In case you missed last night’s message – happy new year to you all!

There’s no time to shake the fuzzy heads, 2013 starts right here for Fantasy managers with seven Premier League matches and another 11.30 deadline ahead of us. This is the final straight of what has been an exhausting but exhilarating festive spell and, as always on deadline day, we’ve opened up our Matchday Surgery chatroom for one last time before the break for FA Cup football next weekend. No shouting please.

Our first Dugout Discussion of the year follows at 12.30 ahead of Fulham’s trip to West Brom. Sadly, there’s no preamble this morning – I’ve been up early, sans hangover, tinkering and testing Rate My Team and the Hall of Fame for roll out later today. It’s looking good and we should be live with those features shortly after the final whistle from today’s three o’clock matches.

    Used 1 of my 2 FT yesterday, boring move really, I ideally wanted to move on Garrido and downgrade even more. I was looking at Davies and Naughton and to then thrash the extra £ elsewhere. But I brought in neither and got Ridgewell. Will it be a masterstroke, or a master failure?

    I just couldnt see another transfer to do, and I didnt want to lose one. Fingers crossed cus its about time I got some luck in FPL on a regular basis.

    Price changes are going to be manic aren't they? 14 days, everyone has a free WC, majority of players will use it this week, there is money to be made and definitely making more sense to play it tonight. The DGW doesn't look that appealing to me anyway.

                when dgw comes you will bring in caz/pod and nolan possibly. then when dgw is over you will want the template above again.

                  I'm not getting Nolan, regardless of the DGW. I ditched him last week for Walcott and couldnt feel better about it, his and West Ham's form is so poor.
                  How is this against Wildcarding anyway?
                  And who would you get Cazorla for? Mata and Bale both scored very well away to Arsenal/United earlier this year and now they are at home, plus the fact a few of us would lose a good 0.4 or so on them.

    For all my Torres taik yesterday and hunch he will do well and bottled it and went RVP (c). On the plus side 2 of 3 above me have made Theo (c) ....and they don't have Santi.

    A significant game for me at tea time !!! A good haul from RVP and Torres with a Theo fail will erase the horrors of GW 20.

    Is making money really that important in the second half of the season?

    I think i might end up using my WC only to sort out the defence primarily.

      i dont think money is a big issue anymore as it is the first WC. hence why im saving mine until after dgw unless something drastic happens
