the Canaries opener for his second goal in three outings. Assured of his start in an improved Norwich defence, the former Spurs man has played second fiddle to the popular Javier Garrido but is 0.2 cheaper with a clear threat from set-plays.

Craig Gardner
Much like the Norwich midfield, there are options across Martin O’Neill’s side in this area with Gardner now perhaps emerging as the most potent option. Having struck eight Premier League goals with Birmingham in 2010/11, we know that Gardner can carry a goal threat when given the freedom to support the attack with his long-range shooting. Gardner could have bagged more goals today, denied by a fine Mark Bunn save in the second-half. At 4.9 in the FPL, Gardner offers budget coverage of Sunderland’s double Gameweek.

Going Down

Steven Fletcher
Undoubtedly Sunderland’s main goal threat after firing six goals this term, Martin O’Neill was forced to withdraw his leading scorer with an ankle knock. We await further news ahead of Sunderland’s two fixtures this Gameweek, with O’Neill stating that he is uncertain on the prognosis: further news is expected on Monday or Tuesday.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Thought I'd salvaged something with a final score of 49 (-4).

    My main rival got 71 (-4). 🙁

Can't quite afford a straight swap between Pienaar and Fellaini.

    What should I do please?

    A. Keep free transfer
    B. Rangel -> Davies and Pienaar -> Fellaini (-4)

    Mingolet - Jussi
    Rangel - Cameron - B Jones - Cuellar - Shorey
    Pienaar - Sterling - Michu - Silva - Bale
    Suarez - Berba - RVP

Please have a look at my team. I have a decent squad, but im bleeding a bit of money in spots and cant figure out how to stop the rot.

    Suarez just benched a week.
Pienaar has to go...ive had it with him now and YES still own him.
Vorm has lost me .3, but Begovic starts from now til the end of the season so that seems a waste of a transfer.

Players I want in. Arsenal coverage, Enrique or Sterling to couple Suarez, one City defender, one Reading or Sunderland.

2 fts and .4 in the bank.

Cheers and hope we are all having a good weekend. Stupendous.

Starting Begovic every game seems like a good plan to me. Benching him was just one of my f-ups this week.

        5 points lost starting Jaask.
Probably 8 points lost bringing in Enrique for Baines instead of Rafael.
5 or 6 points lost swapping Mata for Silva, and that also wasted a transfer.

To date I am over the moon having Bego and Cameron going every week. Away at Villa this week I may just start the pair of them again, since Suarez will be on my bench and ill need a 5th mid or 4th defender.

Enrique in is a good move. He got a CS and has the fixtures.
Silva I am not sold on and im upset with it, because I have him and he hasn't produced since he came back really. We could win 6 nil and there's no saying who has a hand in any of the goals. It's frustrating this year owning my Blues.

Many people had the same problems you had this week so don't worry.

I dont get it really......I have Suarez selling at 10.1 and he's 10.5....where's my extra money??? Seems a little silly to sell and lose .4, since i'll just get him back in very soon.

Didn't realise you would lose so much, don't do it in that case. I just reckon Suarez has had his day - I've been wrong before :-). But who else can you get in for the Arsenal coverage you want? Walcott should be the guy but he keeps getting little injuries, Giroud is key to the team, playing well and will get goals. I reckon he was just rested and Gervihno's showing yesterday is no threat to his place.

    Bale(0.3) Cazorla(0.1) Fellaini(0.3) Mata(0.3) Sterling (0.5)
    Berbatov(0.2) Suarez(0.6) Tevez(0.2)
    Out/In cost
Already did Bale > Michu because it’ll cost 0.3 to get Bale back later versus Suarez at 0.6 plus Bale could be out longer and Suarez only 1 GW.
